My interpretation, rightly or wrongly, of our contract position is that we are looking to get promoted next season and, if that does not work, we have the fall back of going part time. All bar 3 of our committed players for next season are only under contract for next season. I support Billy seeking a two year deal. This is his last chance for footballing security, and we should meet his demands, particularly as pay doesn’t seem to be an issue. To potentially lose our top asset to a promotion rival will be serious mismanagement by our leaders. I hope it is just rumour and speculation, but we need to get it sorted and fast!6 points

Having been involved in the committee of the Supporters Club 20 years ago, and probably involved to this day in something other than just the website if I still lived in Inverness, I can say that if enough people came forward to want to be involved, then the supporters club/trust (or whatever name it went under) would typically relish the idea of having actual elections. The reality is you get a handful of people, mostly the same people, stepping up to get involved in these ventures. These are typically folk that do have the interests of supporters at the heart of things and are dedicated ICT fans so also try to do what's in the interests of the club. Over the course of a few years they do get questioned about motives and in some cases cant win - being regarded a certain way by both club and supporters alike. I understand when some of these folks get jaded as you can only bang your head against a brick wall for so long, but they keep doing it because no-one else is coming forward. Would be great to see some representation from all parts of the ground and all age groups. I too have been lax in throwing my fiver in, but perhaps I should.6 points

Well I suppose that I know some of the representatives and I am in no doubt that they have the club fully at heart and are not toeing the party line. I suspect that they are as frustrated as many of us are that the feedback from above is not as prompt, clear and informative as wished for. That places the "blame" on the higher echelons. As you will note the club also denegrates the Trust due to its lack of numbers and deems it not to be truly representative of the support. Put your fiver per annum into the pot and lets start firing questions at them. And WHEN you have joined then stick what you want feedback about on this thread and lets see what the true fans really want to know about or pass comment on - negative or positive.6 points

I’ve been waiting for my annual letter from ICT asking me to renew sponsorship. For many years I’ve sponsored players, started with goalies gloves, then players boots (sometimes two players in one season) as these were all I could afford as an OAP. ICT website (mostly out of date) states that sponsors will get invitation to attend player sponsor events, photo opportunity with sponsored player at end of season and gloves/boots sponsors receive a Club gift. As ICT have reneged on these arrangements this past season, no photo, no ICT gift, nought, can I assume ICT don’t want sponsorship from fans, only big companies etc and we, the day in day out fans, are considered not worth bothering about and likewise not worth contacting to explain.5 points

I really can't believe that ICT would let, not only a proven goalscorer, but a marvelous link player, leave the club due to the length of contract, unless they have some phenomenal stiker waiting in the wings to sign, which I doubt. Surely, with our atrocious injury record, even giving Billy the deal he wants, would make good sense?5 points

Like who exactly? Billy Mckay is our most prolific goal scorer in recent memory and no one has scored more than he did last season than since, erm, Bill Mckay in 2013/14. Jordan White was close in 2017/18 (IIRC) but apart from that we have lacked an out and out goalscorer for the best part of a decade.4 points

I’ve renewed my season ticket but I despair about my ICT and the Board - some of their decisions seem hell bent on alienating the fans. Billy McKay has been the difference between win or lose since he’s returned. If young players are hesitating about coming to our Club and hear this is the way ICT deal with their top players, no wonder they hesitate re coming north. Even more bad publicity for ICT especially after Shane Sutherland’s bad press. You couldn’t make it up. If Billy goes to Ayr I wish him plenty goals in all his games. A great guy.4 points

Its not about how many, its the quality and probing nature that's needed then the conviction to put the board on the spot to challenge them. Unfortunately (no offence) but we know the pods done wont 'bite the hands that feeds them' and call out the board as liars or weak4 points

He wants to stay so sign him. Whatever extra cost to the club probably outweighed by sales of season tickets which otherwise might not be renewed!3 points

