  1. Gardiner/Morrison will be hoping that takes the heat of them for a bit. We can't let it. The club is rotten to the core and whilst Dodds needed to go, so do the aforementioned.

  4. Thats really unfair, we won the Inverness cup so unlike any other club in the league we already have silverware.

  5. I’m surprised we’ve taken this step but see it as a positive. We all know it had to happen, but who made the call? Morrison? Gardiner? Time may tell but I hope this is a sign that the Board (or maybe even the CEO) have noticed the views of fans and taken a decision they maybe didn’t want to make but they realise they had to to stop the decline of the club. Goodness knows what deal Dodds was on. Hopefully it was performance related so the pay off is not damaging to us. Robbo and Charlie need to steady the ship, starting on Saturday, but it sounds like neither is in the frame for the job. I believe we have a squad that can compete at the right end of the table. I hope they now have the chance to show their real capability. I wonder if Doran will now get a start? Recent starting line ups looked to me that they were either “hope for the best” or drawn out of a hat. I never like seeing anyone lose their jobs but this decision had to be made. I just hope it means onward and upwards for us as we’ve 31 games to right the wrongs.

  6. It’s got that bad his interview is not even been listened to now by fans it’s excuses after excuses just utter dribble after dribble .

  7. We were unquestionably the better side yesterday but we seem completely unable to convert the chances we create and always look likely to throw one in. Dodds says after our latest capitulation that he wants to give the fans something to celebrate. The surest way to achieve this noble objective is by him tendering his resignation today.

  8. Agreed : awful to watch a once great club being run by people who seem not to care and worse have zero accountability.

  9. Gardiner has poisoned our club. If we didn’t have him as CEO we’d never have had Dodds. I’d take Ian McCall or Neil McCann if there was any chance.

  13. What a fantastic decision to award him a 2 year contract! Who was responsible for that and how much has it cost the club? One more head, at least, needs to roll!

  18. Whoever had the final disastrous decision to award the tactically naive talentless excuse of a coach a two year deal, needs to be first out the door. It smacks of giving him protection against the sack. In one of the Wyness Shuffle podcasts, Gardiner was asked about how close we were to changing the manager when we were on that eleven game winless run, and he said something along the lines of very close, so, any CEO worth their salt wouldn't have handed out a two year deal, when they know that he has that in his locker, it should have been at least a rolling contract, or in a perfect world, Dodds would have left after the Scottish Cup final, with nothing, that would have been in the best interest of the club, which the CEO is supposed to be responsible for, instead of putting them in such a perilous position. Is another defeat today against Raith acceptable to the club now? Or are they waiting till we hit eleven games without a win till they act?

  19. Scot Gardiner is so bad for our club it’s unreal . This guy has a streak in him that likes to cause controversy and trouble . I wonder what sort of wage he is robbing the club for . Certainly never heard a good word said about him . Bad bad news of a guy and like u say if he wasn’t our ceo we more than likely would not be in this mess we find ourself in . This guy needs shown the door and take his controversy with him .

  20. 2 out of the required 4 or 5 now gone. I had a lot of respect for Robbo until recently, but given he would seem to rather be anywhere but where ICT are playing on a Saturday, in the midst of this crisis, then he has to go too, as does the CEO. I have not heard anyone say anything positive about him in the whole time he has been here and the one prospect I personally set up for him needed only a single phone call to discuss a possible link beneficial to ICT but according to the other party that phone call never came. As for SK who has survived multiple managerial changes, and our chairman RM, I will leave those closer to the sharp end to make that determination as I really don't know the daily machinations from this side of the pond. I know from talking to the chairman in the past that he was a supporter long before he was the chairman so if its a Kenny Cameron type of "loyalty error" then I could see him stay on but anything else and unfortunately he may have to fall on his sword as well.

  26. If the strikers are finding it difficult to score, surely that is down to the way the strikers are coached? If only we had an ex international striker as our coach to show them how it's done!!!!!

  27. I agree. My post was not intended as any kind of defence of the situation. If anything it further highlights how far out of his depth Dodds is.

  29. Yeah, All very well, but the records say we got beat (again) and we didn't score and we are still bottom of the league. Dodds can f**k right off.

  35. The next managerial appointment is so important for the club and it will show the club's ambition or lack of it. Hopefully whoever it is gives our youth a chance and gets the confidence, belief and enjoyment back into the squad.

  36. Correct decision. Results excluding the Scottish Cup over the last 10 months just weren't good enough and there was an inevitably about this. Its a shame to see anyone lose their jobs like this but it had to be done for the good of the club. The problem is that do any of us trust those in charge to get the next manager decision correct?

