Totally agree. It's the same with not keeping at least one man up the park when the opposition had a corner. All that does is that if we clear the ball, it's going to come right back into us and also invites more opposition players into our box. Basic basic tactics that Ferguson needs to see and change.

You're starting to look silly now. Protection of green spaces is needed as part of the Net Zero ambitions. I'm not against energy storage per se, even though lithium mining is extremely harmful to the environment, I just think there are safer, more appropriate places to site it. Take the need for ICTFC to dig itself from the financial mess it is in out the equation, and very few people would give a toss that Highland Council might reject the planning. So you're kidding yourself if you think that Net Zero is the club's primary motivator, or that the case they make for it is in any way robust. They don't even have a climate action plan. The claimed community benefit has also been shown up as a weak argument, and the club are unwilling to show how much of the £3.4 million will be swallowed by debt. So much so that they've used legislative loopholes to prevent the issuing of the accounts for y/e 2023. I'd maybe have a little more respect for the club if they just came out and told us that without the cash, we're fecked, instead of trying to present themselves as some kind Robin Hood meets Greta Thurnberg character who are going to save the people and the planet.

Maybe it would be better to build the football stadium at Fairways and the Battery storage down at the dump!

At a superficial level, it's actually very easy for me, in a densely populated and cultivated area 20 miles from the centre of London, to be amused at concerns about "loss of green space". It's the Highlands of Scotland, FFS But, yes, I do understand - it's loss of readily accessible green space.

Another thing that should be picked up on, though small, is the numpties in the stand taking the ball away at the most inopportune times. Second home game on the bounce where some kid has thrown the ball further back into the stand or held it to throw it into play at the absolute worst time. Different story if its the middle of the game and its the opposition goalie wanting it, but at a last ditch corner its hideously frustrating. Might sound harsh or over the top, but the club need to be keeping tabs on these things as it absolutely will cost us at some stage

TBF we’ve been well warned about not parking on the verge. However, I wish the same attention was paid to parking on double yellow lines on the road at full time as cars park to pick people up. It is a hazard and causes chaos.

The Chairman named the individual he had spoken to at national level fire service. Can't remember title but something similar to being in charge of health and safety. He said the fire service hadn't objected at planning so there was no issue. After planning granted they'd come in and look at exits, hardstandings etc and look at the fire plan and advise. Someone asked if thus was in writing and he alluded this was.

Signing more defenders will help IMO.

Looking at the league table: Home: 9th with 12 points out of 42 in 14 games. Only Arbroath below us on goal difference but they’ve played one less home game. 11 goals scored, 4 less than anyone else. Away: 3rd with 19 points out of 42 in 14 games. Only Dundee United and Raith Rovers above us. 21 goals scored. It highlights exactly where our problem lies! Of our 11 home goals, we’ve scored 3 twice, but in our other 12 home league games we’ve scored 1 five times and 0 seven times. We’ve failed to score in half our home games! We’ve only scored in 1 home league match in 2014, drawing a blank four times! We should switch our last four home league games to our opponents grounds!

I’m no nimby. There’s one of these being built within view of my bedroom window, about 200 metres away, and I didn’t object. The nearest house is actually about 80m away I would guess, yet it sailed through planning with no controversy and no objection from the community council. I’d probably rather it wasn’t going there, but it doesn’t bother me at all, and these things have to go somewhere, and if it wasn’t this then something else would be built there instead at some point that might be worse.

Not much to get excited about. Missing having either Shaw or longstaff. Kerr was outstanding at winning the ball, often nicking the ball off an opponent who thought he was receiving a comfortable pass. He seems less able to find a telling pass but that may be partly due to a general lack of movement in front of him. Lawal also showed some real talent. He's got quick feet and looked the most creative of the midfielders on show. I suspect Pepple's strength is in the air, but he was being played in with balls that would have been much better suited to the pacier Austin Samuels. The lads need to look to shoot more often but you can't fault the effort. They deserve our support and need the fans to get behind them, especially at home.

