We would like to thank the boys, board members and fans who turned out tonight. The meeting was very positive with good points raised from all in attendance. Hopefully everyone would have taken something from the meeting and we can all move forward in a positive manner.

Will CJT be running a bus to the meeting ?

Hi, Cambridge fan here and just want to say you are getting one heck of a player and a top fella. The press are listing Liam as an attacking midfielder but he has played just about every position for us. I'd say his best position is a deep lying centre mid or centre def. As his record shows he isn't a massive goal scorer but he has great creativity can certainly pick a pass to unlock a defence. Not afraid to get stuck in and mix it when he has to but certainly not dirty in anyway. He's tall and we regularly put him up against tall strikers when defending corners or goal kicks and he won a LOT more than he lost. He's got a good engine and as you've seen from the video has a shot on him like a kicking horse. We really don't understand the logic in letting him go. He's been a stalwart for the last 2-3 years but a new manager has come in and bombed him & a few others straight out of the team without ever looking at them in a game and replaced them with a number of untried premier league youngsters, none of whom are setting the world alight. One thing you really will get from him is a real connection with the fans, he'll always be happy to have photos taken or sign autographs. Any kids that ask him will get asked if they play, what position etc and he gives a real sense of being genuinely interested in their answers. I hope you enjoy him, he will always get a fantastic welcome from us for the opening goal in our playoff final at Wembley in 2014 that ended 9 years of non league wilderness. Keep an eye out for a U's shirt or two popping up as I've already heard of several people planning a weekend away.

Perhaps if Greg had a week to decide. He would be playing for Aberdeen. But to be forced do decide within a few hours without the opportunity to speak to missus/close friends/family he decided to stay where he is a guaranteed starter (he would need to earn his place in the Aberdeen first 11) and content. If the opportunity comes up again in a literally a few months he will have more time to make a decision and probably move. ...Maybe he had a stinking hangover on the deadline day and couldnt be arsed talking to anyone, well thats i feel when im hungover, just procrastinate and decide something when im normal again.

The Johnstone Paint trophy final at Wembley on 3 April will feature no less than 3 ex ICT players. Alex MacDonald for Oxford Utd, plus Sam Winnall and Marley Watkins for Barnsley, should all feature. We know that Watkins should not suffer from stage fright on this big occasion, after his exploits at Hampden less than a year earlier. Good luck to all three of them.

The OP might have been slightly disingenuous in suggesting that it was Much Ado About Nothing but it looks after the welcome hastily convened meeting it could be a case of All's Well That Ends Well. Well done to all concerned at let's hope that our generally fantastic young crew can continue to support the team loudly and proudly but within the law.

Thankfully we can look back laugh about it, and I hope he can too. Who knows, we might not have won if it had stayed 11 v 11. Glad to see he's staying with us for at least another season, and it gives him a chance to demonstrate to our fans that Greg Tansey is not actually "the only decent things to come from Liverpool".

Of course Tansey needs convinced.....anyone offering double the salary would. I think we tend to forget how good life must be in the Highlands for these lads, how successful they all are. Look at when Butcher was offered double the salary down the road. I tell you something, I'd move back up the road in a heartbeat for the quality of life if I could ..... Aberdeen is an absolute hole! How many players have left Caley and gone on to probably think it was a mistake to leave, Tansey being one of them, but now he got a 2nd bite of the cherry. Why can't we think Tansey is repaying the faith Caley showed in him by bringing him back and reviving his career by staying with us and being loyal. Plus let me tell you.... Double the salary doesn't go that far down this way!

There will be a meeting tomorrow night (Friday 5th Feb) at the upstairs meeting room of Dows Bar on Balloan Road. This meeting is for the people who travelled on bus 3 to discuss how we can move forward, hopefully in a more positive manner. For anyone else who has any issues they wish to raise we have the AGM coming up in 2 weeks time. We also have some vacancies on the board so you may llike to consider filling out a nomination form and standing for election.

I don't know what on earth is going on here but I can't believe all the outpourings on this site as a result of the initial posting. As a regular on the away buses I have never seen singing being frowned upon. As the members of the board of CJT seem to be well balanced individuals I can't believe that they would place a ban on 30 youngsters from future buses simply for singing. Doesn't make sense. And if it doesn't make sense it's not true. I look forward to hearing the correct story on the bus to Motherwell on Saturday.

I don't know about you but I would need a bit of convincing to stay where I was rather than move along the road for double my salary. The important point is not that he had to be convinced but that, whether he required convincing or not, he decided to stay.

