  1. Nor should he show any bitterness towards ICT. He was more than happy to sign a 2 year contract extension with us. I cannot for a minute believe that at the time of signing he did not know what the likely budget was going to be. Yet within a very short while he is complaining openly about it, and I for one believe, deliberately engineering his exit , at great financial cost to the club. This I believe led to us making the risky, possibly 'cheap option', of promoting Foran, which many folk will now see as a mistake, and who knows what longer term financial problems lie in store, especially if we go down.
  2. It's a demonstration of what's possible when you think a bit outside the norm when working with advertisers and sponsors. Dicksons are sponsoring what's already in place with interviews, but further support and buy-in will be needed as we (fingers crossed) roll out further services to ensure they remain sustainable. Two new volunteers have joined the media team in recent weeks and are quickly finding their feet....freeing up others to develop new services. It's not all going to happen overnight and things will be grown at a sensible and manageable pace for the long term.
  3. Even one person is one to many, don't ya think ?
  4. Sam Winnall scored his first goal for his new club, Sheffield Wednesday, tonight (10 Feb) in theirv 3-0 win over Birmingham.
  5. If that means that JH is now off our payroll that can only be a good thing. He will do a decent enough job in the short term. He generally does.
  6. 1 point
What's happening at Ibrox? The club saying they have accepted Warburton's resignation and Warburton saying that he's not offered to resign! What a shambolic club they are.
  7. He'll be ideal for ship-steadying at Rovers. They were a good side last season but have gone into freefall of late. Oddly Yogi's new appointment is likely to go largely unnoticed given the 'He's gone!/Naw he hasnae!' comedy over at the new club.
  8. Will just need to get in contact with Brorra then
  9. Of course relegation would be bad as there would be no guarantee of an automatic return to the Premier League. This would involve major changes then having to happen at the club and would set us back several years no matter how nice the scenery
  10. Not been on here for a while due to laptop problems but anyway heres my tuppence worth. I've not been able to get to a game this season but have seen what TV has had to offer and what the papers write. I do think its been a pretty bad season for us but I also see that as being the same for a number of teams. There is six points between sixth and twelfth so, to me, that is seven teams fighting relegation. Any of those teams could kick away, including us, and any of them could end in bottom two. I wont give up believing till its mathematically impossible too avoid going down. Relegation...Is it so bad in the current set up. There is more money filtering down now as opposed to last time. There is still a lot of quality in Championship as can be seen by the difficulty Rangers Hearts Hibs and DU have found trying to get back up. I think we'll survive but I also hanker a wee bit for a change of scenery
  11. Lest we ever forget the day the Caley went Feckin Ballistic.
  12. Here's the last of the videos.....Dicksons are the new "Interviews Sponsor" for CaleyJagsTV. I should also hopefully have some good news (especially for overseas fans) in regards to expansion of CaleyJagsTV in the very, very near future. Having been let down on the tech front so many times over the last 12(?) years of trying to get things up and running, I don't want to get ahead of myself until it's in place!!
  13. Got bored after the first sentence...perhaps slightly off topic, no?
  14. This is just for supporters buses information. If you want to discuss The machinations of CJT start another thread.
  15. It would be nice to think so but, somehow, I doubt that was the reason for the event being cancelled.
  16. I had my work mobile and when we scored first I phoned my father in law a Celtic supporter, I had just got through when they equalised, phoned again when we scored again and he just laughed at me saying Celtic weren't finished, phoned again when we scored the third goaland he told me to **** off and put the phone down
  17. We are on the worst run in our clubs history, we are bottom of the table and are six points away from safety. Our next three league matches are against Hearts, Rangers and Celtic, all games we will be heavily favoured to lose. Assume that we get through those games with the same gap, we'll need to make up six points on someone in the last eleven games. Can anyone honestly say that we are capable of doing that? We have been abysmal this season, of all the regular players who would anyone say has had a good season? Tremarco, perhaps? Other than him I can't think of anyone who has performed to the levels required. We have a goalkeeper who constantly makes mistakes that cost us goals and matches, a defence who constantly present the ball to the opposition, a midfield who can't use the ball to attack or cover the ground to defend, attackers who can't score or create chances, notwithstanding the last-minute loan signing on deadline day. On top of this we have a manager who makes constant changes to no effect, doesn't appear to have a plan, doesn't seem able to organise the team properly and can't get a win. If we hadn't appointed Foran and had recruited someone externally who had this record fans would be far less forgiving. Foran is a legend as a player but we are in serious danger of being relegated and falling down the Dunfermline / St Miren shaped hole of lower league obscurity. The hope has to be that we make a huge improvement in the next ten games or so because if we continue to play the way we have this season we are going down, it's a certainty.
  18. Get Brian Rice to feck and bring back Russell.
  19. Definitely going to go. On the bright side, if there's a poor turnout from ICT, I doubt if it'll be much of a draw for Celtic fans either (albeit probably more will come from the Highlands to support them tan ICT). Big empty spaces in the stands. Might help us, more used to playing in ghostly empty stadiums, rather than them. It's my straw and I'm clutching it.
