Nah. He's our version of the 6 Million Dollar Man. They have rebuilt him. Not sure if he's got 90 minutes in him, but a first 45, with half time break, could still see him contributing for the first 60 mins of a game. I'd rather have that, with a chance of us getting our nose in front, than bringing him on cold at the end when we're chasing a game. It's got to be worth a go, as it can't get much worse than at present.7 points
-
Get him on at the start and let him decide when he’s had enough .I think he’s old enough and wise enough to do that . I’m certainly not slagging off Duncan Ferguson like a lot on here I would just like Aaron to be given a bit more time to let us see what he has left in the tank .6 points

Doran is class. He hasn’t played many minutes this season but he and new loanee Samuel are way ahead of anybody else in the minutes per goal stats. We need him on the pitch looking to shoot on sight and the likes of Billy and Samuel primed to pounce on the loose balls from blocks, saves etc. Dunc has spoken highly of the ever present Gilmour, but I think I’m right in saying he has scored just once and has no assists. For someone in his role it is not good enough. Shaw may not be playing as well as last season but he has as many goals and assists as the rest of the regular midfield put together. Football is about scoring more goals than your opponents. It is not about how many safe passes you can make.5 points
-
I think Doran would do well for us in a number 10 role. He has shown time and again his ability to score from distance, and he and Billy have enough time together to inject a bit of much needed creativity in the final third.5 points
-
Brilliant strike from Doran by the way. Shame it didn’t really count for anything, it was a goal that deserved to win a match.5 points
-
That's your opinion STFU but still think we did alright as a team in fact think BBC had first half 47% us 53% Hibs.Mind we hit the crossbar and their first goal was a deflected shot. Just amazed how quick some on here just look for all the negative things with the team, not considering seven are new and Dunc is rebuilding.5 points
-
The problem with Duncball is shooting! Yes our possession is OK but it's just not fast enough going forward. Quite convinced we could employ Harry Kane and we wouldn't get the ball to him. Hibs adjusted their formation at half time as it was clear we had no punch up front. Worrying..... Our home form is rank rotten.4 points
-
Sure, it’s too early to think of Dunc getting sacked but it’s fair enough to question what we’re seeing. There was a terrific new manager bounce after an awful start with Dodds, but it’s gone very flat. Hopefully the team will gel a bit more and become more positive going forward as a result. To be fair, Dunc inherited a mess. As far as I’m concerned, avoiding relegation is the main target. Assuming that is achieved then I will be looking for improvement both in terms of results and entertainment next season. If we don’t get that, then it would be time for someone else.3 points

The inevitable Ferguson witch-hunt gathers pace. This forum must be a leader in the propensity of whingers and armchair manager assassins. Has Ferguson been afforded any cash to splash or is he part of the cull to save money ? Have we ever seen such changes mid season and who is at fault there ? Do you think that Ferguson made that decision on his own or perhaps maybe the decisions were made for him ? Is Ferguson being set up as the Messiah or the fall guy - and who would do that ? Fraid the off field element of our club has become a real self preservation society - and finally (The Rock has come back to Inverness) did anyone actually think that we would beat Hibs3 points
-
Not sure who the scoreline flatters most, us or them? Hibs second win this year, and boy did we help them get it. For all their second half possession their shooting was weak and if it wasn't for some crap defensive decisions and a few bloopers they would have struggled if we had taken them later into the game at 0-0. I don't think anybody ( in their right mind ) would have fancied us for a win , or even a goal would have been pushing things . Our best option was possession based football to limit their chances but we were guilty of surrendering the ball too easily, too often and in poor areas. Can't understand the calls for managers head, think someone is having a wee giggle there.3 points

Start Aaron to give us a few goals as he knows where the net is then rest him .He needs time to do what he’s good at . Well done Aaron !! Cracking goal !!3 points

