A couple of papers are carrying the story that Hibs want Butcher as their new boss. Can't see it myself but it has gone quiet on the contract extension front...

Wahey am back after forgettin login details for ages.

gutted butcher has chosen this path but disgusted at his lack of professional decorum the last few days.

as far as am concerned he can get tae fkck

Great to see you back. We have missed your more intellectual contributions

Just a matter of information. There are quite a few posts on this site along the lines of the most recent I saw: "Not sure sitting with the Hibs Chairman yesterday was the best game of hardball, anyway hopefully sorted out on Monday"

Terry was in fact sitting in the main stand amongst neutral observers with his wife Rita, and agent Jim McArthur...

That may be so. He was indeed sitting beside football agent and well known former Hibs goalkeeper Jim McArthur but he was also in the Hibs boardroom wchich some may regard as a rather odd location for a 'neutral' especially one still contracted to the away team.

Supposedly people who were in the Hibs hospitality yesterday have been quoted as saying that Butcher was being introduced to people as the "new Hibs manager".

He isn't.....yet....officially.

There's a lot of wags on here. And there's nothing like a good laugh to make one's day. That's as good a reason to come  back as any

At least the subject appears to have swelled the ranks with new posters

So we have to be thankful for small mercies. :mountie:

To the young man who feels hard done by because IHE gets more press than he does this is a simple mathematical equation really:

IHE has well over 10,000 posts and the newbie has 573. :teacher:  Case closed (hopefully).

No you're not!

Jeez, Sneckguy, ah wuz right, he's actually got over 12,000 near enough. What a guy!

Must sit up all night composing his next incredible  set of pictures. Where do you get all those pictures Itchy? What a collection or what a fantastic search engine you must have in yer brain. Some of them are not only entertaining but a knockout. Showing that you earn your accolades 'cos truly you are a very clever fella. And S. Pimple is very good at sucking up eh....so I am looking forward to another 'Like" IHE for this one.

And as the originator of HMS Sneck he is a fantastic creator of past good memories of both this fantastic site and ICT,s progress.

You had a job for life here at ICT Tel. We have a history of being patient with our managers with no sackings to date. Hibs on the other hand will give you 12 months (max) to re-float their sinking ship. It will be a tough job at Hibs - and probably a thankless one too - but all the best to you!

Did we not give Brewster the boot, quite literally?

Humble pie duly eaten. You are quite right, Craig Brewster was sacked (although he should have gone months before he doomed us to Div 1).

And many a drink.

More drinks than points!

I fully expect TB's new 3 year deal with ICT to be announced first thing tomorrow morning.

By the ever accurate BBC.

Don, you were one of the few who couldn't see him going. Have you resigned yourself to the fact he's going? You were one of the few who gave us hope he wasn't away.

(I can't put that sentence in words without sounding sarcastic, it's a genuine question ha)

It is very amusing not that long ago many on this forum were saying that it should be Arise Sir Terry and all that crap! How things have changed in little over a week. Terry has done a very good job with ICT with a very limited budget, well done for that. What happens tomorrow will not be a surprise now and I hope the board will make good appointments as they have done in the past to replace all who go. Still looking forward to the rest of the season with this great team.

What's also very noticeable about this thread is the absence of Bannerman, why is that I wonder?

Busy writing a book about this saga.

Maybe he's busy teaching?

Nah!

Been otherwise occupied the past day or so what's the jive with our management?-

Renegade/ICTChris - Manager

OCG - Assistant

IHE - Sports Psychologist

Dougal - PR manager

I didn't hear anything of Chick over the weekend ! Has he left the country ?

Is this a wishlist thread?

Steve Marsella appears to be a decent judge, can't we just ask him who should be next manager?

Maurice Malpas can **** off with Butcher.

Terry has been part of a team at ICT - he has contributed to our success, not been the sole reason. His Ego may have elevated him into presenting that view but no man is bigger than the team.

Interesting ploy from ICT regarding Malpas as replacement manager (if true). Should he want to take the role, it could really put the cat amongst Butcher's pigeons! Either TB or Hibs could get cold feet and pull out of the deal and then what? Butcher back up the A9 with his tail between his legs and still contracted to us. Awkward. He is now tainted goods - do we take him back or sack him for dereliction of duty? What a wicked web....

Why does everybody 'suck-up' to IHE?

Anything he posts, regardless of how profound or speculative seems to be met with overwhelming approval.

He could post a picture of a tin of Heinz beans and submit a random caption of 'Butcher's last meal' or some utter drivel and get around a dozen 'likes'!!!

Don't worry about it.  I am reliably informed that IHE will be joining Butcher at Easter Road as analyst and advisor.  Clearly Butcher will benefit from his sage words of wisdom, whilst for IHE it will mean not having to travel so far for home matches whilst Leith offers a night time social life more in keeping with his tastes than Inverness.  It will suit us as well as the number of posts on this forum with the word "narcisist", or variations of it, will be reduced by at least 99%.

Is he not banned from Easter Road?
