  1. That non-statement statement is utter shi*e and says NOTHING except a desire to buy time to see what they can say, or to see emotions die down. Gentlemen - that emotion and sentiment will NOT die down.

  2. Has to be the correct heads (plural) though and not just scapegoats ... One man is most culpable and central to all the fiascos of the past few years. We went viral with the pixalot fiasco, and not for the right reasons, the concert 'failure' ruined a lot of trust and goodwill in the area (and yes it was not 'technically' the club but try telling that to small businesses who are out thousands they can barely afford, and the cherry on top seems to be the battery farm ... Whether or not these are his fault or not is irrelevant IMHO, he was the one person who demanded he had to sign off on everything at the club, including speaking to the media or fans, and was also the one person who suggestions and ideas had to go through, with many promising ideas being cast aside because they weren't his regardless of their merit.

  3. Staying full-time is a hugely positive first step. We now need to hear what the restructuring looks like but it absolutely must involve a new manager and the exit of the CEO.

  4. I thought about putting out a "statement" on behalf of CTO on Saturday but personally, I think that's counterproductive as the Trust statement kind of said it all. Personally, as a member of the Trust that's all I need. We have been around for 30 years here on CTO, and I think providing a platform for the users on here to express themselves independently, as well as the contents of many of our personal social media posts say it all without any press release. Check my twitter feed @highlanderict if you are at all uncertain of my feelings. In case anyone wants a statement on where we stand ... The CTO version is short and simple. We support the Trust statement and get behind it fully. We ask that the club "Get Gardiner Gone" We ask that the club "Get Ferguson Gone" Lets get talking about how to rebuild from whatever shambles is left behind and with who at the helm, both on the field and off the field. We need good leadership in both areas. We also need immediate improvement in communication, fan representation as well as community and fan engagement. Bring back #TogetherNESS

  5. Its absolutely wild that we were relegated 3 days ago and yet there hasn't been a peep from the club. Not even a holding statement or an acknowledgement as to what has happened. We shouldn't be surprised but that is farcical.

  6. It is, of course, encouraging that we are to stay full time, but that statement is both pathetic and patronising. There is nothing of relevance in it which could not have been pre-prepared and issued a minute after the final whistle. There were people weeping in the stands on Saturday and they have had to wait 3 full days for any kind of comment from the club. And when comment comes, the Chairman has the gall to suggest that the fans' commitment to the club is an inspiration to the Board. Pull the other one! The 72 hour delay in putting anything out to the fans was absolutely shameful and demonstrates just how little they care about the supporters.

  7. I can understand why so many are saying they are not going to be putting any more money into the club at this stage. It is though, important for people to spend a modest fiver to join the Supporters Trust if they haven't already done so. Whatever the outcome of the current crisis, it is crystal clear that the fans need a voice in the running of the club. That voice needs to be loud and representative. To be loud and representative, we need as many fans as possible to join the Trust to vote for those who put themselves forward for the Trust Board. The more fans the Trust represents, the harder it will be to ignore us. The money men on the Board have no right to control what happens at our club. The purchase of a season ticket, club merchandise, car parking, a half time draw ticket, food and drink all add up. Long standing fans will themselves also have put in thousands to the club over the years. Many fans will have spent a similar proportion of their disposable income on the club as the Board's money men have. In some cases, maybe more! We have a right to demand change and to have our say in the running of our club.

  8. Read the full statement HERE "We have been working for a number of weeks on a comprehensive restructuring plan for what we believe is the best way forward for ICTFC, details of which will be announced in the next few days, but following last night’s Board Meeting, I can confirm that the club will remain full-time next season and I thank everyone in advance for showing some patience as we make sure that plan is finalised". Key Points from initial Statement (only 3 days late) Club to remain full time Focus on long term stability More news to follow. (this must be the tip of the iceberg!) So far, this is not the news the we on Caley Thistle Online wanted to hear. Pleased that we will still function as a club, disappointed that resignations have not been offered yet. Keeping fans waiting in silence for three days is unforgivable and relationships are drifting further apart than ever before. Silence is not the way forward, we deserve better.