I agree with the comments above from those at the game. We should have won that quite comfortably, but a combination of our continuing reluctance to shoot, poor attempts and bad luck saw us draw a blank. Kerr was the pick, but the defence was solid and we were largely on top in midfield. The jury is out for me on Lawal. He had some nice touches but was dispossessed too easily on occasions. Game time should help him. I don’t think it changed the outcome, but that was one of the weakest refereeing performances I have seen in a long time. How many times was Samuel, in particular, being held, pushed or fouled and nothing was given. 5 unbeaten, 3 clean sheets in a row but we are still stuck in 9th. Another really big game next week when Ayr come here. A win gets us up the table. A defeat does not bear thinking about.

Considering they hadn't played together before, I though Kerr, Anderson and Lawal combined well in midfield with Cammy Kerr head and shoulders above anybody else on the park. Unfortunately, despite no lack of trying, we are still missing that cutting edge upfront that could turn these stalemates into wins. Came away from today more positive than some weeks though as the boys really gave it their all today. It's going to be a battle until the end of the season but there is enough characters in the team to drag us to safety in my opinion.

First half wasn't the best, both teams probing. Whilst I feel we shaded it in terms of controlling possession Airdrie looked dangerous & quick on the counter. Apart from a frenetic first ten minutes in the second half where we continually gave the ball back to Airdrie we pretty much bossed it from there on in. A lot of good performances, notably Lawal in the middle along with Kerr. Also Carragher Devine and Savage looked pretty assured in front of Ridgers. Pepple even had an impact, notably on the keepers head. Only the goals were missing.

I thought we played well today and MOM Kerr.He has made midfield his own. The new lads all did well particularly Lawal. Thought the officials were poor and the standside linesman could have helped more. If I Could tell the boys three words to help it would be Shoot,Shoot SHOOT!!!

Played brilliantly imo, just need players to push down the wing rather than trying to double back on themselves, and players that will actually get a shot off

Appropriate procedures and controls need to be in place for anything like this and it would make complete sense for any planning consent to have appropriate conditions applied. But as far as I can see it is all about risk management rather than fire services having a right to say no on principle to this or to any other application that has a fire risk. The NFCC’s BESS guidance says there should be a minimum of 25m between the BESS and other buildings/dwellings. ICT’s proposal offers 8 times that. The Community Councils must’ve just missed that part.

Further to my earlier post, I have gone on the Council website and explored the documents associated with this planning application. None of these documents appear to include any professional advice around the fire risk. There is a record to say that the Scottish Fire and Rescue service were sent a consultation request on 21st September 2023, but there is no record of any response that I can see. This raises a number of questions given that the Community Councils are saying that NFCC guidelines "make it irrefutably clear" that there are "multiple unresolvable safety issues", whilst the club chairman states that the SFRS have confirmed they have no issues with the application. Has the Council actually received any advice from the SFRC? If so, what is that advice and why is it not available along with other the other advisory documents? If the Council has not received any advice from SFRC, why have they proceeded with the process without advice on an aspect which is a well recognised potential hazard with this type of installation? If the club chairman has confirmation from the SFRS that they have no issues with this installation, can he put a copy of the relevant communication in the public domain? It should be noted that when the council planners recommended rejection of the application back in November, they gave 4 quite separate reasons, none of which related to fire safety issues. Perhaps that was simply because they hadn't actually considered that aspect.

The DPEA generally has no issue overturning decisions at a local scale provided there is justification for doing so. The concern would be if the DPEA dismissed an appeal and the club were minded to take it to the Court of Session then the chances of success there would be slim to none. Very few decisions by the DPEA get overturned in the courts.

The attendance figure given yesterday was 2035!!!!! Ok we have been falsifying the figures now for decades but that has to be the biggest exaggeration yet that’s just embarrassing. Lucky that’s there 1000 there going by that highlights and even that’s being kind. Cue the happy clappers stating that there was constant big queues for pies etc, Season tickets are included if they were there or not patter etc. I very much doubt Mick Dundee(Caley 100) and his entourage going walkabout in the outback made that much a difference somehow. Why can’t the club be honest with the fans even with something so simple in its nature. I know lots of clubs not just ICT do this but what is the point? Baffled. Dougal
