  1. Yes, the silence since the new chairman's appointment is as 'loud' as before. Very disappointing. I feel that the longer it continues, the more likely that Foran will stay. Surely the time for action by the new man at the top was within a day or two of his appointment. As others have said, Foran continuing may affect ST sales, and I'm sure the recruitment of new players. Can't for the life of me figure out why Richie has not been booted. Must be down to the potential compensation package which his ridiculous 4 year contract attracts.

Unbeaten in dozens of matches against Scottish opposition....yet Gibraltar's Lincoln Red Imps beat them at the first attempt!
  3. Ludicrous if Mulraney is being let go - would suprise me as would the club have used him for the launch of the new tops? I know he's been a bit 'pace but no final ball', but he is a young player with lots to learn - a decent prospect. Boden..not too fussed one way or another. Makes you wonder who'll be left in the squad if we are shunting out players on long contracts? Rather Foran left, to be honest..
  4. I hated the Scottish cup final, it was utter torture. Decent first half and excellent goal but we were rotten in the second half and I'm still kind of amazed we won it. Marley Watkins is owed a lot by this club for what he did in that game. The semi-final is my favourite moment as a Caley fan, what a performance.
  5. Ok we keep richie and punt rice. This is the same guy that was part of the team that got lang. Mcart. Mcnaughton mackay mackay king mulreany to come in. The teams recruitment has not been terrible. The coaching ,application of tactics and inflexibility to listen to advice has been major issue. Of more concern is his overbearing ego poor man management and isolation and blame of players. Fisher, ofw, esson, warren comes to mind. Maybe malpas can influence this poor management behaviours and coach richie to improve. I am amazed if he stays though. Any other job his lack of responsibility and bullying of fisher etc would have got him sacked.
  6. Four year contract was an og in my view. As much as RF is (was) a good player and nice bloke he is not, at this stage in his managerial career, any feckin good. I fail to see how he could attract talent or motivate players to join ICT. I fear we will be relying on the very basics of local talent - fine if you're in L2 or HL - but not good enough if we want to bounce straight back up in to the PL. To keep RF on smacks at a lack of ambition and desire to me. We're going to be in the Championship (or lower) for a good while I reckon. Hope to goodness I'm wrong but I see no signs of me changing my mind just yet.
  7. If Foran stays, I can see it having a significant impact on ST sales. There's no two ways about it.
  8. Think it is a brilliant promotion by the club and mcewan fraser to organise the first 100 kids to buy a shirt get to play the team . So much positivity with great photos and positive press outside of our own little fishbowl. Well done caley thistle and everyone involved. Think it will be a lot tougher for the team than some of the other freindlies we arrange pre season. Some of those 7 year olds are dirty tacklers and would put forres mechanics to shame. Nice to smile at something this week.

I know we have all been critical of the club of late and some of the recent comments have been over the top! However we really need to start getting the basics right for instance I was down at the stadium this morning hoping to purchase a new away top for my son and surprise surprise the club shop was closed with no notification of whether it would be open or not! The doors to reception were also closed. Do they want our money? Granted I could have phoned / tweeted beforehand to check but come on it was 10.45 on a Saturday morning and I grudge spending my work lunch time through the week going down to the shop. It's time we got our act together its little or basic things like this that gives off the impression that we have a amateur set up! I do not want to blame individuals here but the club as a whole who really need to step up a gear!
  10. Hoping Accies run riot. Sick and tired of hearing biased pundits like Willie Miller lamenting wee teams displacing the 'big teams' in the top league. The closed shop mindset. It's good for Scottish football having Sevco, Hibs, Hearts and Dundee Utd in the SPL don't you know? Heck, lets go the whole hog - just give them the 10 team Premier League they keep asking for already, and bring back the 10,000 seater stadium rule to boot.
  11. Afraid its more of a barrel rather than a 6 pack....
  12. With any luck, if Hamilton do stay up, we will swap places with them at the end of next season..

Great FA Cup Final today and richly deserved win for Arsenal, who could/should have scored 5 or 6. Two big calls by referee, both spot on imo. Firstly, overturning the linesman's offside decision for Arsenal's first goal, and secondly, being brave enough to give Moses a second yellow (and therefore a sending off) for his clear dive in the penalty box. A lot of referees could learn from this. Well done to the ref. They often take a lot of stick, but this one got the big decisions right.
  14. That's Graeme Shinnie with Captaincy of two sides in the SC Final. We certainly handled Celtic better methinks!!

