Which seem to be Recruitment has been poor with many substandard players - he should have known that some like Ridgers, Cooper, Calder, Chalmers, Baird have had chances at this level and higher before and failed miserably Tactically he seems incapable of working his best formation to get the best out of his squad/team Cant motivate the team or get them united - seems to have alienated some of the established members like Raven, OFW which probably has helped loose the dressing room as the players clearly don't 'play' for him Questions over his training methods and player fitness with many not being able to last a full 90mins - and its not down to us playing high intensity football either Public criticism and handling of players - telling OFW to leave and that he wasn't part of the plans, then drop Ridgers after 10 games calling him not good enough to only U-turn on OFW. Its a mess how the man management & public interaction has been We are almost quarter of the season gone - some of these should be resolved by now, but we seem to be getting worse. Those with alternative views are entitled to have them, but the facts are that one the blinkers are taken off and the historic ICT love fest for Robbo removed, he has so far been as dross as some of his signings.

It would probably be best to use a Gaelic name - Air a stiùireadh le grunn luchd-call iomlan Stadium.

May as well just be whores like every other club and call it based on whoever pays the most - at first when Arsenal or Man City called their grounds the Emirates or Ethiad they had an ok ring to it, but once you start with the Tony Macaroni or the Superseat and the like - it becomes a bit of a joke and clubs start to look silly IMO. But its part of the modern game so we best embrace it before we get left behind. Main options obviously is Wethers Original ...........

I never knew that! "Hills of dung are hardly unknown in football, at least in the metaphorical sense, but Aberdeen fans have a powerful affection for theirs. The name of the club's home at Pittodrie derives, evidently, from a Gaelic term for 'a place of manure'. When the newly established club took possession of the site in 1891, they found exactly that; it had been used to stable police horses. There was also a rubbish dump while the wider area was known as Gallows Marsh." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/2369117/Pittodrie-built-on-rotting-foundations.html And I've just discovered that "Ibrox" means "badgers' den"...
  10. I think Celtic did the same with signing Rafael Sheidt who turned out to be just the same as his surnname
  11. You might be thinking of Ali Dia who Souness signed at Southampton because Dia told him he was the cousin of George Weah

Seriously, in our current financial situation, whichever commercial organisation, vile payday loan sharks apart, offers to pay the most.

  14. There is no short fix for this, due to the lack of money, do what Ferguson did at Man Utd set up a scouting group especially in the central belt where most promising youngsters will come from, put them in digs and pay them more than they get at their current clubs, outside the OF and perhaps Aberdeen the young lads get paid buttons. There needs to be a conveyor of youngsters coming up to the club because that is the future for ICT we don't have the money to attract even premier reserve players nor do many want to come to this part of Scotland. The hook has to be if they are good enough they will go into the 1st team to showcase their skills and get a move to a premiership club it's the only sustainable long term path unless a sugar daddy buys the club. Football and footballers have become too expensive even for the moderately rich.
  15. I wonder if he has visited any of the Macgregors business in the Longman to see if they would support their local football club
  16. Well said Christib . In all walks of life when you try to do good there is always the element who will try to bring you down . Like you say Shorty may have been better to have got the facts right before he / she started spouting off . I too was a " bucket shaker " on Sat although I didn't have to shake it as I was overwhelmed by the generosity of our fans and it certainly wasn't all small change . Thank you all so very much as The Travel Club work hard behind the the scenes voluntarily to make sure fans get to as many away games as is possible . Shorty needs to realise these buses come at a cost and we don't get help towards cost and every penny is a prisoner .
  17. Robbo himself said about the youth team "if you're good enough, you're old enough"...we really should be seriously considering some of the youth players playing in the 1st team...some of the 1st team seem too comfortable in the knowledge that their place is safe, no matter how bad they play.
  18. Agree with Renegade. I thought Calder, along with Mulraney, looked uninterested for the most part. I know these guys don't get long to impress but Robertson is hardly being given much reason to start them when they turn in half arsed efforts.
  19. I saw Elbouzedi driving into the car park yesterday. The most thrilling moment of the day.
  20. It's not just Zschusschen. Seedorf and Elbouzadi seem to have vanished too. I don't believe any of them are injured. I think the reason they are not on the team sheets is that Robbo can't spell their names.
  21. Impossible to choose anyone after OFW. The whole bunch of them were atrocious.
  22. Think we're going to play the boys against Peterhead. Ordinarily, that would constitute playing a weakened team, but on this occasion I think it's the opposite! If some of U17s get a run out, they have deserved it and the "first" team should have it made clear that their places are on the line. Any decent performances should be rewarded with replacing the duds without a second thought.