  20. If you want to make a political point please post in the appropriate forum,....then again, we don't have a forum for bizarre and ridiculous conspiracy theories.
  21. John Hughes said some good things about his time and the players he managed on North Tonight this week, showed no bitterness towards the club at all. Good luck to him.
  22. I'm not suggesting a ban on BBC Journo's lets charge them for entering the stadium after all, the BBC are swindling Scottish fans out of £4M for a service which is extorted from all of us whether we watch their tripe or not. If nothing else it might highlight the inequity of it and possibly embarrass (if that's even possible with the BBC) them into a more equitable sum for the rights. It would certainly hit the newspapers if the clubs did it.The independent firms can do what they like but the BBC is a publicly funded body receiving £3.5Bn per year much of which it wastes via BBC Media Action trying to undermine the democratically elected Syrian government amongst others.
  23. Well if that's true we are still paying Yogi and haven't lump sum paid him off then he's still an employee so get him in and back to work sorting out the defence. If I was on garden leave from my job I'd be expected back if my employer requested it.
  24. Quote If you want to make a political point please post in the appropriate forum,....then again, we don't have a forum for bizarre and ridiculous conspiracy theories. Kingsmill,a) I was not making a political point. b) it's not a conspiracy theory it's a conspiracy fact clearly you watch too much BBC propaganda http://www.ukcolumn.org/article/bbc-media-action-subversion-broadcasting-house-kazakhstan
  25. McGowan would be a solid signing but I'm not sure how focused on football he would be able to be with his father currently facing trial for murder.
  26. Who the hell do you think you are? Some chance this poor lad has with you passing comments like this.
  27. Maybe so but why would anyone highlight something so cruel . Would it not be better to focus on the players football skills rather than something he has no control over . IMO it's stooping pretty low .
  28. IMO this comment doesn't have quite the nasty tone as your original but I still dont see why you had to bring up something which I'm sure he struggles with.
  29. DD ..The "move-on" remark and the lesson it taught me related to a special circumstance in my life: I had bought a townhouse and tried not to listen to the stories I heard about how it was run by the Committee voted-in to run the complex. Ultimately I joined the Committee because I had misgivings about what I saw and heard..e.g. there were only 5-6 committee members most of whom had been there since the complex had been built only a few years previous and had become used to doing things and getting their way in everything. So much so that matters were discussed at the complex's postal box in the street by the "Old Guard"and decisions made about what was to go down before meetings even started. And, as an Ex Bank Inspector and Manager, nor did I like what expenditures I saw on the Balance Sheet and Profit and loss account. An issue at the Committee meeting was being debated and I voted against it, at which point a member leaned towards me over the table and said 'Oh, I can see you are going to be a "no-man", eh?" Subsequently, some damp was discovered in a few attics and an Inspection was done which stated that my attic was clear. However, all units had to pay $1,800 (about 1,149 pounds) for their share of the repairs to those attics that had even minimal damage. I suggested that the total bill was daylight robbery since the infestation only affected a few units and then found that the Committee had not obtained several estimates for comparison purposes. By then it was too late and we had to pay-up. I then advised the Council by letter that in my opinion the amount of money that had been set aside for the future roofing replacement in the Balance Sheet was inadequate, pointing out that this complex had double roofing, one above the other, but this was ignored and no action was taken to review the issue. Also, repairs were authorised to be made to the large, rear concrete slabs of some units. However, I had noticed with interest that the Chairman's slab and other's, which in my opinion did not need any major repairs at all, were also included in the work done. When we had moved-in the monthly fee was some $120. Eight years later, when we decided to move out, the monthly fee had been increased to $185. i,e. a $65 (54%) increase being 7% per year when the average annual inflation rate over that period had been about 2%. This did not include the annual property tax bill. So, realising that this was all about power and position within the complex and not about prudence and common sense, we moved out and bought a detached home losing a substantial sum of money in the process because the market had started to slide downwards by then. Months later I met a resident in the street who told me that there was an uproar amongst the residents in the complex since the B.C. Government had brought in expected regulations to make sure that all townhouse and condominium developments had to now produce records every year showing that money set-aside for future repairs and upkeep matched the assessed value of the needed repairs AND that these regulations meant that our Committee had to increase the monthly fee to $300. Which of course also meant that the existing residents would now have much greater difficulty in selling their individual units and would have to face a similar selling price downgrade just as we had to. Meaning? That if you are up against intransigent power cliques who are not morally motivated and whose minds are closed to ideas that are based on common sense and a willingness to embrace new ways of doing things to prepare adequately for future challenges that can be foreseen, then stop trying to convince them ... just move-on.
  30. No attempt to cover it up. I removed the incorrect tweets to try and ensure nobody else got confusing information as a result of my error. To my knowledge only one person had to be contacted....obviously you....so not a widespread issue.