  9. Following Saturday's match, the Supporters Trust issued a statement, which has bene picked up by the local media. It was shared with our membership at the weekend. In case you have not seen it, follow this link: https://www.ictsupporterstrust.org/post/relegation-statement We would like to thank everyone who has messaged us to show their support since the match, and we welcome the many new members who have joined us since Saturday. Members of the Trust Board have been busy since Saturday. The Board met on Sunday, and will meet again once we have feedback from the club's Board Meeting last night. If you are not a member of the Trust, please consider joining us. Details are here: https://www.ictsupporterstrust.org/join-us We are also grateful for the support that has been shown for our Stronger Together initiative, and details of it are here: https://www.ictsupporterstrust.org/stronger-together Thank you again for all the support you have shown to the Supporters Trust. We will continue to work on behalf of our growing membership.

  10. The site is running very slow as Scotty has highlighted due to many folk wanting to know what is going to happen to our club. We are likely to have all the press looking for a bit of news as there is nothing from the official site so it's their only hope! Or it could be due to the number of posts that dougal is making as he usually does when there is a bit of a crises at the club

  12. Whilst I appreciate that the local media don't want to completely burn bridges with the club surely we could expect them to be calling out the board for the communications omnisambles they're presiding over here. Three days on and not even a holding statement - absolutely pitiful.

  13. had our service provider check this out. turns out we were under attack from a couple of IP addresses in the far east. These are known bad IP addresses so the host is now blocking them at the server level. At the time of checking, each one had made more than 80,000 requests to the server causing our server load to spike above 40 . Typically our server load is under 1.00 or at busy times between 1 and 2 which is fine as we have a multi-core server. I will check things in (my) morning and if the load is back to normal will re-enable the currently disabled features.

  14. Daft question perhaps given ghe lack of financial transparency in recent times but do we have any insight on ST sales projection vs actuals within the clubs budget for full time status during 23/24 ? Irrespective of whether we do or don't that is one imperative, along with boycotting official club merchandise, we as a collective can utilise to drive home the demand for change at the top highlighted in the excellent trust statement. The fan base need to consider rallying to make the club sit up and take note how many long term supporters do not intend to renew (or if ex ST holders return) unless they agree to fall on their swords (metaphorically of course) A list if it could somehow be collated would have more impact than individual emails. To those who say this is harming the club I would contest do we shock the patient in the hope of a positive response or await the inevitable. I purchased a ticket for the covid season to support the club because I was lucky enough to be able to & never saw a ball kicked in anger whilst it is now apparent Gardiner bedded in his authoritarian regime back stage. Those at the top have subsequently taken the goodwill of the dwindling fan base post covid as a given whilst completely taking it for granted. They have fixated on vanity projects, disappeared repeatedly down rabbit holes, mis representing OUR club in the process and completely taking their eye of the nuts and bolts of running OUR football club. Now they issue this statement after 72 hours of radio silence. Talk about not reading the room. Renew our hope & we'll renew our commitment.. Rant ends

  15. Over 48 hours on from Saturday's debacle and not so much as a peep from our illustrious board either on our own social media or via traditional media outlets. I don't think any club in British football would get away with such utter disregard for its fanbase. These guys are supposedly respected businessmen and yet they seem totally incapable of very simple communications or situation management. Utterly shambolic at every turn.

  16. It says nothing. At least we remain full time for now. Changes need to be made. If we start the League One season with the same people in charge than I fear we'll fall even further. The sad/bad times are here for a good while yet I fear.

  18. Please don’t take this the wrong way, but we would all come up with different forms of wording. The Trust deserves credit for getting a statement out in the immediate aftermath of Saturday’s disaster and for keeping its members updated. Credit also to the Wyness Shuffle guys for their post about the situation and also showing their support for the work of the Trust. All at a time when those running the club are conspicuous by their silence.

  19. Perhaps this is a cost we can cut and just elevate either Esson or Kellacher to #2.

  20. Indeed. We have a core of good staff at the sharp end and they will almost certainly be the ones that suffer either by losing jobs or by being expected to do more with or for less ... it is at the top end where the skills are blunt and fingernails will cling to power as long as they can. Anything less than an announcement that the first two people to go are Gardiner and Ferguson will be utterly wrong. I am not sure we can afford to pay them off as I don't know their contracts, but for the sake of the club, its ethos, its community, or what is left of it, I am not sure we can afford NOT to do it.

