Liam is a superb guy. Inverness born and should deserve lots more accolades than he gets.

Can’t say I’ve ever found myself thinking that Oakley is too good for this league and should be playing at a higher level.

We are skint! Also appears we have no real ambition anymore. Gutted

I've not been to many games this season but from what I saw last season I didn't think Oakley was that good a striker. He certainly wasn't the sort of striker who would fire you to the title in this league. He was also out of contract at the end of the season and if we thought he wasn't going to re-sign and isn't a starter then cashing in, even if it'll be pennies in the scheme of things, could be the right thing to do. He was a good contributor though and it leaves us with two senior strikers, one of whom is really injury prone. I'm cynical about the youth players - every post-match interview it seems we've got coaching staff talking about how good our youth players are but we never play any of them and have now signed a Hearts youth player who has gone straight into the first team.

A loss but also an opportunity for our two young home grown strikers to make more of an impression. Disappointing but not a disaster.

Maybe all those moaning about it could just record it on the Friday night, then sit down at 3pm Sat to watch it and to make them feel better send the £22 that they haven't spent to the club as they are worried that it will suffer. The clubs have all agreed to this including ICT - lets not forget that.
  7. Left leg you say...where did you see it last?

We might pass him on the way up. Hamilton are crap and this could well be the season they come down.

It's a pain in the arse for some because of the fact it has changed and plans may be already in place. Personally I quite like the Friday night games under the floodlights. Not being a school night means I can take my daughter too and it frees up the weekend to spend with my family. However it's not so good if like for the Partick game the teams are far apart but for County it works well imo.

Dutd are supposed to have got Sow and with their other recruitment will make them significantly stronger now coupled with the strength of County I wouldn't be surprised if the ICT board are already cutting costs to plan for next year still in the championship.
  11. Did anyone notice who the Seer left out of the Smileymometer ?
  12. Hope he is staying we can't afford to loose any more tonight!
  13. It would appear that putting two and two together does not make five but makes four ?
  14. Looks like it was a lucky 4!

It's okay, we can put the pennies in the jar with the tv money.

Well this is depressing news. Ambition - not...
  18. What a disgrace. 2 senior strikers left at the club. I really hope the club have a replacement lined up but I really do doubt it.
  19. Absolutely diabolical decision unless we have a quality replacement lined up. Which we clearly haven't.
  20. Not happy with that TBH.

The great Jock Stein once said “Football is nothing without fans” I fully understand you endorse the franchised model when it comes to football clubs but he was right without fans the game will die Dougal

I don't have a problem with Friday games either really just prefer it if they are played at a more normal time and the fans know well in advance so they can make arrangements to get to games.

We have some amount of moaners in our diminishing fan base ?

You wonder how Football clubs survived back in the day when the only game shown live was the Scottish cup final. League games should be 3pm on a Saturday with the odd night game thrown in not the other way around. Our attendances are getting alarmingly worrying as it is wihout playing on a ludicrous night at a stupid kick off time. Id personally like to ban the BBC from the stadium, the likes of BT Sport are ok but then they have a genuine interest in the Scottish game whereas the BBC has neglected it for decades Dougal

An inconvenience but more exposure and more money for the Championship in general and ICT in particular is Probably, on balance, to be welcomed.
  26. Good report from IHE although a bit late was it due to Scotrail or Smirinoff
  27. I don't think we can underestimate just how big a win that could be for us, I'm delighted that my prediction was wrong and I apologise for not having faith. Speaking to Caleyjag a while ago, I said that if someone can go on a decent run they'll either pull away or be right in the mix and I really hope that we can be that team that pushes on and the signs are there, take the frustrating draws away really we are in a good position. Really hoping that those around us keep taking points from each other as well.
  28. Bad error from McCart but he's been pretty solid for us this season regardless of where he was been asked to play in defence. Would like to see him and Donaldson feature as our regular CB pairing.

Easily the best of our strikers allowed to leave for peanuts no doubt. FFS the squad was small enough already without losing any more players

Well that’s pretty $hit news. Are we now relying on injury prone Austin. Jordan White and two youngsters in McGregor and Mackay

Problem is though its at the expense of loyal fans.

He made a good impression on many of us on Saturday - ready and up-for-it. Same for the loanee from Hearts - looked a good prospect. Onwards and upwards for the Caley Thistle. I was a “Caley” for many many years but now a true “Caley Thistle”.

How many more will Brian Rice poach from ICT? Such a turncoat - whoever heard of him before he came to ICT.
