  • The Challenge Cup has a place but its also a failed opportunity for a lower league competition to be done better. Generally clubs within this comp are out of the LC & SC early doors so its great i

  • Really!! just shows what a forgettable competition it is. Seems I set off some righteous indignation.

Clyde did beat Arbroath away so will be quite confident.  Managed by Danny Lennon, they do of course have a former £2m Scottish International leading their attack and now their captain.  However, we have so far not underestimated the opposition in this competition and should therefore just start as favourites to progress.

Clyde are doing well in their division. Not convinced that we should be giving someone who has been judicially determined to be a rapist the oxygen of any publicity at all.

They'll also have John Rankin in the team. Dunno if he'll be performing as well as he used to.

Glad it’s a non Championship side and a home game makes us favourites.

I agree with DD, no room for complacency but hopefully we progress to the semis and then the final.

Momentum is important.

What's the prize money for winning the tournament?

So winning this competition is just purely for bragging rights?

And confidence.   Winning it was pretty much the start of the great end of season run-in in 2018.

The winners get something like £20,000 IIRC.

And if there's not a years supply of caramel wafers in there too its a sad advert for the competition

About as good as it's gonna get in these dark times my man!

On today's display (so far) it's getting darker.

20,000pounds? A miniscule reward? No!

Any sum of money now should be  music to the ears of the bankers of ICT.  Beggars can't be choosers and overdrafts have a tendency to get larger  and larger....unless the interest is paid each month and the deficit is cut even a wee bit. So, if that sum cuts deeply into the accumulated interest then IMHO, that's great news.

And the fame of our team winning again cannot be underestimated , especially to the fans who hitherto have not exactly :cheer01:been coming to the Caley park in droves.:cheer01:
