May 12, 201016 yr According to bbc sport website the legend that is Richard Hastings has been released by Hamilton. Anyone interested in him making a return to the TCS and challenging Golly?
May 13, 201016 yr i certainly agree we need a new left back but Hastings is 32 and i'd prefer to see us go for a younger player to freshen the squad
May 13, 201016 yr What is he now 32, 33? If we are planning on keeping Golabek then it is a no for me. We need a younger, more capable left back for the SPL.
May 13, 201016 yr if Tel can't find anyone better I'd be more than happy to have him back at the club
May 13, 201016 yr Wouldn't have a problem with Hastings coming back - he was one of our most consistent and under-rated players.
May 13, 201016 yr I wouldn't be surprised if he did come up though, all of his family is still up here, but I say get Shinne in to challenge Gollie, not Hastings.
May 13, 201016 yr Our most successful back line ever: Brown Tokely Dods Munro Hastings I'd take any of Brown, Hastings or Dods back in a flash
May 13, 201016 yr McBain can also play at LB so it's not cover we need. I agree its not cover we need but competition. I think Golly needs someone else to come in and challenge for his place to keep him on his toes. Having McBain as the 2nd choice left back isn't good enough i don't think. Always prefered McBain in midfield.
May 13, 201016 yr We also have Shinnie available at left back now that he's finished a successful loan spell in the Highland League. He looked the most promising out of himself and Nick Ross when they burst onto the scene last year from what I saw...

Better to encourage Shinnie to step into the squad, than bring back Hastings.
May 13, 201016 yr We have Golly, Shinnie, Mcbain and even tokely can all play at left back so i dont think theres any need in bring back hastings Edited May 13, 201016 yr by WYNESS101
May 13, 201016 yr Although Tricky Dicky was a decent player for us - speaking to him in our relegation season I thought his attitude about the future of the club left a lot to be desired. So much so that I was very happy when we got shot of him. So - from me it's a definite NO.