  39. The strikers know how to finish, the defenders know not to dither on the ball or pass to the opposition, the keeper knows not to come for a cross he has no chance of reaching. There’s only so much can be done by coaching of experienced players when it comes to the basic skills!

  40. Surely no one needs to coach Billy McKay the clubs leading goal scorer?!

  41. I’m sure some of you have seen this on P&B. Fair play to him it made me laugh t’s finally happened! We are the best! We are the best! We have beaten Inverness! It is completely unbelievable! We have beaten Inverness! Inverness, birthplace of Nessie! Billy Dodds, Ross Tokely, SuperCaleyGoBalisitic errr Nebula, Kessock Bridge, Big Tesco — we have beaten them all. We have beaten them all. P&B can you hear me?...Those boys took a hell of a beating! Those boys took a hell of a beating!"

  42. Thats so easily solved so that does not need to be used as an excuse . Get rid of our useless non speaking scot Gardiner and also the elusive John Robertson . That money would more then likely pay of Dodds contract and also go towards a coach that actually knows how to coach . .

  43. 10 games into the season and we have won 1 game against bonnyrigg. totally unaceptable. Ross Morrison, Gardiner, Dodds and co all have to go before they completely run our club into the ground.
    1 point
  44. They all need to go . Scot Gardiner has done nothing for the club but give it bad exposure and actually cost the club money with his failed concert fiasco etc and there’s probably more we are not hearing of so has failed our club miserably and financially . Dodds should definitely go now and this muppet should follow him out the door .

  45. Best we played all season to be fair but as per usual we can't score and we keep letting in cheap goals at crucial moments in the game cause we have a leaky defence. Just a recipe for disaster..... we could've literally been 2-0 up by HT but our quality in the final third is so poor... for a coach who used be a striker his players aren't the best at finishing.

  46. I was watching Final Score, and the longer the game went on, I thought yes, I'll take a point, but no, it's another defeat. The time is surely ticking for Dodds, Gardiner, Robertson, Wilson and Kellacher, if not, then it is league one and part time football.

  49. I don’t believe BD is the root problem here, merely a symptom and part of a deeper problem in the declining fall of the club as a whole. Sure BD has been found out to be a poor to average ex-player manager that was/is unable to get (imo) average players to compete above their abilities. His shortcomings in any structured patterns of play just compounded the problems. The results, (facts) speak for themselves. Simply BD was available, local and cheap, so the fitted the ‘Powers’ specification! DB reign is already slipping away, it’s just a matter of time now! The problem in getting a manager that can get better results that doesn’t bury the club deeper in debt, (love for someone to prove that wouldn’t be an issue). A better game plan will reduce the goals lost and improve the chance of wining (not hard right now I know). It’s not too late to still make a fist of it and maybe get into the playoffs, however I believe that’s a stretch too far. Being ‘safe’ from relegation this season would be a success for me! Anyway, back to my main point. As long as the club maintain the same strategy then we will end up with a short term fix. I don’t think I’m the only person that believe the club has to look at what is realistic with the expectation of the fan base and income from merchandise and ‘other’ sources. Ventures so far (concerts) have done more damage than good with local businesses and put the club on the back foot! Throw in an incomprehensible communications policy just exasperated the aging and reducing core fan base to alienate a good number. Getting them back will be a challenge, but it must be done. Others have already said it on the forum, and I have to concur, I can’t see the board in its current structure being able to have the backing of a good bulk of the support to have faith in them to make a success of things. It may take the courage of other board members with imagination and new contacts for funds-investment to step forward and propose a different route from the current path. Certainly a reset of fan relations would be a simple and welcome gesture. This would require the CEO and possibly the chairman and the SLO to change roles, but they may recognise the clock is now ticking on their tenures and a managed change may suit everyone! The fans have to also come to terms with where ICT are and what is achievable in the current and next 5 years. Everything about ICT right now says Championship. Progression will be slow and based on youth players coming through better than the past (how I don’t know), and a steady and imaginative way to increase our fan base. Really putting this up as ration assessment where I am rather than just ‘let’s get rid of the manager’. Results are everything in football so just hope any change is thought through long term. bc

  50. Given the shareholding of the Trust, can they demand / request a seat on the Board? That would get a fan’s representative involved in the key discussions and decisions and, subject to the usual confidentiality constraints, able to give fans updates and (hopefully) reassurances. The Trust nominee on the Board can also hold the club’s staff, including the CEO and SLO, to account. It would also raise the profile of the Trust and perhaps allay some of the concerns voiced by BC and others
