To welcome Susan to the club and with such a good opportunity for a bit of fun is there any chance we could come up with a good song for him. Do you think we could come up with an alternative lyriced .'boy called sue' . Even better if someone could then get there guitar out to play it.... JOHNNY CASH A Boy Named Sue Lyrics New! Tap highlighted lyrics to add Meanings, Special Memories, and Misheard Lyrics... Play "A Boy Named Sue" on Amazon Music Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language: Well my daddy left home when I was three And he didn't leave much to Ma and me Just this old guitar and an empty bottle of booze Now, I don't blame him 'cause he run and hid But the meanest thing that he ever did Was before he left, he went and named me "Sue" Well, he must o' thought that is quite a joke And it got a lot of laughs from a' lots of folk It seems I had to fight my whole life through Some gal would giggle and I'd get red And some guy'd laugh and I'd bust his head I tell ya, life ain't easy for a boy named "Sue" Well, I grew up quick and I grew up mean My fist got hard and my wits got keen Roam from town to town to hide my shame But I made me a vow to the moon and stars I'd search the honky-tonks and bars And kill that man who gave me that awful name Read more: Johnny Cash - A Boy Named Sue Lyrics | MetroLyrics
  3. @Robert recently reminded me that I had not posted the details of the Player of the Year for last season. I have now tallied up the final totals and it ended up a landslide ....... There were a total of 3193 votes cast over the season for 26 different players, with one player taking 'Player of the Month' three times and eight other players each winning it once. Players of the Month : Jul : Jake Mulraney Aug : Ross Draper Sep : Owain Fon-Williams Oct : Carl Tremarco Nov : Lonsana Doumbouya Dec : Carl Tremarco Jan : Carl Tremarco Feb : Billy Mckay Mar : Greg Tansey Apr : Kevin McNaughton May : Alex Fisher Over the course of the season the player with the highest number of votes cast for them (regardless of the value of the votes 5/3/1) was Carl Tremarco with 406 votes. In second spot with 287 votes was Ross Draper, next up with 225 was Owain Fon-Williams with Greg Tansey and David Raven completing the top 5 with 195 and 174 votes respectively. In terms of "Player of the Year Points", I dont think it takes a rocket scientist to figure out where we are going here but lets just give all the details ..... The highest totals per month were as follows Jul : Kevin McNaughton (10) Aug : Ross Draper (14) Sep : Brad Mckay (10) Oct : Carl Tremarco (20) Nov : Carl Tremarco (6) Dec : Carl Tremarco (13) Jan : Carl Tremarco (7) Feb : Billy Mckay (13) Mar : David Raven (10) Apr : Kevin McNaughton (12) May : Alex Fisher (13) With one player getting the highest points total for 4 months in a row and also picking up some points in 5 of the other months, it should come as no surprise to anyone that our player of the year for season 2016-17 was .... CARL TREMARCO, pictured here with my lad who is hopefully a future winner of the same award The final points tally, as I mentioned was a landslide. 01 : Carl Tremarco - 73pts 02 : Ross Draper - 34pts 03 : David Raven - 32pts 04 : Owain Fon Williams - 29pts 05 : Kevin McNaughton - 27pts 06 : Alex Fisher - 26pts (23 of these in April/May) 07= : Gary Warren - 21pts 07= : Greg Tansey - 21pts 09= : Larnell Cole - 19pts 09= : Brad MCkay - 19pts

  6. ... or the season before. It is really important that local lads can come through the system and succeed. I certainly think Liam has the potential to succeed but he is a little bit away from the level of consistency which would make him into a decent premier division player. IMHO his issue is one of attitude - and I don't mean it in a bad way. I don't agree with those who say he is lazy at times, in fact, at times he maybe tries too hard. It may sound odd, but my take is that he tends to see the game from a fan's perspective rather than a player's. For instance, he has a tendency push the ball too far ahead of him and he gets it nicked away from him. When he does that, we fans tend to make some gesture of exasperation. We do it instantly as a natural reaction without thinking. But Liam does it too. You can see him cursing himself . He maybe looks to the skies before his shoulders slump as he thinks about getting the ball back. The player's mindset bypasses any visible frustration and focusses on instantly trying to retrieve the situation. There are occasions where he loses the ball and by the time he regroups and gives chases, his opponent is long gone. There are also times when he hasn't got the ball that he seems to be watching the game rather than constantly thinking about where he needs to be. As a result he may not be in a good position to receive the ball from a team mate or he fails to pick up the movement of an opposition player. It's not laziness, it's just a loss of focus.
