  3. I want to take a few moments to say a huge public thank-you to 3 specific forum members who have been toiling behind the scenes to update our entire stats program during the course of the pandemic. Its mind-numbing and repetitive work but it helps us immensely. Step forward: @IBM @ictewd and last but not least @tm4tj We are now at a stage where, if you go into any of the sub-menus from the main menu items shown below, the data you are presented with should be complete. This was a truly gargantuan task with every ICT game needing to be entered, team lines a

I know a load of hearts fans that are taking up this offer and it has not been forgotten how Inverness both helped us out whilst in administration and last season when they quit rightly called out Dundee over that vote. anyway ticket purchased hope Robbo gets cramp with all the signing he has got to do in the week ahead. good-luck for the rest of the season except when playing hearts obviously.

  6. Hi there guys , although I'm a hearts fan I'm not in here to to talk about my own club or troll this forum. I'm only here to congratulate your club on there resent statement, it was not only well worded but it said everything about the dishonestly of the SPFL. Your club has proper morals, dignity and sporting integrity, this is what the majority of our 42 clubs don't have. You are a very proud club and looks to me like very proud supporters reading this thread and rightly so. Although we will be competing in the same league next season (if any) if hearts don't win it I very muc

  7. My thoughts are with Robbo and his family. Experiencing the physical and emotional trauma of this pandemic has been difficult for many people. I can appreciate how footie can provide distraction to many but I simply cant enthuse whatsoever about this season and cant wait until it is over and we are safe to battle it out again next season. I dont see the need for an interim manager as that may just cause more problems. I would be happy to leave that the "old school brigade" are capable of keeping the ship going and hopefully none of the Robbo vultures will turn on them to. So you take all

  9. A club from Inverness playing in the national league system was once a remote prospect, reaching the top tier was an even more remote prospect, reaching the League Cup final was even more remote and winning the Scottish Cuo and playing in Europe was once the remotest prospect of all. I will just be happy for our club to survive and vie for promotion next season no matter how remote that prospect might be.

You may find them disrespectful, and others may agree or disagree with those comments, but they are opinions of people who are entitled to voice their opinion whether you, I or anyone else agrees with it or not. Also, no-one has actually used the reporting mechanism that triggers a moderator discussion on a specific topic or post. In a situation like this, the typical course of action is to allow the rest of our audience to (respectfully) dis

  14. Awww shucks Scotty Yeah it was mind numbing stuff at times but great to see it all come together. IBM is now the main man for keeping our PotY poll running smoothly and EWD has been adding stats after every game plus all league scores that keep the league tables ticking over as well as completing the updating of every score since we entered the leagues, that's the one that gives us the league tables in chronological order. All this helps immensely and leaves me more time to concentrate on Previews and Reports which have been coming thick and fast this season, non stop to be honest.

  15. With apologies for the double post but given how derided they have been during the ICT careers I think it's only fair that (Brad) Mckay and Devine get some acknowledgement for their performances at the back. We have looked a lot better defensively in recent weeks and if people are going to criticise players when it's going wrong it's only fair to praise them when things are going well. Whilst players like Todorov and MacKay are, rightly, getting a lot of applause the likes of Devine and Mckay should also be included.

  16. Brilliant result for us and one that keeps our brilliant form going in to two very important league games. David Carson brilliant once again aswell as welsh and toddy. I cant believe how many people have over looked how much of a good signing danny devine has been for us this season he has played 18 leagues games losing just 3 out of 18, the 4 games that he hasnt played in we have lost 3 out of 4. His experience has helped Carson settle in to right back and also a very young back line progress. This perception that he is a bad player i just do not get at all, anyhow up th

A man is willing to give up a steady position to help us in our hour of need and this is how we thank him . I know the majority of fans will appreciate what he is doing and get behind him .I just hope he’s not reading these nasty negative comments and wants to put his coat on and head back down the road ......WHY IS ADMIN ALLOWING IT ?

  20. The football authorities, both north and south of the border, have been reminded by their respective governments to limit contact between players especially for goal and victory celebrations. I was interested to hear Derek Mcinnes among others responding by suggesting that it was unfair to expect players to do that as it was 'normal' and 'instinctive' for players for players to want to celebrate together after a goal or securing a win. Well, it's both normal and instictive for me to want to embrace my nearly 90 year old mother when I see her but I have managed to refrain from doing s

  21. Pretty pathetic the slagging our no.22 takes tbh. Brad is a decent spud having chatted with him. Brad is not Van Dijk, if he was he wouldn't be with us. He has twice signed new contracts, so he wants to be here and play for us which deserves credit. His long throw ins can be a handful for defenders, as in Storey's goal this week, Scottish Cup QF against Dundee Utd last year to name but two. So let's have more positive comments towards Brad in 2021 and leave the slagging for c**nty players lol.

