  1. A wee stat: Iain Vigurs equalising goal was the 100th goal between the clubs, all-time. (now 102 goals) Leading scorer is wee Billy with 6. Adam Rooney 'closing-in' with 5. (2 for Inverness; 3 for Aberdeen) I had a Hard-Drive failure last week, losing 2 months of data - so am 're-building', as-and-when. Another harsh, painful lesson though... Anyway, the 'North Derby' stats are now updated - here's the full list of 102 goals form anybody interested! Some 'blasts-from-the-past' here! 2. That's a bit of a pathetic reply is it not? And why would you assume that?

  3. The article doesnt state why if there were a group of others partaking what the actions of this individual were to draw attention? He may have been animated in a fashion that accompanied the vocals - whether he did it or not and whether he was a single person chanting or part of a larger group thats not for me or others on here to judge. He went to court and his defence was deemed not robust enough to have charges dropped - those are the facts based on the media report. Hopefully this sends out a clear message to all ICT fans as this kind of chanting is not welcome, we should be a open club where all races, colours and religions can come along and enjoy football without comment or persecution - everyone knows this is wrong throughout not just football but society as a whole. Too much chanting based on culture or beliefs still exists in Scotland, its good to see a hardline stance taken - lets hope that other sherriffs see this and impose similar constraints on those who appear infront of them regardless of connection to ICT or other clubs - I'm fed up of some of the chants we hear at games (not usually from ICT fans I will add)

  4. not sure about a slur on the club .... but certainly a tough one for the individual concerned. Courier article is available without the silly P&J firewall here: http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/News/UK-wide-ban-for-ICT-fans-racist-insult-17022016.htm Having witnessed stewards trying to stitch up a friend of mine at extremely close quarters by stating he said one thing when he in fact said something else and then not having the bottle to admit they may have heard what they wanted to hear rather than what was actually said then I personally take what any steward says with grains of salt large enough to de-ice the A9 for a couple of seasons. Unless he was doing it multiple times (not clear from the article in the Courier) and somehow they managed to isolate him and only him as the culprit rather than 20 or 30 others, and could hear clearly what was being said all the way down at the front without the sound drifting off as it tends to do at the TCS, then I can only assume he was getting nailed due to previous indiscretions and that smacks of retribution not justice. Having said that - it does clearly show that whatever actions you take part in whilst at a football ground - chanting, smoke bombs, flares etc .... DO or can have major ramifications .....

  5. Excellent Sneckboy. You should offer to sell information like this to match day commentators. It would give them something interesting to talk about in quiet moments, rather than how brilliant our opponents are!

  6. ok folks - we are getting a bit personal here so yellow card treatment for this topic. lets stick to the debate/discussion and pull back a little from the personal point scoring stuff.

  8. I wasn't at this game so can't comment on the facts of this. I would not at all be surprised at stewards picking out an individual rather than trying to pick people out of a group and also being less than truthful when recounting what has happened. I've seen it happen at football countless times.

  9. It was the league match the previous September that Ma-Kalambay saved the Niculae penalty. Russell Duncan handled in the box right at the start and Hibs scored the resulting penalty. Brewster was brought down just before half-time for our penalty which was saved.

  11. I think a polite 'this is your first and last warning' from the stewards would have been a more sensible course of action rather than hauling the guy out, wasting a fortune in police and court time, and creating an unnecessary spectacle for both the individual and the club.

  12. You may have access to more info than most on here CaleyD, so perhaps you know different and the facts are indeed more clear cut than the article would have us believe ... but for me, there are far too many imponderables to assume guilt regardless of the rendered verdict. 'Not Proven' might have been appropriate in this case. Where the sheriff has formed his opinion seems to be based on his belief about the credibility of the stewards, as mentioned in the article. Thats a lot of faith in a group of people (rather than individuals) who have been found wanting numerous times in the past !