No complaints from me about the result. Ridgers kept us in it in the first half, although I thought we competed well and deserved the 0-0 score line. The shot for the first goal took a wicked deflection or otherwise Ridgers would have had a comfortable save. McAllister lost possession in the build up after doing the hard work in winning the ball. Boyes was at fault for the second whilst we seemed to switch off a bit expecting a flag for the third but the player who picked the ball up was onside. Doran’s goal was a cracker, but far too little far too late. I’m not sure about the defensive substitutions as the defence was coping well on the whole. I can only guess that Chilokoa-Mullen and Savage are not fully match fit yet as both have been subbed in all three matches they’ve started for us. Now we need to focus on our league survival. We dropped a place today with Queens Park beating Dunfermline. After Partick next week, we play the two teams below is and those are games we cannot afford to slip up in. Like others, I do see improvements but we’ve had so many changes and we don’t yet know if the changes are paying off. Kerr looks good at right wing back, the young central defenders all look competent, McAllister seems to have potential, Samuel is a real asset and is hopefully fit soon, with the jury out on Pepple as we’ve not seen much of him. They should all benefit from game time. MacGregor got a few minutes at the end and will hopefully be able to have a positive impact. Samuels was on the bench, and his pace as an impact player will be useful in games. Im not (currently) as despondent as some posters, and calls for the Manager’s head are very premature.3 points

It would be interesting to look at loan utilisation in the 4/5 years leading up to our Scottiish Cup win in 2015. My perception is that we had a period of fairly low player turnover and few loans. Which was likely the key to those golden years.2 points
-
Kane would drop deep and get the ball himself. Haaland would struggle though.2 points
-
I’m not a big fan of loans, yes they can do well when they are here but then they just walk away and we need to reset. I find it a little worrying we’ve lost two big players and the general influx coming in has been youths from the English set up with no real experience of a relegation fight.2 points
-
Can’t imagine he’s feeling great. Been fit since Christmas and everyone and their dog has been parachuted in ahead of him. Dunc obviously doesn’t like the look of him2 points
-
I suspect my knees are in better shape. Great player and great servant. But he is past his sell by date and is the ideal 20 - 30 minutes substitute.2 points
-
Would they? If he had played more than a handful of games in two years he might be in the frame. But he's been near permanently broken so will have to work his way back in.2 points
-
Most teams in our division would love to have a Roddy McGregor. Why would you not play him ? Been on that bench apparently fit so why is he not getting a game ?2 points

Fans were happy to defend dodds during utterly horrific runs of results yet seem to want the new guy out after a few months when trying to sort out our **** show that was left Perhaps the fact he inherited a squad with only a 34 year old striker and zero creative players which was leaking goals might be worth considering. The point he has seen all these issues and with our limited budget managed to bring in during what is seen as a difficult transfer window some options, more time is needed to see if it works. All those wild shouts for imrie need to consider we can't afford compensation and ultimately that Morton squad exceeds our quality levels so why would he have chosen to leave a club he has turned around to walk into a (smaller club) with a worse financial mess?2 points
-
Not too fused or interested in possession stats. You can have 100% possession but if you don't shoot on target you're never going to score. Knowing our look we'd still lose with an og from a dodgy back pass. Yes, Big Dunc is rebuilding but some of his building blocks aren't quite stable yet. Hopefully the mortar will set soon and make us more solid2 points
-
If you gift goals to the opposition and fail to have any shots on target until the 94th minute then you can hardly expect to win games2 points
-
Both would be better than what we have just now! Dunc is clueless and the last transfer window was a disaster! We haven’t replaced the players we’ve lost with anyone half as good and the character has been stripped from the team. it’s ok though I’m sure the battery farm will keep some folk happy. league 1 here we come2 points

How often does Harper get the ball wide left, 1 v 1 with his man and turns back, very rarely even tries a 1 2 to beat the defender, its infuriating. Ball goes back the way, across the back line to try the same on the other side. We've nothing creative in the centre of the park and really lack quality in the final 3rd.2 points

This ... One or two loans such as Boyes and in the past Henderson fine, I just think 7 too many. Carson being forced out is highly disappointing and Wotherspoon has not been replaced.1 point