  23. I could just about see the justification for disrupting the football schedule for the funeral of the monarch herself but for a consort surely today's silence followed by a similar show of respect on the day of the funeral would suffice. The death of a very elderly man is extremely sad for his family and those who knew and loved him but we have not postponed football matches for the sake of the 140 000 or so who have died in the past year or so either directly or indirectly from Covid and I am unconvinced that it is appropriate or necessary to do so next Saturday either.

  24. We are probably feeling a little disappointed not to get all 3 points today, but our recent good form makes it easy to forget what a hugely difficult and challenging season it has been for the club. Today's results mean that we are now mathematically safe from relegation. Instead, we are now very much in the mix for the promotion play-offs and have a cup match to look forward too after having deservedly beaten our Premiership neighbours. Anything more than what has been achieved already will be a real bonus. Huge congratulations to all at the club who have made this possible.

Then to support the team by bringing in an experienced interim manager. As supporters we would do well now to get behind both the management team and the players to achieve as high a league finish as possible. Keep safe and keep positive...

  28. An excellent result against potentially very difficult opposition in far from ideal weather conditions. As is usually the case in Ayr the home side started very brightly. We often find ourselves under the cosh early doors at Somerset and today was no different with the windy conditions not helping. Ayr settled quickly and were soon stroking the ball around well looking to hit Walsh and McCowan on their respective flanks. The former, well known to ICT fans of course, was the main focus as he frequently cut inside Duffy on the left flank and looked to hang balls up to the back post for team

Thanks to the Hearts fans who came up with this wonderful gesture and everyone, Hearts fan, ICT fan or no fan at all who has contributed in their own modest way. There is much to criticise in Scottish football but it is also important to give full praise and credit where it's due and it is most certainly due here.

  30. Hearts fan in peace. I'm personally awaiting 5 signed letters from Robbo. My monthly pension comes through next week, so I may very well up that to 10 letters. I'm more than happy to throw a bit of my money to ICT, if any of you check out Hearts forums, you'll know that I'm not alone. Your club is regarded by Hearts fans as being one of the good guys, the fact that your manager is a Hearts legend just adds to that feeling. My ideal scenario for this season is that we carry on and win the league, and you guys can also win promotion through the play-offs, you have a lot of games in hand

  32. I'm actually stunned that 1) I missed this disgraceful comment; and 2) no one else has called it out. At a time when mental health is such an important topic and people are being encouraged to speak out if they are struggling, now that someone with a relatively high profile in Scottish football has broached this sensitive issue (and received praise for doing so) you want to use it against him and try and have him leave the club? That's completely and utterly appalling. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that maybe you didn't mean to phrase it quite that way but if you truly belie

  33. Devastating news. Deepest condolences to his family and friends. An integral part of the club since the very beginning. Agree that his passing should be acknowledged at our next match. It should also be marked again, probably by a minute's applause at the next home game when a full cohort of fans are permitted back into the stadium. I am sure that there are very very many who would wish to show appreciation in person for all the work he has done for no personal reward over the last quarter of a century and more.

  37. I'm not sure exactly what folk expect Robbo to accomplish. His first season back was a write-off because he inherited an absolute clusterf*** of a club and its remarkable that we came so close to a playoff spot. Last season we finished third, behind two teams who had enormous budgets in comparison to us. And this season we finished second, behind one team with an enormous budget (United) and ahead of another (Dundee). He's also managed to turn Chalmers, Donaldson, McCart, Rooney and White (and possibly Walsh and Trafford) into Premiership players. Ig you'd said that when these guy

My late father was a staunch Clach fan as a result of which I probably spent more time in Grant Street than was healthy in the late 60s and early 70s and Charlie was a firm favourite. I am sure that the whole Inverness football community would wish to send condolences to his family and friends.

  42. Let’s put tonight in context. A Championship team that has struggled against teams like Alloa this season was drawn away to a Premiership team that has beaten the reigning Scottish Champions twice this season. Only one team played well. Only one team deserved to win. Only one team looked like the best team in the Highlands. Only one team looked like the Premiership team. Which team? The wonderful Inverness Caledonian Thistle. If we make the play offs, tonight showed we have nothing to fear Happy Easter all! Onwards and (hopefully) upwards.