  13. On the contrary, I would say that anyone else partaking was lucky as opposed to this person being unlucky. The attitude that one person should not be pulled up when others are also involved is very bizarre....in fact, it's the very thing that many here complain about time and again when it involves other clubs.

  15. Thoroughly enjoyed Monday night's game and as usual this season the atmosphere was immense. How things have changed in that North Stand from just a couple of seasons ago where match after match at home there was literally nothing for the entire game. Really can make a difference so thumbs up for all the effort put in by the majority of those involved in section E. My old man met me at the game and paid cash, showed me his seat number was row C in section E...I suggested he might give it 5 minutes and find an empty seat in section B or C , he was nearly greeting the last time he had to stand for the whole game. I was a bit surprised to hear Barry Wilson on the radio after the game saying that was our best performance of the season. I thought we were good but only once we had been given a shot in the arm by means of a Greg Tansey penalty and their opener look like no effort at all, they then started pressing and it looked like we could be in for a long night. These things happen and our equaliser sparked us into complete dominance after which Aberdeen did absolutely nothing to deserve anything from the game. There were controversial moments but at the end of the day we were the better team and did much more to win the game than some bitter sheep might suggest we did. Top marks to Tremarco, Draper, Warren, Storey, Roberts, Tansey and enjoyed Mutombo's appearance off the bench. Horner was ok but I thought quite poor when he gets into a drive forward....he gets there fine but then spills the ball pitifully quite often but maybe he could do with a similar run in the team which has shown such an improvement in Tremarco this season as it could well be down to confidence. Massive 3 points.

  16. The one good thing is that we are nearer the top of this pile than the bottom, and with there being so many teams involved they can't all win every week. Having said that, we simply have to start doing better against the teams below us if we don't wish to get dragged back.

  17. Absolutely do not agree Richard Gordon called into question Ross Drapers integrity on national radio. Total abuse of his position in my book. Absolutely awful coverage before and after the game listening to old man man Miller droning on about how superior 'The Dons' are in their title challenge.

  18. LOL! Don't go there! Next week, I'd ordinarily be hoping Dumbarton beat Dundee, as I like to see the 'underdog' coming through, plus it would be another Premiership club eliminated and out-of-our-way! BUT, on this occasion, I want Dundee to win, as I genuinely think they could go to Ibrox and give Rangers real problems...certainly more so than Dumbarton. Rangers v Dundee has a lot more appeal than Rangers v Dumbarton. I wonder if the TV companies will wait for the outcome before 'committing themselves'? The quarter-finals games aren't far-off (just 17 days away), so hopefully we'll hear something soon - fans have to make plans!

  19. Diddy "Diddums." Poor lad, come here to old Scarlet and get a wee hug. You seem to have a bad case of the dementia tremens -that will hurt when you wake up from the torpor and pain. There you go, feeling a wee bittie better already I can see. But you do appear to have some staying power and we might be able to make a good ICT fan of you yet if you just stiffen your resolve and come back again before we win the Scottish cup this year. The way things are going after a very hairy start to the season augurs well for the grand finale. Wanna come along to Hampden for a classy day out? Anyway, hasten back , But now it's time for the sack and a wee restful night. And tomorrow you can wake up refreshed and over yer terrible fright. Cheers the noo to you and say no to more "boo-hoo."

  20. The casual scene didn't die , it's still very much alive in Scotland. Anyone remember the days pre merger when ICI could muster 100+ lads for a big game ? That would never be the case these days .

  21. Just spent a happy hour or so watching much of the game again. Obviously it was great watching it live on TV last night, but seeing it again now it comes over much more clearly what a good, solid performance this was. Everyone played their part. I was initially disappointed that Raven wasn't playing, but couldn't fault Horner. There was some pre match talk about the Aberdeen wingers giving our full backs the runaround. But this didn't happen with Tremarco too having a good game, and a great goal too. (Credit to Collum for overruling the linesman's shocking decision). We absolutely bossed the midfield, and the running of Storey and Roberts up front gave Aberdeen all sorts of problems. We were solid at the back too, although the I had my heart in my mouth a couple of times with the short passing between defenders. But this seems to be our trademark style of play now, and who am I to argue with Hughes's tactics? He certainly got them right last night. Good substitution of Roberts with Mutumbo, who looked good in his 10 minutes. The other two subs were possibly a bit late, but overall a really first class team performance. Best I've seen in the few games I have managed to see this season. So we can go into the Celtic game with absolutely no fear, and with every expectation of a positive result. Onwards and upwards.

  22. I believe what it tells us is that, despite those pundits and journalists who love to knock our domestic game, the Premiership is a highly competitive and entertaining league faring well despite being undervalued by SKY and the BBC and continuing to have no representation from Govan.

  23. Willie Collum gave Aberdeen a late penalty at Pittodrie when the ball was subsequently shown to hit Devine on the chest. Presumably the Aberdeen players appealed too easily!!! And, we certainly remember Considine's push on Foran with 5 minutes to go in the League Cup Final. We still have a big relegation fight on our hands but that result helped us temporarily. Certainly dented Aberdeen's European Cup dreams for the while. Of all the nights to have roadworks on the A96 just east of Tesco, last night was not the best unless you lived locally.

  25. Evening folks, and HOWDEN ENDER :) First of all, totally deserved win, absolutely zero complaints about where the points deserved to go. Said before the game I wasn't looking forward to it and proved right. Big Yogi certainly has McInnes under his thumb, he seems to know how to set up against us. After we scored ICT literally bossed the game, literally. Was really impressed with the mix of short, sharp passing and the execution of the inch perfect long balls. Add to that the constant pressing and we simply did not have an answer. Can talk about the ref all we want, but the bottom line is, we were as bad as him. There is no way whatsoever that the penalty was actually a penalty, but that isn't why we lost the game, even if he correctly didn't give it, only one team was going to win tonight. If only ICT played with that conviction every other week, I have no doubt you would be up there with us. I hope it clicks consistently because I genuinely enjoy watching you play, a very tidy team. HOWDEN ENDER, you're either fishing and winding me up or you're actually an immature wee boy, cause I'd love for you to show me, of all my posts, in where I have been bitter? I have never been on here to offend anyone, and I don't think I have, I think I've been fairly honest and consistent with my posts. If you're fishing then kudos, if not, then I worry for you :) Anyway, good win and hopefully gives you the confidence to push on and up the table now. Take that level of performance in to the next game and do us a favour, please ;)

  26. A tough ask but if we played with that drive and intensity every game between now and the season we would challenge Hearts for third place and have every chance of retaining our cup.

  29. Afternoon all, not at all looking forward to this game tonight, wouldn't matter if it was at Pittodrie or not, because we always seem to struggle against ICT. I know the game will be won by 1 goal, if it's won at all, and I know it will be a hard earned 3 points for whoever take them. Obviously I hope we can continue to push Celtic on as long as possible and I hope we can get a positive start and grab an early goal, or 2, as I believe we are capable of holding on, seem to have developed a great determination to see games out under McInnes if we get in front. Big Draper always bullies us, every game I've seen him play against us, he literally bosses it. I do think the game will be won from midfield tonight, so need to hope McLean and young Storie get to grips early on. Be disappointed if McInnes drops Storie from the 11 due to Jack & Flood returning. He's came in and went about his business very well, so hope he gets the nod. Good luck anyway, not too much luck obviously, just good luck. P.S IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER.....I know, I know, you want me to jog on or just in general get to f*ck.

  31. Obviously previous disorder was taken into account regarding his punishment but based on this specific incident he was very unlucky to be singled out. At one point in this game a large group of fans chanted dirty gypsy b's. 20-30 fans or so. Why was he singled out as if the stewards were that close they would have heard multiple people sing it. Seems stewards pick someone they want to get at and go after them. It's normally teenage boys though.

