  1. Great result, and a decent crowd for a cold Tuesday night in Jan. I imagine the directors will see the 'pay what you can' experiment as being successful. Well done to them for showing initiative. But the biggest plaudits are to Yogi and the team. A clear 3rd in the SPFL is no more than we deserve. What a great 2015 it has been so far. Roll on Saturday.
  2. Apart from the first 10 minutes we were well in control. It was 2 going on 6 nil. Only our own defenders worried Deano with back passing and Shinnie's miscue over the bar in 5 minutes. Some nice inter-changing of passes between the half way line and Saints box although over-cooked at times. Good to keep the run going and now only 3 points behind the over-rated Dons.
  3. That is EXCELLENT for a Tuesday nite but has Marley picked up another injury ?
  4. Just got it on line - great pass from Shinnie and clipped in to the bottom right hand corner by wee Billy.
  5. Accies would have got plenty of plaudits if they'd made it £10 for all, so this is a touch of real class. Remember the protest years and years ago at St Johnstone's massive entrance fees when some supporters turned up with their entrance money in small coins? Anyone feeling miffed here can hand over 10 1p coins.
  6. Keep the six inch ruler away from Willie Short, apparently he has issues.
  7. According to Dundee United, the under soil heating has been on since Thursday morning. As way of appeasement, they've announced that the re-arranged game will be a straight £5 admission for all - but again, that's of little consolation at the moment! At least they are trying to make amends.....Fair play to them!
  8. Worth a bump in my view....we had a mini collapse of form in December, but Yogi has now won 4 in a row, apparently we haven't done that since 2011, according to the BBC....can that be true? Anyway well done Yogi
  9. Attendance at home to the same opposition on a nice Saturday afternoon in September was 2,770. With 3,161 at the TCS tonight I'd consider Pay What You Want a success, must be at least 500 additional fans through the gate.
  10. 3161 - WELL feckin done to all those who put in an effort - that must be at least 1000 +
  11. Tough shitt - soft bestards
  12. Brill Meekings Warren Devine Tremarco Draper Shinnie Doran Watkins Ross Mckay
  13. Sounds too good to be true, is there a catch? 10p to get in, £50 to get out?
  14. And there, in a nutshell, is why people have deserted Scottish football. Jammed into ridiculously small pails with the only jumping being done by hi-viz no-marks on their weekly outing to planet Powertrip. Don't miss it if I'm honest. #bringbackterracing. (I have no idea what putting a hashtag in front of a nice wee slogan does but it must be something like a Santa wish-list.)

Yogi is becoming a cult hero lol and is right on so many levels. But i have to disagree that 'summer football is the way forward'. Instead of looking to England as some sort of 'mecca of football' we should be looking to Germany because they have got it right on so many levels. In Germany the christmas/boxing day fixtures are the played then there is a break for 4/5 weeks and then they are back into it on last week of Jan. Thats something which should be explored before we make a drastic change like summer football imo
  16. Match report now published, complete with video footage............. http://caleythistleonline.com/page/index.html/_/reports-2014-15/dundee-utd-v-inverness-ct-spfl-r1230
  17. Well, summer football might just bring short-lived torrential thunderstorms, occasional lightning, brighter conditions, no playing under expensive lights and bigger energy bills, probably no postponements , refs not getting chapped lips from blowing their whistle repeatedly, better visibility, no players' broken legs or ice related injuries, no need for scarves or overcoats and no need for old guys over 70 to wear long johns and, and... Let's have a vote --it's a no brainer. Look, this is Scotland and winter has always been the traditional time of year for football and if it aint broke why fix it.? And while we are examining the matter we should not consider such unnecessary things as goal-line videos, warmer and more relaxed spectators, a better match-day experience, less risk of old Johnnie and his older wife falling down and breaking their brittle legs on their first visit to Tulloch Stadium and, and...

The English copied the premier league idea from us.

The part about the english doing what is best for their game, and us not doing so, I feel is very true. Instead of looking at how to benefit the game in Scotland I always feel that the blazers just copy whatever the english do - just look at the names of our divisions. It's a stupid notion on too many levels. Go on Yogi!
  20. ‘Another tactical masterclass from Big Yogi and the Team. This has to be some of the most intelligent football ever played by Caley Thistle.’ Caley D ‘Great game to watch, great players, great performance against a good team’ 12th Man ‘First time we've ever been top of the league as late as November’ Yngwie ‘The first time in just over 3 years that we've won a league game after conceding the first goal. The curse is broken!’ Yngwie ‘Thats the best performance i have seen in a long long time’ Forza Caley Patience and persistence has it rewards! Well done Yogi!
