  1. I don’t agree that folk are finding something else to do on Saturdays. Over the past two days I have unexpectedly met several friends/fans all of whom are just waiting to get back to seeing ICT, saying their Saturdays are not the same at all. Me neither. In the meantime I am glad to see the games streamed on my iPad - despite all the complaints I am just so pleased to be able to see ICT. Happy clapper I suppose but I miss the North Stand and all the awaydays with the Travel Club - as usual not appreciated until it’s gone.
  2. I reckon Andy did a top job. Well researched. Great running commentary. Most coverage have a couple of pundits with facts and someone else doing commentary - he did it all on his own! Not just that but the atmosphere is flat as a pancake and he put some energy into it. You could always volunteer if you think you could do better ...

3 hours old and already in the strip Northstandfan super proud of you and my new grandson. Future Northstander sorry if it’s not appropriate for this part of the forum but just had to do it.
  4. Today marks the 4th year in a row we've failed to progress past the group stages under Robbo. Only one ICT manager has gotten us out of the League Cup Group Stage - the legendary Richie Foran! 16/17 W3 D1 L0 Pts 10 (0 bonus points) Qualified 17/18 W2 D1 L1 Pts 8 (1 bonus point) Knocked Out 18/19 W3 D0 L1 Pts 9 (0 bonus points) Knocked Out 19/20 W2 D1 L1 Pts 7 (0 bonus points) Knocked Out 20/21 W1 D2 L1 Pts 6 (1 bonus point) Knocked Out

The season ticket holders have already paid up front and I imagine a large majority will be living in a tier 1 area. If only 300 are allowed into the stadium for each match, then each ST holder will only get to about 1 in 3 or 4 games I guess and in a shortened season, that is not very many. I would hope that when restrictions change so that those ST holders who are now in tier 2 or 3 areas are able to attend, they will then get priority. I can't see non ST holders getting in until significantly more than 300 are allowed in the ground. It just wouldn't be fair on ST holders.

There's always people going to criticise no matter who it is, many have their own agenda. To me the commentator is not as important as being able to see a decent stream and it was certainly watchable. The commentator was the same guy that did the first game. Thought he did ok as he's learning how to do it. I doubt it's as easy as people think it is to babble on for ninety minutes without repeating yourself. He maybe over articulated at times but that will come with game time. It was probably as difficult for him as it was for us to pick out certain players. I suppose a sidekick to bounce off and spot the players would help. As i said, not overly fussed by the commentator, or any commentator for that matter, but I'm not going to be criticising him for giving it his best.
  7. Much better coverage and the commentator did well, given he was on his own in an empty stadium. We cannot expect Sky Sports level commentary. As he was watching the feed, that could explain why he struggled at the Ayr game, as he’d have been watching the linesman’s head too at times! I agree with tm4j’s summing up in his report. We edged the first half but struggled to break East Fife down as they got everyone behind the ball. MacKay saved us from going in behind at the break. I felt our goal came slightly against the run of play but a well taken header by Sutherland from an accurate corner by Harper. It’s worth noting it was a cross from debutant Nicholson that led to the corner. We then struggled to create chances, but Storey missed a sitter when clean through. Possibly lack of fitness and sharpness was a factor. East Fife then hemmed us in a bit, and Deas gave away the penalty in stoppage time, which MacKay got down well to save. It was a “nothing game” which showed at times, but hopefully we got no more injuries with some players getting valuable game time. Again it was a very young team. MacKay was the man of the match for me for his saves. Nicholson did well on his first start. Harper continues to develop. Devine had a steady game, as did Deas until his error for the penalty. Allardice was quieter than in recent games, but carrying a knock according to Robbo’s pre-match interview. MacGregor had a decent game. Doran and Kennedy had a fair bit of the ball, but struggled to create much, but Kennedy has great potential and will have quieter games at his age. We didn’t see much from Todorov, whilst Sutherland was playing wide quite a bit but took his goal well. We got the job done, but not a shadow of Tuesday’s performance. To close, well done again to the club for sorting the stream out, and to the commentator who did well.
  8. Fair play to those as the club who sorted the ppv service out today. The camera is operated by someone and it didn’t miss a beat. The commentary chap had some interesting facts about the players. Looking forward to the next one now!

