  2. The whole not marked "fire retardant" argument is quite laughable. Where's the risk of ignition coming from in this day and age when smoking is banned from stadia? How many people own clothing, hats & scarves that are worn to football that are marked "fire retardant"? The next time anyone is challenged on taking a flag into a ground on the basis of it not being marked "fire retardant", start stripping off yer clothes and showing them the labels.....see how far you get before the point sinks in!

  4. I recall Mikey Diamond being refused entry into St Johnstone two seasons ago, because the Steward said his flag wasn't marked fire retardant. Mikey went round to the ticket office, complained (I don't think they understood a word he said) and the outcome was that he was allowed in, with his flag. Hurray for Mikey - wouldn't let any steward stop him and his flag.

  6. I see that Celtic have decided to shut down a section of their own stand, area 111 which is where this Green Brigade upstarts seemingly wont sit. Banned them all and offered to relocate them as they refuse to sit during games. Have to admit dont have much of a clue of what these bad bhoys are about, apart from allergy to poppies, british monarchs, anything blue and protestant. Well done Celtic, at least they are trying to do something, even if they use a false reason for doing it. Ironic that Rangers also need to get rid of their own Green brigade at the same time, you have to laugh

  8. Ha ha! I thought our concession prices were high for a moment! Hopefully get a decent number along to support the lads. No more 3 - 0 head starts this time though.

  9. Dougal is a troll. I wouldn't get worked up by what they post. Post unsolicited rubbish to get a reaction.

  12. Allen and Watkins were both about 2 weeks away from returning the week prior to the start of the season so I would hope they would be returning to training this week at some point. Would imagine some U20 game time would be on the cards. I would go with the same team although might be inclined to go with Williams/Greenhalgh in place of Nick Ross. Eager to see how a more natural winger would get on out wide. By no means did Ross have a bad game on Saturday but I think its an area where we could be more threatening, i.e. beating one man and putting in a dangerous cross. Cant remember too many crosses coming in from Nick where as I remember about 5/6 from Raven and a few from Doran/Shinnie

  13. I would be amazed if he took the Rangers job if offered.tbh. Although Terry himself is media friendly I get the impression he likes his private life kept private and living in the Highlands allows him to do that. That wouldnt neccessarily be the case in the Glasgow gold fish bowl.

  14. If he went to Rangers he would be stepping into a very muddy puddle. And it might finish his career on a very sour note. The place is a hotbed of intrigue and infighting. Shambolic isn't the word for it, it seems. Staying at Caley Thistle is offering him great prospects for more success, stability and a growing reputation for success. At Rangers the whole thing could go into reverse....?

  16. What have the club done more this close season than recent years then? The club with its performances and final league position last season alone should have increased season ticket sales, think its a bit off for some to blame the club for not doing enough It's worrying that County will have more season ticket holders than us for the second year running but i very much doubt that it would effect Terry or the players on the park Maybe a recruiting drive by Caleyjagsforever is a more apt suggestion Dougal Please show the evidence to back this up. Also last year, Uncle Roy bought season tickets and then re sold them. This way initial figures looked like there were a large amount of tickets sold. No guarantee that the one he bought were then bought again. This also happened with the hospitality. Our sales are our sales. They are what they are and I am certain they are where they were last year. Our averages are the same as well. For those that go, the footie is better than ever so just enjoy it and stop fecking moaning.

  18. Stuart McCall - he has links to Sheff Utd, like Green in the past and I wouldnt be surprised if thats the guy Green would go after, but he has to remove Sally first. Laughable that a team with the 2nd highest wage bill in Scotland was making excuses before the Forfar game that they had to make do with the 3rd division side and couldnt field any of their new signings - the investment and money into Murray Park over the years you would expect their U21 team to be good enough to beat some part time players (no offence to Forfar intended). The club, the people, the fans are a farce and with every story makes Scottish football more of a laughing stock.

  19. 1. Raigmore 2. Balloch (Inverness) 3. Around 1992/93 I think when I went with HislopsOffsideAgain to a couple of Highland matches involving Caledonian or Thistle. 4. Aberdeen ICT will always have a problem retaining a core precentage of its fanbase given that the Highland region has a high level of out migration in the 16 - 29 year age group. A lot of our fans fall into this age group but are likely to leave the area to head off to further education or to secure jobs. Whilst there are people coming into the area they are quite likely to already support a team so going along to an ICT game will not likely appeal to them.

