The Calder fella just signed apparently. Seems he is a defensive midfielder, while its a position we probably do need strengthening i just hope it doesn't mean Draper is away. Id argue Draper could be the difference between going up straight away or not, he's a Rolls Royce of a player who, in my opinion, doesn't get the plaudits he deserves. He was every bit as good as Shinnie, Watkins and Tansey in our cup winning season.9 points

Watching the first half at Brora the doubts in my mind were synonymous with what I felt last year at the same match. even in the warm up the lack of cohesion and ambition was obvious, however It did pick up when Rice went across to them and got them organised . notables in the first half were Raven, Draper Baird Mulrraney ( though his play was sussed out and made to obvious at first) Oakley showed some promise but ran offside too often. Ridgers I am afraid filled me with dread with his mishandling of crosses in front of goal, flapping personified I would call it , positioning and drilling were much better .Esson however will have to find a solution to his handling of crosses, Ridgers is a tall lad and should be able to do an awful lot better in removing danger. Second half for the team was a different story organisation and cohesion came into play and we suddenly looked a very much better side, confidence grew as the goals went in and we started to look hungry. All in all comparing last year and this I am more confident of getting something out of this season, whereas last season I could not see any promise. Draper must be kept unless he himself is not happy being with us ' He is going to be the goalmaker and came close on two occasions to scoring #himself, I wont pick out notables from the second half because there was a different aura about the side and each contributed. That is, whatever it is worth, my summary of the way we played at Brora and the possibilities I could see for us this season.4 points

I'm pretty sure Robbo would have a better eye for a player than Richie! A lot more experience and probably a lot better contacts.4 points

Some of the signings sound decent enough but its really far too early to say if they're any good or if the manager has done a good job in the transfer market. Boden came with a decent scoring record in league 2 remember. It is good to see some younger players being signed with a blend of experience at this level so at this stage I am fairly content with the activity. Draper needs to be retained, I agree that he could be the main catalyst(by playing him in his best position) to us gaining promotion.3 points

But wouldn't it be better if we could stop going on about the poor guy's uncle!2 points

One thing the fans on this forum seem United on the the need to retain Ross Draper. Let's hope that the board are paying attention.2 points

The rapid increase of signings that appear from first glance to be more useful and dynamic players than signings made by both Yogi and Foran is starting to fill me with optimism for the season ahead. Perhaps Robbo coming back is a stroke of genius? Only time will tell but I'm starting to get really excited!2 points

Although beating a part time team from the Highland League is a whole lot better than being humiliated by a bunch of similarly resourced part timers from Luxembourg!2 points

If he got a game he'd probably still be the best player on the pitch by some distance.1 point

That's my hope too...like RiG said,i was happy enough with RF's signings last year but feel confident as we seem to be strengthening the positions right through the team1 point

Clarence Seedorf is his uncle. I see both STV and the P&J are saying Riccardo Calder has signed up but nothing official yet from the club.1 point

Impressive gobbing technique, gets far more power and volume than most players at Championship level can muster. Great to see it in slo-mo.1 point

These friendlies really mean nothing other than a means for the players to get fit. I wouldn't get too excited about beating Brora 4-1...1 point

Are we talking about the same guy who knocked an extra 10% off of the season ticket prices, extend the early bird closure dates, included the first cup match for free and offered a monthly draw for boardroom hospitality. There's been a lot of changes and the club probably needs a bit of time to sort itself out.1 point

Get a feckin room and get back on topic. As fer Livingston I have been in the Paraffin Lamp before when Mrs and Miss IHE have had Retail Therapy. Good Old Fashioned boozer, just above Asda, Sky Sports, good ale and bookies on either side. Probably 10 minutes from the ground.1 point

There are just so many rumours flying about just now. I heard another one this morning, but because it's no more than a rumour and a well tried one at that, I'm not going to propagate it. Rumours tend to be like new manager predictions - 90%+ of them are wrong.-1 points

Aaron Doran - Club Legend
tm4tj posted an article in News 2024-25,
Shameful: Thanks to Shane Sutherland, the generosity of friends, fans, former colleagues and opponents, Aaron has now had his operation. However it has emerged that he had posted on Instagram regarding his sad dismissal and treatment from the Board of Inverness CT who have treated Aaron in a similar way to which they have been treating the fans. Let's not forget that Aaron was due to have a testimonial for his service to the club.-

Administration pending unless...
tm4tj posted an article in News 2023-24,
Administration pending, unless... How can we go from SupercaleygoballisticCelticareatrocious in the year 2000, to Scottish Cup Winners in 2015, playing in Europe and just 9 years after lifting the Cup; Administration. Mismanagement and our demise was hastened by the appointment of Scot Gardiner. Ever since then, ludicrous decision making has seen our stock plummet whilst 'shady' dealings were investigated. The failed Concert Company, the Battery Storage, the Statkraft contract have all ended badly leaving the club facing insolvency.
That's another fine mess you've got us into.-

New Chairman Wanted, Apply Within
tm4tj posted an article in News 2023-24,
Chairman Ross Morrison resigns
Nothing official from the club as we speak, but the Inverness Courier are running with a story that Ross Morrison has resigned at 18:00 tonight 3rd June. More to come as this story develops, but most fans are looking for more heads to roll.
Speaking exclusively to The Inverness Courier, Mr Morrison said he is leaving now because of the aftermath of the Fife move. “I believe it [the move to Fife] is the best way forward and I have to stick with my beliefs,” Mr Morrison said. “This is the reason I'm stepping down now.”
Reflecting on his time with the Caley Thistle, Mr Morrison said: “My six-year tenure with the club has had some great and some not so great times but through everything I was immensely proud to be the chairman of the club and clubs I’ve supported for 50 years - I was a Jaggie by the way.
“I would ask the fans to rally round the club at this time and show their support by not only purchasing their season tickets but also getting involved directly with the club to see how they can help.
“Hearing fans saying they would prefer administration to training the first team in Kelty sent a shiver down my spine. Administration is a desperate thing to happen to a club and must, at all cost, not happen to ICTFC.”-