A much better streaming experience today. It seemed pretty clear from the previous efforts that the Pixelot ball tracking technology wasn't up to the job and so it is positive that Pixelot seem to accept the need for moving the cameras with human input. It looks as though a decent solution has been found but I don't know why they have the cameras in the Main Stand. Fortunately, the sun wasn't shining today. The Club and TV companies have their cameras facing the Main Stand for a very good reason! As for the commentary, I rather enjoyed Andy's enthusiasm - and bias! It's a difficult job because there is a short delay on the streaming so Andy had to commentate on the streaming feed and not from looking out of the window. This makes it far more challenging for a number of reasons. East Fife didn't help by having the squad numbers in black against a black framed pattern on the back of their shirts. I agree with the comments that it would be helpful for him to have somebody with him to help identify the players and perhaps pick up on one or two other things as well. Hopefully the various stakeholders can build on this significant improvement, as with no sign of paying customers being allowed into the ground for a while, the club needs to maximise the number of PPV viewers to get some level of income trickling in.

I see the commentator got some stick on social media. In fairness I've no idea how good or bad he may have been as I turned it off so I could hear folk chatting in the Zoom call however if the person is struggling then maybe getting a second body alongside him would help out. Bring in some extra knowledge about ICT (and their opposition) and give the guy a bit of a confidence boost and the two could play off each other. The Raith duo the other night weren't perfect but they worked well together.
  12. overall a decent product today. Camera work much better than previous efforts according to those that paid for it .. lesson learned should be to have an operator for future games. Commentary a little flat in places as I said earlier BUT he was doing his best and had obviously done some research and had lots of factoids written down. I enjoyed the commentary, especially as it became obvious he is an ICT fan and got excited when we were doing well. As I said earlier I think it’s difficult to do and especially on your own. A partner to help out, to get a bit of banter going, and to share the load would improve things a lot. Well done to all involved. It was a nothing game but great to be able to watch ICT over this side of the pond this morning.

And yet, his excitement and disbelief at us saving a penalty, in a meaningless match against a lower league side, was many times greater than the commentator describing Marshall’s shoot-out save to put Scotland through to the Euros!
  14. Never before - a hysterical commentator when ICT’s goalie saves a penalty- great listening

Well, that was my first watch of ICT streaming. Not too bad at all. Commentary a bit pedestrian at times, but it must be difficult generating much enthusiasm in a game that really was no more than a friendly.
  16. Thanks for the award winning commentary a breath of fresh air !
  17. Well, lucky to get away with that. We do like making it difficult for ourselves.
  18. It shocked the ref so much he fell on his backside.
  19. All things considered I think he's doing a decent job - not an easy thing to do, I know I couldn't do anywhere near as good. Ta very much to whoever has been responsible for sorting out the camera
  20. So far the camera has been much, MUCH better than the first two outings...

Was watching on a laptop, and it did have a casting option. It seemed to be on the stream itself rather than an option of my browser, which is Vivaldi, so may be worth looking at. If it is a browser thing then should be available on any Chromium based browser, Vivaldi is available for OS10.10 and newer if you want to try that. Start the stream on the iMac, cast it to the TV, which would work as long as they are on the same network, and go through to watch.
  26. Well done Harry Nicolson! A really decent performance on his debut. Good performances too from Cammy Mackay and Cameron Harper. It's really good to see these youngsters being given a chance and doing so well. It wasn't the greatest of games but East Fife played very well and kept a really solid shape at the back. They caused us a few problems at the other end too. Another well taken goal by Sutherland who may be a really important player for us this season.

Ok my thoughts Camera work was so much better. No seasickness. Maybe lacking replays etc but such an improvement on previous efforts. Commentary - Firstly he did a bit of homework this time unlike the first outing. However, he has to realise its not radio and gaps allowed. Doesnt need to be constant chat and facts. I agree with other posters that a co-comentator would be a good idea. Maybe I do have an agenda here but I do really think using one of our own such as Nareys toepoker/hislopoffsideagain, who commentated last season and knows the club well, would have been so much better. Why take someone in from outside who appears to have no experience of doing stuff like this and is obviously someone new to club? Thats my opinion and Im sticking with it.
  28. Here's our own report, pretty much in agreement with Robert.
  29. You could see the number on his shorts before he turned round.
  30. Cammy in the same breath as Marshall.....priceless
  31. Good game, enjoyed that and getting away with the win was a bonus. Did the laddie commentating say at the end his name was Bannerman? Charles' son perhaps? Decent job so thank you 👍
  32. Bet you didn't know it was Harper's 18th last week...
  33. The trick for working out who the opposing players are is to watch footage of/read up on previous games (so you know what likely position each player will be in), to check photos online beforehand and to watch the warmup and identify players with distinctive haircuts/boots.
  34. Much better going forward, less lumping it up the park. Just need some composure to convert some neat approach play into chances.
  35. Just said on commentary that it is manual control today.
  36. It is being worked by a person this week. Much improved and commentator doing well too. Even game so far.
  37. They've got an operator today
  38. Someone working it today apparently. Not automatic.