  32. Can't remember ever reading a more clueless forum of fans. We're miles up the table because Hayes and McGinn 80% of the time tear teams apart. Hayes went off early and McGinn is having his usual 3 game lull. Draper should have been off the pitch by the time he rugby tackled Taylor in the box, which I can't fathom some people here think 'happens all the time'. And the big streak of pish's dive (again) killed the game and any half time talk and tactics. Someone has said the difference was you were going to do something from the incident quite possibly but it wasn't a foul in the first place ya halfwit. And that Shinnie's wasn't a penalty too. Draper 'bossed' the game because he got away with it from an incompetent referee. 3 goals and a man sent off worth of wrong decisions is going to kill any team's motivation and prevent them getting into the game. Awaiting your big timmy manager rolling over to his beloved side on Saturday.

  33. Why do I get the feeling that this didn't happen or you are making it sound more dramatic than it was. If it did happen good on them, it's what some of the Aberdeen fans deserve. There was a big group of them 20-30 walking to the game from town, Aberdeen fans that is and they were definitely trying to start something. Was walking a fair bit behind them about 7:30 and they were stopping cars while they sang together crossing the road and throwing a cone and stones a bus stop and just generally being scum. You need to grow a set and realise it was probably the Aberdeen fans who started it, it always is. If you don't like it fine, walk away but don't put the scene into your words and turn it against our own fans. Why would you do that?

    • Inverness CT 2-3 (3-5) Hamilton - Play off final (relegation)
RELEGATED: Despite Inverness needing to get off the mark quickly, it was Accies that killed the tie inside the first fifteen minutes with strikes from Kevin O'Hara and Lewis Smith. Cammy Kerr reduced the leeway with a good strike from distance, but O'Hara struck again with a penalty before the break to diffuse the revival. We struggled to create anything of note and this reporter could not stomach any more and left the stadium. I'm told Alex Samuel pulled a goal back in stoppage time, but like the rest of the season it was too little too late.

    • Hamilton 2-1 Inverness CT - Play off final 1st Leg
A better showing from Inverness in the second half, especially with Lawal and Pepple on the park but it's Hamilton that take a one goal advantage up the A9 on Saturday. Lawal has been the standout performer in our last few games and surely he must start on Saturday. Pepple also did well, scored the goal, had an effort saved and got in a few balls across the box from tight positions.

Still, a shocker of a first half and we must be up for it from the start on Saturday.

    • Inverness CT (1-2) Hamilton - Play off Final 2nd Leg - Preview
The hurt, the pain, the reluctance and pig-headedness to listen to the fans asking what is going on, the lack of communication, the lack of ambition, the stench of mismanagement, the concert company, the battery farm, the demise since winning the Scottish Cup in 2015, the lack of passion, the lack of commitment, the dwindling fanbase, the lack of leadership. It has left the fans comfortably numb

    • Hamilton -V- Inverness CT - Play off Final 1st Leg - Preview
However all is not well and we just kept our heads above water thanks to Arbroath being rubbish. Onto the play offs and an insipid performance at Links Park left us all wondering if our time has come to drop into oblivion. Our performance certainly would not look out of place in the lower leagues. We clung on for a 0-0 draw away from home and scraped a 1-0 win at Inverness with Billy Mckay saving our blushes. Everything about the club has negative undertones at the moment.

    • Inverness CT 1-0 Montrose Play-Off Second Leg (0-0)
Little Consolation: Inverness will face Hamilton Accies in the Play-Off final after nervously scraping past part-time Montrose who were eventually reduced to ten men when Blair Lyons was sent off after an off the ball incident in the 84th minute involving Morgan Boyes. Inverness had dominated throughout, but failed to capitalise on their possession, and as per the entire season failed to create much of note. The first half was livlier than the first leg, but the same problems showed up our lack of quality. We started with no wingers and Billy Mckay as usual in a withdrawn role. It's not worked all season, so why should it suddenly work now. A woeful first half ended goalless and it was on the hour and out of the blue when Billy Mckay prodded in from three yards to score the only goal of the game following a corner
