Scottish Cup

I believe the 4th round draw is at Hampden on Monday. So who do you fancy getting?

I wouldn't mind a wee trip to Buckie or Elgin to get things under way.

  • The odds on Elgin went from 1,000/1 to 1,000,000/1.

  • Struggling? We're sitting 7 points from the top of the league and our recent form has seen us get 8 wins and a draw from our last 11 games. We're not going to win though and a draw is the best we can

County away!

Wouldn't mind going back to Dens again to rub it in. To be honest any away game would be excellento in my eyes.

Away against anybody - shown this season we have nothing to fear!!! Although I'd perfer to avoid, Parkhead, Castle Greyskull. or Tynecastle

The draw us taking place at 1130 from Hampden. Live on sky Sports news.

Can someone post up the draw results? I'm stuck at work with no access to SSN.

Couldnt be happier with that draw. A derby game for us. I would imagine Elgin will take a decent crowd too.

Nothing on BBC yet. Maybe they're on strike again.

Dundee United v Ross County

Queen of the South v Brechin City or Annan Athletic

Montrose v Dunfermline Athletic

Greenock Morton v Airdrie United or Beith

Falkirk v Partick Thistle

Berwick Rangers v Celtic

East Stirlingshire v Buckie Thistle

Rangers v Kilmarnock

Hibernian v Ayr United

Stenhousemuir or Threave Rovers v Stranraer

Hamilton Academical v Alloa Athletic

St Mirren v Peterhead

Inverness Caledonian Thistle v Elgin City

Dundee v Motherwell

Heart of Midlothian v St Johnstone

Ties will be played on 8th and 9th January 2011

From SFA...

Elgin

Well that's a good draw :)

Should get a decent crowd of 500 or so from Elgin I reckon, which = ???s.

On the negative side, Elgin are playing well this season... but we should be professional enough to progress. Chance to see the likes of Barry Wilson, Jamie Duff and Jake Inglis as well come to think of it.

Yeah... a great draw and it will have a real derby feel about it....

Not so sure about Caley Braveheart saying it's nice to get a home tie all the same!

Nah....

mind this...

Great Draw . I think elgin will take nearer the 1000 mark to the game .

Are Elgin the only team we haven't beaten in a competitive fixture?

When ICT were formed I was too young to really know much about the history of Caley and Thistle but obviously knew there was a rivalry there along with Ross County and heard of the Caley - Elgin rivalry as well. However I don't know why was there one in the first place? Was it simply geography or were the two fighting it out at the top of the league each season?

Hoo Hoo! i'll take that. I think the last time i watched a match against Elgin was the last season before we m*rged. Cant remember a competitive game against them since, but i could be wrong

Elgin really hate us. I went along to the Elgin-Hearts game and the song that got everyone going was 'If you hate the farking Caley clap your hands' Ian Black got some abuse from their fans as well. I also recall going to a North Cup game at Forres, where their fans were out in force for a game against our Under 19s, flags, banners everything

I would have preferred a trip through to Borough Briggs, but this should be good. Elgin looked poor against Hearts but have improved since then and actually look to have a decent side at the moment. Ex-County hitman Craig Gunn is their dangerman and they also have the tallest player I've ever seen, can't recall his name. He must've been nearly seven feet tall.

It was the U19's plus Charlie Christie actually! That was a great day!

As for our tall player, that's Paul Millar. He's 6ft8 and officially the tallest player in Britain. He isn't first choice at the moment though and most of his appearances have come from the bench.

Get him on his hands and knees and he IS the bench!

Finally get to meet City on serious business, played them in pre-season a few times.I know the City fans are really up for this, just like old times again

The significance of this draw will be lost on a lot of the post-merger fans but pre-merger Elgin vs. Caley was THE HIghland League rivalry. Forget the modern day County tussles this was the real deal.

Would expect a healthy dose of fairmers to turn out for this game for old times' sake.

Just a pity it's not at BB - now taht would have been an old school day out.

Could do with giving them a right horsing and hope that we don't play a weakened side for this one.
