Read on BBC teletext this afternoon that Ryan Stevenson will miss semi of league cup so that is good news as he'd have been a threat to us.

I was initially, very briefly, a little miffed that Hearts had managed to engineer this but I now really could care less. Playing St Mirren before it gives them less time to prepare anyway. Hearts ar

Am I the only one who's not looking to this semi-final at all and is rather worried of an upset?

Nothing to do with his suspension but he really has awful tattoos.  He looks like a complete mink.

Also on sportsound tonight that if Slatcel comes in at end of month he won't be cleared in time for SF.

RiG will be relieved by this news - he's probably still traumatised by Stevenson making sexually provocative gestures at him during our last win at Tynecastle.

Was that not Jamie Hamill?

That was Jamie Hamill.

Ryan Stevenson looks like the kind of person who'd shag your wife and steal your microwave.

Ah. Yeah, come to think of it, you might be right about that. Obviously I must just think that Stevenson looks like the sort of person that would make sexually provocative gestures at an innocent, impressionable young supporter.

So Ryan Stevenson is an overinked beaut, poor lad has been labelled on this forum bwahahahahahahahahahahhahaha  :stir:

After last season's semi cup tie, I certaintly won't be taking anything for granted and I'm sure the team will be of the same mind. But I do think the team we will be highly motivated and determined to get to the final. If they play to their potential then Hearts will need to play out of their skins.

Yip task for Hughes is the trying too hard syndrome, team has to have that under control. Think we have got over it though.

He is never going to shag anyone if he can't even make a semi. I am also becoming increasingly nervous. To me Stevenson is their best motivator and would die for the jersey. He was the biggest threat. This is all going too well !!

Its very easy for a team to become complacent when the other team is missing players, just look at Saturdays game at Aberdeen. We were missing 3 or 4 first team players but the ones that came in performed admirably

Would be unwise to gain confidence from Stevenson being out so i'm still approaching this game the way I would have had Stevenson been fit.

Can't take anything for granted in this semi - total concentration required, whatever 11 Hearts put out. I'd much prefer us to be the underdog....

A draw would create real tensions at the end of extra time!!

Pleeeeeeeeeease NO! Couldn't cope with that again

Makes me more nervous rather than glad. Initially it sounds like good news, just dont wanna be complacent.

Hopefully we have learned from last year's game and bear this in mind.  We must take our chances this time.

I see Hearts have scheduled their game with St Mirren for next week meaning Stevenson can play in the semi final.

Typical! This has been done deliberately to free up Stevenson for the semi-final!

The sting in the tail... Keep in mind all the tough Caley players he has to get past before he gets anywhere near scoring.

Warren, Meekings ,Shinnie , Tremarco , and Deano.to name but a few .Better the devil we know.....
