Ideas to market I.C.T

This has probably been done before but I thought I'd get the ball rolling by coming up with a few ideas to market I.C.T. Some of these ideas may be good, some crap. Please feel free to add more.

Players go into to local secondary schools with the intention of supporters clubs being started within the schools. These supporters clubs, once established, could be given special rates on tickets etc for all members. They could be seated in same part of stadium. Each secondary school supporters club could be given a flag by the club that could be taken to games.

Open day at the stadium before season starts with a meet and greet the players thing going on. This has been done in the past - does it still happen?

Meet with local Amateur Association to forge links. There musty be 500 amateur players in the Sneck. Amateur cup final to be played at the stadium.

No silly own goal statements from club!

We may be in a recession but there have been a lot of people from down south moving up to Inverness, what if when a house was sold the buyer was given a handfull of tickets for a family/couple for example for two or three home games.

If they use the tickets then we have extra people in our stadium who may buy pies/programmes etc. They may enjoy themselves and appreciate the welcome to the area from the club. If they attend matches in the future or buy season tickets then it is a bonus.

Put of a big banner at Castle Stewart golfcourse and the airport

Inverness Caledonian Thistle needs

your support your club

Its worded so you read it more than once

What about the Caley brick idea( I have my name on one already) this could be relaunched and we could all own a wee bit of the stadium. It's not too expensive and lasts a lifetime. We could all see who came to the aid of the club in thier time of need.

It is a pity that we cant rewind time as I could have made a feckin fortune for the club selling bricks to chuck at Hellgin *****e buses parked on the Carse Road.

Since so many seem to favour the idea, we could change our name to "Rangers of the North" :tongueincheek:

good idea but its a shame its on a sunday. there will be a lot of people you will miss out on because of that

I just don't understand Inverness at the moment. The Portland Club has gone bust, the Leejun is struggling and the Caley Club certainly doesn't look as busy as it has done in recent years.

But yet, compared with pubs over town, prices at the Leejun and the Caley Club are absolutely rock bottom - sometimes almost half what you would pay in Inverness's more expensive establishments. Now I do realise that a lot of people are taking the even cheaper option of buying supermarket drink and staying at home to watch inane talent shows on the telly or getting tanked up before abusing each other on Facebook or Twitter.

But maybe it's time folk started getting a life again and began socialising with real people in a pub which seriously undercuts the rest of the market rather than getting tanked up at home.

Maybe if more fans would use the Social Club they might also enhance their own corporate identity as supporters and also, through the Social Club, strengthen their sense of identity with the Football Club.

DVD productions costs, and buying the rights from the SPL to allow us to reproduce them would prohibit such a venture.

If you're standing your hand, Charles, then I'll be there.

But I'm not suggesting that anyone should DVD drinking activities in the Social Club!

Have the club every tried to tackle the tourist market? Maybe leaflets about the SPL club could be displayed at the Tourist Information centre and details of forthcoming matches could also be displayed in pubs and restaurants. B&B's could also be targeted. Not sure of publications costs mind but has ever been attempted?

In notice boards around the town there used to be posters for Ross County games. Could ICT do something along these lines?

I think this is a brilliant idea. It would be a really nice gesture from the club that would create a lot of good will from the people who received the tickets and it wouldn't cost much if anything at all.

A pre or post-season ICTFC v County fans' match at TCS and/or Victoria Park with all revenues going to youth development would be great. More than happy to get involved with organising.

Good idea but we probably wouldn't be able to use the pitch at TCS. A neutral venue such as Grant Street could easily accomodate us though imo.

Really like this idea too. How about a player, in club tracksuit, hand delivering the tickets.

........whilst the rest of the team unload the lorry. Foran would obviously be the one to hand over the tickets, and then return to shouting at his teammates!

Do our current Board of Directors have ideas on how to promote our business? After all, they are responsible for the financial results which ultimately dictate our potential on the park.

As ever some good ideas but nothing from the Board to indicate they are doing somethind. i have said before as have others, most notably IHE, that it appears some members of the board, not all, are just their for the position/prestige and do nothing to justify their place on the board. Effectively they are getting free advice from the fans FFS
