  1. I think some folk are being rather unduly negative. Sure, we weren't at our best but let's give a bit of credit to Falkirk who are a much better side now than the team that beat us here earlier in the season to end our unbeaten run. They strengthened considerably in January and have lost only once in 2019 - a 2-1 loss away to league leaders County. In that game they may have conceded 2 goals but they restricted County to just 4 attempts on goal over the 90 minutes. Today was also the first time Falkirk have failed to score in 2019, a fact for which our defence deserve a bit of credit.
  2. Thought it was a defensive line up to begin with. Therefore it was a cagey first half with no real rhythm. Petra was causing tremarco problems on their right and Brad had lots of space on our right but his touch, cross was woeful. Second half I felt we had more control but no much creativity, Polly and Doran were the only two who looked capable of unlocking something. That was Jordans poorest game for a wee while. Walsh came on to give us more natural width with stretched the game a bit and therefore entertaining. It's disappointing to not get the 3 points but I thought the lads all put a shift in. I think Robbo was a bit too defensive which cost us the 3 points. Not raging about it though. Interesting results throughout the league. Has County's bottle smashed, imagine the fear they would have if we managed to make it 3 league defeats in a row. Shame their is no real challenger to them.
  3. Lets face it everybody has a bad day at the office. We have enjoyed three wins on the trot and one point will suffice. No need to inspire the team for Tuesday. At the moment I would take another point but three may put us in a bit of a very unexpected comfort zone. It is nice to see football talk albeit criticism. Easy to see the individuals who would rather spend their time having a pop at the Board or other posters. I have to confess that, as a Christian on the sabbath, I find it difficult to understand but it will not stop me from saying a prayer for the inflicted at my place of worship later today.
  4. Terrible advert for the Beautiful Game today. Highlight for me was when the sun briefly came out just before half time other than that nothing. MoM for me was Charlie Trafford covered every blade of grass and went looking for the ball at every opportunity.

  6. Apparently Yvonne Crook turned up unexpectedly and stopped Dougal from commentating.
  7. Hi Danylo, Thanks for your reply, always interesting to find out why people take a shine to a club from far away. Your reasons are sound, and I hope you get to see the view from the stadium yourself one day. I was in Kiev a few years ago, and had a good time, met some great people. I really wanted to go to a game but didn't have the time unfortunately. Maybe next time. As for your questions, we did sell Christie to Celtic, so we got some money for him. Shinnie i think was at the end of his contract. Rooney I can't remember. But you are right - we are a relatively small club, with modest attendances, compared to big city clubs from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. We have a very good track record of developing players, bringing in those who need an opportunity, as well as giving young players a chance. We have built some great squads over the years with that approach, and are doing so again. The downside is of course that the best will get offers which we cannot possibly match, as well as wanting to play for bigger clubs. So you have to accept that, enjoy them while they are here, and hope that we can reinvest the money in good players. Yes, in theory we have the whole Highlands to draw on for our support, but I think you will find most of the Highlands is quite empty! But you are right - there is a constant battle to get new investors, or sources of income, if we can. The best hope is promotion to the SPL which will great increase our income. It is a constant battle keeping financially afloat, for a club like ours. I hope you get to watch the semi final in Ukraine.
  8. White was no worse than most of the side. Playing with no support up front is a hard task

Indeed, a hard few games but isn’t that when we tend to play well? Despite yesterday’s slightly lacklustre performance I’m looking forward to it.
  10. Aye, we were poor but Falkirk set out to stifle and did so. 6 months ago we would have lost that type of game. Bring on the gadgies I say. The brown stuff just got slightly more real ??
  11. Amongst a team that looked like they had been out on the pish the night before I thought our big Jessie up front looked like he had the most to drink. I can't help myself?? No. It just had to be said. ? 'Rediculous'...you could get some work with comic relief for that level of pun. Keep 'em coming.

I pop in here every day to see what gobbledegook the Canadian moosehead is proferring. It is also amusing to see how many threads quickly divert from one topic to another. As for the run in I suspect that it would be preferable to have more away games than home ones. 4th place is evidently the "goal". Morton and the Doonhamers are still in the race although the Pars look like the biggest danger but their form as fallen away recently. So at least a point on Tuesday would be a great start. It is also a massive week for Tinkerville and their season could have fallen apart by late Friday night. After that we are AWAY to Hair, Morton and Alloa - HOME to the Arabs and the Pars. That is a pretty hard run in although other teams playing each other will evidently help. It could go down to the wire as they say. Our Hampden journey may well not be of assistance but who gives a feck about that. Cellic and Europe could await us. As far as I am concerned I would again have to state that we are in a better position than I would ever have expected at the beginning of the season.
  13. The chair, secretary and myself as vice-chair of the Supporters Trust had a meeting on Friday with the Graham Rae and Gordon Fyfe. It was the first time that representatives of the new Supporters Trust Board had formally met with the Chairman and we had a very useful meeting. There was no specific agenda but we spent the time chatting around a variety of issues and developing an understanding of how the Trust and supporters generally can link in and help with the work of the club. They certainly seem keen to have our active input. The Chairman felt that meetings every 4 to 6 weeks seemed appropriate and for these to have specific outcomes identified so that it becomes a channel for getting things done and not just a talking shop. That is a very welcome response from our perspective. On a wider supporter basis, Gordon Fyfe will be trying to arrange a second "SLO" meeting with fans to which anybody would be welcome to come along and discuss any issues of concern. Hopefully that will happen before the end of the season. The Trust has a been doing a bit of work behind the scenes on a few issues. This includes working on providing better match day facilities for our disabled supporters, developing a survey for fans to feedback about the matchday experience and organising an end of season party at the ground as part of the 25th anniversary celebrations. More detail on these will follow soon.
  14. Thought Tremarco was quite poor yesterday and agree with the comments on Brad and Doran / Polly. Whereas most of our players humped the ball forward it was only when it fell to Polworth or Doran that we tried to get the ball on the deck where we are a much better team. Unless Walsh wasn't 100% fit I think the decision to play McHattie in midfield was a poor one as surely Walsh on the flank and Chamlers back in the middle was a better fix to cover for the loss of Welsh than essentially play two players out of position.
  15. You cant help yourself and why dont you change your stupid user name Its rediculous
  16. Lots of wee kids in the north stand today - must have been some tickets out to schools. Quite nice to see them running around , a bit of singing going on too. A welcome addition to the fan base, for a day at least. Filled some of the spaces in the stand anyway, and I think they had a better day out than us older ones!

Am I right in thinking those that had tickets for the County game on the 15th are ok to still use the same ticket for Tuesday? Asking for a friend that's been given some
  18. Falkirk did their homework. We never got going. They came for a point and got it by looks of it? Big week ahead. Lets pick ourselves up and move on. Lastly special mention to the totally inept ref Hope we dont have him again for a long while.
  19. A very poor game but, with the Pars losing last night, we are actually a point closer to securing a play off place. Much more effort, skill and commitment needed on Tuesday.
  20. Absolutely brutal... That was fan abuse. Last 10 minutes when Austin and Walsh were on we looked a wee bit more dangerous, But poor finishing and lack of composure let us down. Maybe we're keeping fresh for Tuesday?

Read it and you'll ee its a good statement ,and the fact it's done jointly with County draws a line that is clear. Damage done to either stadium from either set of fans affects both clubs and will be dealt with accordingly. Some tubes in the support can't comprehend this...they aren't needed at the games.
  22. ...with half time and full time pundit CaleyTennis?
  23. 1 point
May be a moot point but a fans forum is usually read by fans who already go to the games...need alternative means of reaching out to those elusive fans.

Disgraceful lack of videos on this thread so there's some of the mentioned goals...

Greg Tansey v Hearts in that unforgettable semi-final.
  26. I did Maybe I find the name offensive rather than stupid so for saying stupid I apologise. I do find it offensive tho as a Christian however.
  27. Sorry im lost Surely I can criticise the name if I think its rediculous Its a free country surely We havent left Europe yet you know so Im protected by european law lol
  28. It was a terrible performance by all the team today End of story However maybe Robbo learnt a lesson in his over the top criticism of his team from the last game in which I thought they had played so well for 80 mins. He should have reserved that for today which was just probably the worst game I have seen us play all season. Moral of the story dont overly criticise when we play well and win but leave it it until we are totally rubbish like today. How on earth we even had the audacity to have a motm today is incredible as that performance was shambolic. Om the plus point we didnt lose and Im am sure we will perform so much better on Tuesday. I predict a two one win against County.
