Think it's time for Danny to accept that things haven't worked out for him at ICT. Seen him play several times for the 20s & first team and have never been impressed. He's nowhere near good enough for SPFL Premiership in my opinion. Would rather see the likes of Christie, Polworth or Pepper start before him.

This continuation of playing more than two players out of their usual position is something we have done for years due to our small squad and tends also to coincide with a downturn in form. Do we not have competition for each position in the starting eleven, surely this was what our previous management team had dealt with during the summer?

Definitely better out wide. Get Raven back in and give Christie a chance to see what he can do.

The 2-year contract-extension shows he's clearly an integral part of the manger's thinking. I hope he utilises him 'appropriately'!

I think you'll find that most people are less frustrated about Williams' own ability and are more so on the fact that he's being played out of position and is clearly not suited to it.

I agree with that. The boy looks a great prospect when played out wide.

Can't comment on his ability out wide because I've only seen him as a holding midfielder - a role that doesn't suit him! It looks like he has a good touch (in flashes) and JH obviously rates him, so let's see what he can fdo out wide......please?!

Showed promise in pre season as a left winger. Only had 1 start in that position.

Which usually translates as "trying to get a better offer from elsewhere".  Not that you could blame him for considering his options.

Can't blame him. Should have been sorted out earlier. Now we've given him more opportunity to talk to other clubs.

Maybe he's had it for ages for all we know? Contract stuff tends to be done quietly, as it should be IMO....

Draper only wanted a 1 year deal in the summer, family are still down South, homesickness etc. In many ways he has hedged his bets. It wouldnt surprise me to see this drag out for a while. He may stay but I think he see's his long term future back down south...I say that, he will probably end up at Hibs at the end of the season...

Why are some people so intent in reading negatives into everything?

 

Player are given offers and often mull them over for a few weeks, speak to agents, family etc. before making any decision.

Think Draper will be signing up shortly.

Goal aside, Williams best perfomance in an ICT shirt IMO. Top marks