A wee bit of positive news, I hope - Andy and his team (who do the highlights filming from the A9 side of the ground) invited me along on Saturday to act as the 'commentator' for a test run of their new software which allows them to live stream the game with those cameras with some graphics (not Sky Sports-esque, but still pretty decent looking) and also run instant replays of incidents as part of the live coverage. They even set up a monitor so I could actually see the stream and the replays during commentary. Everything seemed to work great and as far as I can tell there's no rea

  46. I couldn't care less about the stadium aesthetics or bushes. That won't bring back fans. The match day experience will. At the moment its a souless experience for all involved with fans and sometimes players just going through the motions. Atmosphere doesn't just happen. Sometimes it needs a bit of a nudge. Regarding the stands. It's the chicken and egg stuff the Gardiner was talking about. We need to attract fans first and foremost. Increasing the number of home fans provides a consistent increased revenue. Away fans are then a bonus, not a necessity.

  47. Even before the pandemic struck I was concerned by the fact that we were increasingly struggling to make full time football work in it's conventional way on dwindling financial resources. Part time football was and remains an obvious destination but that is far from ideal and would make it all but impossible to get back to the top tier in the short of even medium term. A combination of full time and part time seemed a much better solution but, although we have had part time players in full time squads in the past, Jimmy Calder and Paul Ritchie notably come to mind, that is very diffi

This time is all about survival and I can see a number of teams collapsing. I couldn't give a feck who is in the team or who is on the bench.

  49. Ah come on, Robbo has won me over and basically because he gets the best out of what he has! To say he's a failure is pathetic, his first year he ended 5th, only a point behind the last play off place, last season, only County and Utd were ahead of us and this season, only Utd and they were miles ahead. Add the cup quarters, semis and challenge cup final he has got us too, one thing he certainly isn't, is a failure! As for rebuilding, I also disagree with that as only a 2-3 players have left.

    • St Mirren 2-1 Inverness CT - Scottish Cup - Report
Saints go marching on: Inverness took the game to their Premiership opponents from the off and there were plenty of opportunities for both sides, but Jak Alnwick was the busier keeper with Ridgers also making a couple of good saves. Scott Allan saw a shot brilliantly tipped onto the outside of the post after a great run by Carson and Dennis had an effort deflected onto Ridgers's crossbar near the interval. We were heading for extra time when Marcus Fraser popped up almost on the line to stab home after Jon Obika had hit the post. When the ball came back in from the left Fraser was on hand to tap in. Sutherland, twice almost rescued the tie but was unfortunate with both attempts. Great effort from Inverness and good luck to St Mirren in the next round

A bit of light relief this weekend as Scottish Cup action takes centre stage. It's off to Paisley to face St Mirren in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup at St Mirren Park, or the Simple Digital Arena or even the SMISA Stadium, whatever cranks yer handle. Well it would have taken centre stage had the Duke of Edinburgh not taken his leave of this earth. With his funeral kicking-off at 3:00pm all Scottish Cup ties have been moved from the traditional kick-off slots and we find ourselves heading to Paisley for an early Friday night start at 6:00pm.

    • Queen of the South 1-1 Inverness CT - Report
Tight as a ducks erse: This crucial game ended in stalemate as did the entire Championship fixture list. In a tight first half both keepers had saves to make with Ridgers probably the busier. Queens opened the scoring on the hour when the defence allowed Fitzpatrick to run forty yards unchallenged to fire high past Ridgers. Toddy levelled minutes later from a Storey cross, heading down into the bottom corner for his tenth goal this season. No further scoring with Inverness finishing the game on top but unable to get the winner.

Can we be King of Queens? Down to the nitty gritty now and another crucial game ahead as we travel to Palmerston Park Dumfries for what is the start of the proverbial six-pointers with only four games left in the Championship. Queens on Saturday at 3:00pm, our sixth away game out of the last seven, then Dundee (H), Hearts (A), Ayr United (H). It's a difficult closing run to the season when you consider our immediate target, Dunfermline, close out the season against bottom teams Arbroath and Alloa. As the table stands, we are only three points ahead of Queens going in to this game and they still have a game in hand.

    • Morton 1-4 Inverness CT - Report
HOT TODDY SCORES A PEACH: This crucial week kicked off at Cappielow and despite the condition of the pitch Inverness managed to score twice in the first half. We benefitted from what looked like an infringement for a pass back seven minutes before the break. Scott Allardice lashed the ball high into the net after much confusion and two minutes later Nikolay Todorov turned in the box to lash the ball into the net after some defensive bloopers. Two up at the break but the next goal could be important and it was Muirhead that gave Morton some hope. However Todorov superbly volleyed home after chesting down the ball to restore our two goal cushion and Danny Mackay scored a tremendous fourth with a curling shot from the edge of the box. Back up to third for Inverness with Dundee also winning at Ayr.