Thought the highlights made that look even worse tbh. We competed well enough in the first half despite Hibs better quality but again, no shots on target so nothing to show on the telly, and it looked ominous when they had players like Youan to bring on at ht. Losing Samuel on the eve of the match was a big blow. But no point in moaning about losing to a Premier team as we have a more serious situation in the league, although even last season’s team would have been expected to give Hibs more of a challenge than that. If we’re going to play with wing backs then why aren’t they doing what wing backs do? Cammy Harper has the ability to run full backs but he’s obviously been instructed not to. We’re committed to low-risk football it seems. Every time we have a promising situation we the fans turn to each other and joke that it’ll end up back at Ridgers, and usually the joke turns out to be true. Playing the ball is not his strong point so he hoofs it and we lose possession. Shot-shy… the story of the season. Even an attempt at goal gets the fans on their feet. One of the few tv highlights that showed us going forward down the left was so typical- screaming out for a first time cross but instead we pass it inside and try to walk it in like Barcelona. I still have faith that Dunc can build a side for next season - the away performances have mainly been excellent but that doesn’t help the poor souls watching the home games. And obviously he has to keep us up first. I have the fear for next week as Brian Graham hasn’t broken his duck against us this season. With the Pars in freefall will they get a new manager bounce by dumping McPake?1 point
-
He did have a promising start this season before picking up injury ( where have I heard that before? ) Might be worth a shout...but where? centrally? Not been a winger for a decade now.1 point
-
Is that when he gets near the opposition penalty box and should be taking a shot? The 3-5-2 formation and tippy tappy stuff at home isn't working. We need to be more direct and less predictable. For the next few league games I'd like to see a switch to 4-3-3 with Samuel, Pepple and Mckay up front.1 point

We always do well on the possession stat as teams are happy to let us fanny about with ball in our own half. Technically we hit the cross bar, even if it was a ball that actually dropped on the top of it and was closer to hitting the back of the bar than the front if it. I'm not calling for manager or player heads and agree that there are circumstances at play, but that doesn't mean we should be kidding ourselves things are better than they are.1 point

I got stick on here when backing the suggestion of Imrie for the job! Anyway, let’s not get distracted and give Big Dunc and the players our total support as they look to get us up the table.1 point

Nathan Shaw is struggling for form along with a few others. Always produced his best form out wide, not sure suited to his new role in a midfield of 3.1 point

Oh for goodness sake. Not so long ago Morton were awful and Dougie Imrie has turned it around. Give Duncan a chance. He’s only just brought 8n his own players. Well done Aaron Doran today. Maybe he should get more game time, after all its goals we need.1 point

Looking at Morton's recent run of results I'm kinda wishing that Imrie had got the job instead of Ferguson?1 point

Sorry Douglas, I can't agree. We are so insipid, one dimensional and outright boring to watch. Our defence should have just worn Santa suits and white beards and be done with it. We are absolutely honking and we don't have enough characters or spirit to avoid a relegation play off place, at best.1 point

Don't agree with all the negative comments on here I thought the boys did okay especially the first half. I thought ourback three of Mullen, Savage and Carracher did well enough and looked solid its our final third where we are struggling. 3-1 flattered Hibs, the first two goals were a deflections and a mistake. Dorans goal was quality. We need to up the tempo and be more proactive. I agree we need a striker and just a shame Samuel was out injured.1 point

I think we have 7 loan players. Is this a good thing I wonder? Pro, if they 'do well' with us it might advance their career at their aren't club or see them find another club. Con, are they as committed to the cause as others? If the Morton game on 3rd May is 'do or die' are they going to give it their all and risk injuring themselves at that stage of the season?0 points
-
Pros - we can afford them and they are willing to come and play Cons - we can't afford anyone better or risk longterm contracts because if we are relegated to the seaside leagues it'll bankrupt us0 points

What has been forgotten is that when granted planning permission in 2004 it was only for a temporary period of 3 years. The club was supposed to have applied for more permanent stands, renew the permission or dismantle the stands before the 3 years was up. The agents told the club that when the permission was granted then again early in 2007. Not even the Council bothered to chase that one up. Technically, they are in breach of planning legislation.0 points