  20. I do agree, but by playing devils advocate regarding the games - Celtic - SPFL champs & odds on favouites for this years title, Dons, M'well - both billed as being major contenders for 2nd place, Thistle - the new team up, Hearts - the big club in major financial troubles (how will they cope) - then there is us playing Midden, a top 6 side facing what is likely a bottom 6 side. Not agreeing with the scheduling or the level of coverage - but when you look at it objectivly in light of the above, the other games probably had more interest to the majority to see how certain teams have progressed or developed. We will always be biased as fans, but give it time over the course of the season we will have more games towards the top end billing moving forwards - starting with next wk at utd.

  21. Maybe penalty was a bit soft but makes a change for it to be in our favour.....How many times did their players throw themselves to the ground to get free kicks ....Great result for us just took a little time to get into game ,and we are top for at least one week , looking forward to Dundee United more of the same please ...

  22. The continuing apathy of the Inverness footballing public is both surprising and disappointing but I really don't think it is the fault of the media. There will not be a soul in Inverness who doesn't know that we boast a top flight football team. Almost all will have an idea from the media that we have been relatively successful of late yet still they can't be bothered to come along in any numbers.

  23. For once I need to back Dougal, and the bookies. Brora, Cove, Formartine and Nairn will be streets ahead of the rest this season. Buckie, Forres, Devornvale, Keith and the Broch will be ahead of the rest. Suprise of the highland league may be Strathspey Thistle, not that they might challenge for top half, but they could be well away from the Fort, Rothes and Lossie this season

  24. I am guessing the announcer's choice of Rihanna's "diamonds" a little prior to kickoff may not have been coincidental........

    • Inverness CT 2-3 (3-5) Hamilton - Play off final (relegation)
RELEGATED: Despite Inverness needing to get off the mark quickly, it was Accies that killed the tie inside the first fifteen minutes with strikes from Kevin O'Hara and Lewis Smith. Cammy Kerr reduced the leeway with a good strike from distance, but O'Hara struck again with a penalty before the break to diffuse the revival. We struggled to create anything of note and this reporter could not stomach any more and left the stadium. I'm told Alex Samuel pulled a goal back in stoppage time, but like the rest of the season it was too little too late.

    • Hamilton 2-1 Inverness CT - Play off final 1st Leg
A better showing from Inverness in the second half, especially with Lawal and Pepple on the park but it's Hamilton that take a one goal advantage up the A9 on Saturday. Lawal has been the standout performer in our last few games and surely he must start on Saturday. Pepple also did well, scored the goal, had an effort saved and got in a few balls across the box from tight positions.

Still, a shocker of a first half and we must be up for it from the start on Saturday.

    • Inverness CT (1-2) Hamilton - Play off Final 2nd Leg - Preview
The hurt, the pain, the reluctance and pig-headedness to listen to the fans asking what is going on, the lack of communication, the lack of ambition, the stench of mismanagement, the concert company, the battery farm, the demise since winning the Scottish Cup in 2015, the lack of passion, the lack of commitment, the dwindling fanbase, the lack of leadership. It has left the fans comfortably numb

    • Hamilton -V- Inverness CT - Play off Final 1st Leg - Preview
However all is not well and we just kept our heads above water thanks to Arbroath being rubbish. Onto the play offs and an insipid performance at Links Park left us all wondering if our time has come to drop into oblivion. Our performance certainly would not look out of place in the lower leagues. We clung on for a 0-0 draw away from home and scraped a 1-0 win at Inverness with Billy Mckay saving our blushes. Everything about the club has negative undertones at the moment.

    • Inverness CT 1-0 Montrose Play-Off Second Leg (0-0)
Little Consolation: Inverness will face Hamilton Accies in the Play-Off final after nervously scraping past part-time Montrose who were eventually reduced to ten men when Blair Lyons was sent off after an off the ball incident in the 84th minute involving Morgan Boyes. Inverness had dominated throughout, but failed to capitalise on their possession, and as per the entire season failed to create much of note. The first half was livlier than the first leg, but the same problems showed up our lack of quality. We started with no wingers and Billy Mckay as usual in a withdrawn role. It's not worked all season, so why should it suddenly work now. A woeful first half ended goalless and it was on the hour and out of the blue when Billy Mckay prodded in from three yards to score the only goal of the game following a corner