  7. Very harsh. Doran didn't asked to get injured and was injured (two different injuries) while playing for us. JH did not play him in as many games as he should have and RF used him very sparingly. If he fails to come back from this injury then we can look at cutting him free but a fit Doran is a huge asset to the team, more than can be said of some of the guys we have signed recently.
  8. Iain Vigurs is undoubtedly one if not the most talented players at the club, who would sooner pass the ball 30 meters than run 30 meters that is his strengths. Last season the individual criticism on here was pretty horrific when collectively the team performance was utter sh*te , many used to take great delight in picking to pieces his performance and focusing on his errors. Not all players need to charge around for 90 minutes closing down space to prove their worth, get him on the ball and he will create chances.
  9. Gawd - It is the feckin degree of talent wearing the feckin shirt, badge etc., etc. that feckin counts. Looking forward to a Bannerman Smileymometer, journalistic report on the Extraordinary meeting of great minds.
  10. That may well be one idea that could actually work.
  11. Yes attendance figures are pretty crucial from a financial perspectives. This season may actually attract slightly increased away followings to the Dump as I suspect that many teams will be looking forward to a day out in Sneck. And I also suspect that our away support may be maintained as there are plenty old and new venues to visit. Again, from my perspective the "drop" may get rid of the annoying who whinge at the least fault.
  12. I have no issue with disagreement or differences of opinion, but to label my own opinion and experience as "nonsense" is not very respectfully stated.
  13. Caman I am quite sure you are not trying to be cheeky but did you notice that the thread had already "gone off topic" before Auld Pimple woke up and seized on one of his last desperate attempts for recognition before fading away for good. The old fella is losing his memory and fully expects to lose his marbles sooner rather than later now. Some people already think he has lost everything and it will happen to you too many years from now. Remember, life is short, shorty.... It's just that one thing leads to another and so...it-t-t-t-t-t-t-t's.... back on topic and I have avidly read your comments on Mr. Vigurs. I remember him from his time at Ross County when I felt strongly that he was an aggressive, quite dynamic player who went at it full pelt in most games. I think that as his career has motored on he has dropped a wee bit of his drive and the vigor of Vigurs is not quite what it was. i.e. He's like the 79 year auld Pimple--he's reached a platform and needs a leg-up now and then. Aye!
  14. They should recommission Cath's van and fit it oot with all the club regalia, and then drive all over toon, selling the stuff, along with rolls, butteries, and the like, and the vendor would have a pencil behind his ear, glued on like.
  15. Dont think we have ugly sister shops anymore in Inverness tbf
  16. Rather too many enigma threads in my view.
  17. It could seen as a positive that he is still with us and hasn't jumped ship now we are playing at a lower level?
  18. He's probably the best we have at spreading the ball around and finding a pass. He's got great vision. I think he'd do best as a deep lying playmaker with a defensive minded grafter and a box to box dynamic player alongside. One to do the dirty work and one to carry the ball. Just think, in time we could be calling him the Pirlo of the North. But if that's to happen Vigurs needs others to be his legs and help create space. Just as the Italian maestro had Ambrosini, Gattuso and Seedorf at Milan and Vidal, Marchisio and Pogba at Juve. Ok so maybe I'm slightly exaggerating but humour the idea rather than a literal comparison.