Without obviously knowing the full extent of what occurred on bus 3 I can only comment based on what has been said so far. First off I find it bizarre that if there was a prior concern about bus 3 being run with 30 'youths' on it, surely someone with a strong personality should be the bus supervisor, or even split them across all three buses? I don't mean to say whoever was supervising the bus done a poor job, but surely if alarm bells were ringing you would think a water tight plan would be created ie. If it was anticipated alcohol was going to be an issue - bag searches were taken as people got on the bus. With the size of our away support already small it amazes me we still try to alienate certain groups of fans instead of encouraging them to return. A ban for one game to me is even more bizarre than a blanket ban. What sort of message does this send out? - the behavior of everyone on the bus wasn't perfect so you miss the next match? Everyone who is in change of Caley Jags Together to a man ( or woman) has done a remarkable job over the last few years with 3 semi finals and 2 finals to arrange transport for - but I do feel that a lack of youth representation within the group could be an issue? Someone with a different view on such issues and dare I say a less 'Politically correct' view would be a great addition. The joint statement regarding the so called Pyro to me was very bizarre and within seconds of reading it I knew exactly the reaction it would create and I can assure you it was not the desired one. As far as running bus's goes, I have run a few in my time.If you can confirm numbers it would be great and I would run a bus/minibus every week - But numbers can fluctuate so much it can often work out at running at a loss As these young boys done, it could be an idea to outsource a bus to groups. But I guess that wouldn't ensure ' responsible behavior' was enforced.

I honestly don't think this has caused too much bad blood between the clubs or the fans. I for one hope the Dons go on to win every remaining league game of the season bar one (two if we make top six) and give us a real title race. Can you imagine it, the Weegie press and two thirds of BBC Scotland would be close spontaneous combustion if at the end of the league season the big cup was in Inverness, the little cup in Dingwall and the league title in Aberdeen....

Now that it's confirmed, I wish him well on his Inverness career! I note from my saddo stats that he won't be a complete stranger at the Caledonian Stadium. He'll know Nat Wedderburn - they played almost a full season in the same Corby Town team in 2012/13 - in the English 'level 6' (Conference North - now called the National League North). A familiar face, particularly far away from home can really help! Good luck, Liam!

Could it be that the venue you describe as a dive is convenient, has a history of support for the club and is reasonably priced ?

There's a lot of ill-informed, wild speculation on this saga........so I'm now going to add to it. There was much press/twitter comment on deadline day about Tansey's release clause being "ambiguously worded". Let's run with that. There's a clause that refers to a £200,000 minimum fee being required to release him from his contract at ICT, but the actual wording doesn't oblige the club to sell him there and then. Just for example, "Should a transfer offer of no less than £200,000 be received in writing by the employer within a transfer window, the Player will be granted permission to discuss personal terms with the club making said offer." So, everyone thinks there is a release clause, but it can be argued that there isn't really. Due to the lack of time to find a replacement for such a key player, ICT decide with some reluctance to enforce the strict wording of the clause, rather than the spirit of it, call Tansey in and apologetically point out that whilst he is now entitled to speak to Aberdeen, it would be pointless because ICT are under no obligation to sell him and have no intention of doing so. As a sweetener, though, they will agree to let him move on in the summer, perhaps even for less than £200,000, to keep him motivated. Tansey then has a choice. Consider his contract to have been breached, walk away and get into a lengthy legal battle about how the ambiguous contract clause should be interpreted, with only a chance of success. Agreed to ICT's proposal. He therefore "elected" to stay at the club, happy to see out the season, but having little choice really. And shortly afterwards, he publicly disassociates himself from the agent who failed to secure the release clause Tansey was assured was in place. Wild speculation, as I said, but I'm pretty sure it's an awful lot closer than the "loyalty" explanation. Football's a short career and no player at our level chooses to earn half his market worth. You'll also note that there was nothing in the statement that said anything along the lines of "Greg looks forward to seeing out the remainder of his contract". I don't think I'm being "negative" here - perhaps a bit cynical, granted, but most of all, realistic.

People assume because it's an official club statement...not a journalists view or story, not a statement from another club or manager! It's an ICTFC statement which is something the supporters are always crying out for. Now we get one, and the odd one or two can't help themselves but to find every negative, from this whole saga, and make up their own views. I also agree with another post where the person said he would need convincing not to move and double his wages...I'm almost 100% it would be the same with anyone else on this forum. and finally, your tesco story....total bollocks

I'd have thought with so much emphasis on underage drinking these days and the recent alleged rowdy behaviour, CJT would look to appear to show that's it's board often attend far more classy establishments than dives like Dows. I was thinking more of the Castle Street Restaurant or even So Coco!
