  1. Get rid of the CEO. That'll save a wage AND bring a few fans back.

  2. Interesting thought. A tighter defensive line would then allow a few more risks to be taken up front. Either that or big Dunc is hoping that 15 goalless draws will be enough to ensure survival.

  3. I asked for a “ proper “ right back further up this page. Got one now. thank goodness we have a CEO with links to Dundee FC.

  4. When I come home after a game and tell my wife what a shite game it was - again, she is at a loss to understand why I still go. But after over 40 years, I think it is healthy still to have a bit of mystery in a marriage.

  5. Off topic slightly I know but surely thus is the time fir all ICT fans to start turning up and supporting the team thereby generating some more cash for the manager. Fully appreciate that the recent home games have not been the most exciting but , to me at least, it just seems like giving some fans another reason not to attend (not that some need one). If we get relegated, don't think we will, then that could be the end of full-time football for some time, so it's up to the fans to get behind the manager and team Moan all you want at the board but at least turn up to help the team.

  6. I’m just trying to imagine the conversation that took place. ”Right Duncan, we’ve identified these targets, who we believe each meet your requirement for a good defender. Which one do you want?” ”ALL OF THEM!”

  9. Two sides to every story, - If your favourite restaurant started serving crap food would you still go? - If your preferred clothing brand suddenly dipped in quality would you still buy from them? - If your favourite band brought out an inferior album than previous efforts would you listen to it much? Football is another 'experience' product, and when your club no longer have any consideration for you as a customer and serve up poor quality product you are entitled to give it a miss.

  11. I'd say that's us just about covered now as far as defensive options are concerned .... Here's hoping for a creative midfield genius and a well-established consistently prolific goalscorer in the next few days!

  13. …and Airdrie have managed to sneak into the top 4 by scoring only 19 goals, 4 fewer than Arbroath and us. And 4 of those 19 were against us. In Dunc we trust and all that, but it’s as plain as the scowl on Wee Deek Adams’s face that if we could score goals we wouldn’t be where we are.

  14. In isolation these signings seem to be fine but when you look at the squad you have to question what's going on on. We now have far too many defenders (10) so I can only assume that there will be a couple more out the door.

  19. I know this isn't aimed at me because most on here aren't that type of people but I am going to say my piece regarding that ;), I work weekends in a job I love so I don't find it easy to get down to matches from Thurso plus I'm not comfortable going down myself, I know Inverness is a safe City compared to others but I just prefer to go with a group of people so I feel safer. But I will say this, one of my career goals is to work in an outdoor nursery and luckily there is one or two in the Inverness area (Tornagrain and Elgin) that I have given considerable and serious consideration too so one day I may get down to more matches but again

  20. I hope so including all the young ones that were in the north stand for the Dundee United game plus more. I would expect Hibs to have 1000 plus so all we need to do is put on a bit of style and win the game!

  23. Hibs have a league game on the Wednesday so that will have ruled them out if a Friday game. Only Aberdeen, Motherwell and Rangers have games on the Tuesday so it had to be one of them in the Friday. The disappointment for me is that they’ve preferred Hearts at Airdrie to Hibs at Inverness for the Sunday teatime game. I’d have thought that with our cup pedigree we’d have been picked. That said, I’m much happier with 1500 on a Saturday than 1700 on a Sunday.

  24. I would suggest there would be a lot more public interest in our game than Morton vs Motherwell. Cheap/lazy option based on Friday night logistics.

  25. Our game must’ve been considered by BBC, there’s not much between ours and the 2 games they picked in terms of general public interest and likelihood of a shock. I suspect geography and cost might’ve been the deciding factor. Oh and who’d have thunk it, Viaplay picked the Rangers and Celtic matches!

  26. Televised matches announced by SFA and surprise, surprise we don't feature. At keast it's a 3pm kick-off on the Saturday. A mouth watering fixture awaits us on the Friday night.....said no one ever.

  27. That and our average of 0.15 points per game has almost improved 10 fold to approx 1.5. Continuing at that rate we should get around 22 points from our remaining 15 games which should be more than enough to avoid relegation. But we all hope for continued improvements throughout

  28. My glass is half full, I have faith in Big Dunc and the team to keep us in the league this season regardless of what is happening upstairs.

  29. 7 points separate 9th to 4th. I defeat and we could be bottom but if that's a win we could be 6th. Hardly the doom and gloom times when Dodds left, we were rock bottom and 10 points off the playoffs. 30. Ferguson really needs a playmaker in midfield, Longstaff, Shaw Harper don't hurt opposition and Doran is on the fringes of being past it unfortunately. Our survival really depends I'm afraid on a decent player coming in.

  31. You probably feel that the bottom 5 are the ones who are most likely going to be battling it out to avoid the drop. Airdrie and Morton seem to go on reasonable runs every so often and probably have better players / managers than the rest of us down the wrong end of the table. Obviously Partick, Raith and Dundee United won't be near the relegation spots. I fear we are in real trouble.

  36. Yes, I trimmed it down to those that are left and might get a game if we are struggling for bodies. Realistically, we are down to the bare bones, 15 fit outfield players and two (very good) youngsters in Bray and Thompson who would have been better used instead of wasting money on Sheridan.

  37. Doubt it. Didn't realise we were all CEO fans rather than football fans. The team the results the experience that's what we support. Wouldn't even know Scott's name if we winning. Who was ceo with Pele? With butcher? With Robertson first time round? I don't know but I remember baltacha and foran as managers.