Two very good cup finals today. Felt sorry for Aberdeen coming up blank this season, they came close today with a great effort, but hats off to Brendan Rodgers and his team for a class act this season, they deserve the plaudits. Both games were great adverts for the game of football - pity the quality of entertainment on display at Hampden didn't represent the quality of our Premiership as a whole.
  16. Hehe, me too but I wear them anyway..
  17. So it's been confirmed that a short leet, and hence a vacancy, actually exist?
  18. Scottish cup, that is... Still follow Marley Watkins on twitter & really chuffed for him just being selected for the Welsh squad - one of the best players we've ever had, what a find he was!! True gentleman too...
  19. At least we know which country to scapegoat if next season's a disaster
  20. Yet another IHE stooge on the board.
  21. Who knows? If we had Armstrong, no point saying 'what if' - he went & thats it, time to move on..

They really are poor down there, I've seen me going to reception to ask if shop can be opened so I can buy a ticket or just have a look and I just get impression I'm simply wasting their time so I usually just rush off without really bothering. Even people looking to get tickets which could potentially be their first experience, get the obstacles and cold shoulder treatment. Place is a joke
  23. Or there may be negotiations with individuals taking place that cannot result in a public statement of any kind until fully resolved.
  24. Here's an interesting warning in the Herald Sport from Graeme Shinnie about throwing the wrong ballast over board 'Armstrong has been one of the form players in the country this season and if he performs as he has both domestically and in Europe, as well as for Scotland on his international debut back in March, his side will be difficult to beat. The 25-year-old’s resurgence after a difficult season and a half hasn’t come as a great surprise to Shinnie, who first came across him when he was coming through the youth ranks at Inverness Caledonian Thistle. But the rise to prominence of a player who is reportedly interesting several Barclays Premier League clubs in England has also underlined to him how badly the Highland club blundered by letting him go. “Stuart was at Inverness at the same time as me,” he said. “He was coming through in the U17s when I was in the U19s. “Caley actually released him because they needed to cut money after being relegated – which was a major mistake on their part. They will be kicking themselves for that. “You could see back then that he had a lot of potential, but the decision was financial because of what happened. '
  25. I would like to see them sell more of those seats for life, a brick with your name, or do online raffles over Facebook for signed merch or something.

I suppose that Kenny Cameron’s resignation had a ring of inevitability about it after we were finally relegated. It’s a sad way to end a Chairmanship that delivered a degree of success that might never be bettered. Scottish Cup winners, League Cup finalists, Championship winners and UEFA league qualifiers. That’s a hell of an achievement for what, in anyone’s definition, is a relative football backwater. That all of this was done on the back of a small support and an almost complete absence of financial backing makes it even more noteworthy. I’ve read a lot on here in the past couple of days that bears no resemblance to the man that I know. Uncaring? I’ve witnessed the pain when things have gone wrong. Uninvolved? I’ve seen the tears of utter pride and joy at Hampden. Uncommunicative? Time and again I’ve struggled to get a word in edgeways. There’s a tale of someone fetching up at the stadium looking for a “tour” and being shown around by “this old guy”. Time and again he’s chatted to our mascots, patiently explaining about why we couldn’t sign Messi – at least not this week. He didn’t take a salary. This is not a man who didn’t care. As a former Chair of CJT, he helped us achieve things that we could never have done without his support. He was instrumental in getting funding to charter the trains that took our fans to the League Cup Final against Aberdeen. As far as I know, it’s not been repeated. Any initiative for pricing and ticketing, he always involved us. Sticking up for us against the League’s central belt bias? Every time. I know that Kenny was incredibly well regarded by others in the SPFL as someone who was both engaged and genuine and the club benefited from that influence. However, if things go wrong there are fewer more exposed positions to be in than a football Chairman or Manager and when change happens it’s usually sudden, unpredictable and pretty brutal. That’s where we are right now and why there’s been the amount of anger expressed here over the last few weeks and months. Mistakes have undoubtedly been made but now cool heads are required to identify a clear plan to take us back to the Premiership and this year – of all years – it’s achievable. There is no Rangers, Hibs or Hearts to mount a challenge against and the club will rise to the challenge with the support of all of us, including Kenny’s successor. On a personal note, Kenny was a stranger to me when I first met him through the club. I now count him as a friend and I’m a happy boy that we shared experiences from Glasgow to Bucharest. Enjoy your retirement with Christine. You’ve earned it.
  27. Sorry but I dont think Graeme is correct? Armstrongs parents moved house and he went with them.