Could not agree more. Its one thing asking straight forward multiple questions and getting bland answers, but another to ask and demand responses to evidenced and detailed questions which are set up to elicit honest and valid answers. We can have all the Trusts and Forums we want, but if the board don't acknowledge their important role and show the fans the respect they deserve, the club is not going to progress, grow the fan base and be a truely local community asset. We need to become a club that exists to support each other, learn, inspire, develop and create a sense of belonging and fellowship. The disconnect that currently exists prevents all that.3 points

If Billy goes, I look forward to the highest paid, least valuable person at the club releasing a statement about wage caps and not letting players hold the club to ransom, blah, blah, blah.2 points

Hoping that given his history, he is involved in the medicals and risk assessment for our summer signings and we wont see repeats of the 'injury crisis' from this season.................2 points

Perhaps the issues were not as important when the fare on view was enjoyable and either in the Prem or at the top of the Championship. When you haven't been in that situation for a few seasons it is easy to look for all the faults and negatives.2 points

He's too busy setting up shell companies for unscrupulous former bankrupts who have an interest it taking over football clubs with other people's money.1 point

Hoping it’s just Twitter talk re Ayr Utd. However if it comes to fruition and depending on what answer is to my previous question I think quite a few fans will seriously rethink season ticket renewal. Sad times.1 point

With all the uncertainty surrounding Billy McKay not getting the contract he wants ( sign him up NOW) I have a question to ask. Have John Robertson, Barry Wilson and Scott Kellacher been given new contracts?1 point

Forgive my scepticism IHE but I have grown to be somewhat guarded about ‘clubs’, ‘trusts’ and ‘fraternity associations’ and whose interests they actually represent. Do the representatives selected (they are rarely votes in), truly act on the undiluted views of the fans, or is it a filter to present a set of guidelines their masters want them to work within! So whilst it’s not for me, I wish any new applicants well in maybe getting a better representation of the fans views across (as the trust’s image to date has in ways of communication between the fans-board somewhat compliant. Which is exactly what the Supporters Trust is doing with the Matchday Experience Survey. There will be a lot of comments, questions and ideas heading the Club's way, and all supported by hard data from the survey findings. I'm hopeful the survey report will be out next month but we're not quite at the stage where we can give a target date for releasing the report.1 point

Sad to hear that Craig Brown has died. I always felt his contribution was underrated given that we regularly qualified for tournaments during his tenure. I’m sure he was proud of our recent performances. Scotland has lost one of the good guys.1 point

That's fine. Its just as a member of the trust I get regular newsletters which I assume only members get? The more members the Trust has the louder the voice.1 point

Would be delighted if this is true, I never got my size the last time and regret not getting it sooner.1 point

It is interesting to note that certain players have been taken off the Club's web page but Billy and Tom are both there.... https://ictfc.com/team/inverness-caledonian-thistle The league fixtures are out this Friday and we can probably expect more news about new signings or re-signings before then.1 point

waiting to head to stadium for the bus….. Thanks very much to the ICT supporters travel club who placed me on a waiting list for 4 seats on a bus to the final last sunday. Couldn’t promise me seats on any bus or on same bus but would try. Got me the seats on bus 4 . Magic. then the RC under 12 match against Patrick was cancelled to allow the boys from both teams to attend the Sunday play off final in Dingwall. I got a call while in magaluf from my daughter that she and her 2 boys now wanted to go to hampden. back on to travel club to get 6 seats hopefully on same bus. All sorted for me again. Magic called my daughter to collect the 4 tickets I had bought previously and take them to the stadium to see if they can be returned and 6 new tickets purchased so we could all sit together. The person there said a bit of hassle for her as she would have to locate the stubs for the returning tickets, but she would have a go. Miraculously she found them in the first envelope she looked into. 6 new tickets bought. Magic. well done travel club and football club to get an old guy , his daughter and 4 grandchildren to the Scottish cup final. now only if the game goes as smoothly ………………1 point