  21. No, I have a very good understanding of Employment Law so know the process companies need to follow. However the restructuring was made public at the Fans Meeting in early April and to take effect from the start of the new financial year on 1 June. For that date to be achieved, they should be well through the consultation process by now. Personally I want to understand how the plan, whatever it is, achieves sustainability, particularly if the Battery Farm does not get the go ahead, and how we avoid a repeat of the current cash flow problems.

  23. They would get more people contributing if they weren't so high and mighty. I'll not give the club a single penny more until Gardiner is gone. I didn't buy a season ticket for that very reason. Others have done the same. There are plenty who have been contributing but have seen one cluster f&%k after another and all going back to Gardiner. Every single supporter who has bought season tickets, match tickets, shirts etc has contributed and quite rightly should have their say! Without support the club doesn't exist - worth remembering that the fans make the club not the other way around.

  29. Not that long ago I was loyal to my own team and then it merged with one of its oldest rivals to produce a team which eventually did very well in a higher league and so to get my football fix I ****d off to the Longman to enjoy the Caley Thistle project. With your flaky logic I suppose that makes me a glory hunter!

  30. Dundee has 2 clubs on the same street. In the central belt there are lots of clubs in a 15 mile radius - should they all merge too? And IMO its not the same pool of supporters at all - you make a choice and stick with it through loyalty and if you're fair-weather enough to be 'chased' or woo-ed by another club flashing its knickers suggest you are already a flaky glory hunter with more than one 'big team' whether that be domestically or elsewhere.

  31. It leaves more questions than answers. Are there changes to the Board? Will we retain a CEO? What about the Manager, Assistant and Coaches? What about the other staff employed by the club, many of whom must be quite low paid. How big a squad will we have? What happens to the Academy? etc etc.

  35. That also stretches to manager interviews with DF and laterally BD, who was never asked a pressing question. It was actually very boring, lazy journalism but why would they want to disturb the old pals act. The whole thing now surrounding the club is actually getting tedious, I'm not surprised in the slightest by the radio silence.

  44. #togetherness is long gone. The CEO in particular has done nothing to bring people together but rather created mistrust and division. Be that between fans and the club, the community and the club or businesses and the club etc. Regardless of what stands may or may not be open (wouldn't want to move to the Main) I certainly don't intend to renew my season ticket so long as Scot Gardiner is employed at the club. Simple as that, he's a toxic narcissist.

  45. You’re missing the point completely regarding the problem of fan behaviour and the pitch invasion at the end of the game. The security of the players and those attending the match is the responsibility of the club (ICTFC) - It start and stops there. With respect, anyone with half a mind on past high pressure, edgy and potentially volatile play-off football matches would fully know there was the chance a negative result could spark trouble. Throw in a toxic CEO and Chairman, it’s fairly clear the warning signs were there. Now, in my option, the aforementioned CEO and those in the Board and club responsible for this security were fully aware of the risks. - The fact no police were in attendance during the match was a calculated decision by these people. It costs money and for those ‘like minded people’, the SMART decision was to leave the fans to themselves. Any cost of any potential trouble could be sorted out and picked up by calling the bobbies and the public purse. SMART!! I can’t and will not blame the match stewards (below minimal wage on zero hour contracts, shipped in on a mini bus from god knows where). We had in the north stand the young team led by drunk fat 16 year adolescents or drunk fat 20+losers (take your pick). As soon as the first Hamilton goal went it the inevitable unrest fermented. Led by these sad clowns dads with kids were targets for abuse and intimidation. Items were thrown on the pitch (ref picked up one). At the end of the match the Hamilton fans ran on (wrongly) to celebrate a wonderful (unexpected I would say) result with their players. Who was responsible for this - ICT football club. The then response by ‘our’ young patrons was to respond and led by the aforementioned halfwits was the flood onto the park. All so predictable and all so sad. The responsibility to protect the players and ground staff lies solely with the Club and here they were again found negligent (by design or incompetence) and I fully expect them to by fined by the footballing authorities for this gross dis-ownership of responsibility to secure the ground for the match. Maybe it’s a parting ‘gift’ from some on the board for the club. If you have a complaint regards the security at the match I think it came down to cold calculated costs and opinion / attitude of those in control of the club.

  49. Usual mix of bad errors at the back and negative football from Ferguson. His pig headed refusal to change his approach to games got us into this mess and will see us relegated to a division we will struggle to come back from. He'll ultimately go down as one of the worst appointments in the clubs history.
