  1. Took place today mate. We won 3-1. Raven hat trick and he also scored an own goal. Adams complained that every goal was offside so Butcher headbutted him.
  2. this seems oddly appropriate now !!!!

Accounts posted for the financial year to the end of May show that we are back in profit for the first time in seven years. Turnover is up, now in excess of £3,700,000 and costs are down. Well done to all at the TCS for pulling of the difficult juggling act of bringing continuing success on the pitch whilst maintaining financial prudence off it. Just think what we could achieve if an additional thousand or so apathetic Invernessians could be persuaded away from the delights of Eastgate and the Retail Park for a couple of hours once a fortnight.
  4. MacGregor was very quick to blame the rain for the floodlight failures. Presumably this is to pre-empt legitimate claims by fans of both sides who will have travelled hundreds of miles to get to the game, taken annual leave, paid for accommodation etc. Fair enough if the fog rolls in or the snow is heavy but when it is a failure of the infrastructure of the club then there must be more liablilty on behalf of the club. It will be interesting to hear what the "investigation" turns up but one fact is certain, the amount of rain that fell on Dingwall in the last 24 hours was nothing exceptional and cannot be used as an excuse. Salt rather rubbed in to the wounds on the way home when you looked back to Dingwall to see the floodlights blazing. Full marks to the caley fans with an instant chant of "forever in our Shadow" the moment the stadium was plunged into darkness!
  5. I am reliably informed that the Adams family are looking to the experience of one of their relatives to sort this all out.
  6. I have long suspected that, sooner or later, Derek Adams would seethe so much he would blow a fuse.
  7. Global Energy Stadium = No Energy Stadium! What a joke County are - and an embarrassment to the Highlands. Scratch the surface and they are just a Highland League outfit with ideas above their station. Meantime the stage was set for another fine three points for ICT. Atmosphere was good. County started with all guns blazing (plastic ones, not real ones) but soon ran out of steam as the superior big city club started to take control of the game. Then they switched on the microwaves for the half time pies and the lights went out......................... Will get them next time!!
  8. Dear Santa, Please may I have some new floodlights (and a keeper) (and a left back) (and a new coat) love Derek x x

I thought that tremarco played amazing yesterday, sproule tried about 5/6 times to get past him and he won the ball every time. Great to know that we have that option but where was dave the rave?
  10. Trust in us - your future is bright.
  11. Stumbled across this gem on the County site. ".....inevitably fans attention is already turning to the next home match, as local rivals Inverness Caledonian Thistle travel to Dingwall on Friday the 25th of October. Over the years Victoria Park has earned a fantastic reputation for the atmosphere generated under the floodlights, and the first ever Friday night Derby to be played at the league's most Northerly ground is sure to be a particularly special occasion for all football fans." http://www.rosscountyfootballclub.co.uk/news/staggies-prepare-for-killie-caley.aspx
  12. Do you think the SPFL will trust County with an evening game? Saturday 16th of November would be ideal date! Em Im not so sure? Do we want to play without Billy Mckay?

Both Tremarco and Watkins gave credible displays in the 45 minutes they played. Its good to know we have that shuffling option should we need it.

Yeah, it's good to have seen Tremarco showing up well in a competitive game. Although, bizarrely his record will show that he's still to make his debut for us! For all intents and purposes, the game wasn't played. Which is why I'm baffled that the bookings incurred by Warren and Draper in the 45 minutes 'played' still stand!

Injured, recurrence of last one seemingly.
  16. Well, he certainly meant Nick Ross for insulting the keeper with his mishit effort. The other one might have been Doran for failing to repeat the corner variation from last week's match.
  17. I can confirm that heavy rain caused an electrical failure in the Dingwall area tonight cof.
  18. Evidence of Global Energy tampering prior to the game :
  19. Well that was an excellent workout, interesting performance too from ICT, all that lacked though was finishing we really have to sharpen up on that. Doran used the narrow pitch much better than a lot of us anticipated just his final ball across was not up to his usual standard. Watkins worked hard throughout and is almost certain to become a regular starter. Graham played as a strong right back, just not as good a supplier as Raven but at least we know Graham can fill that spot satisfactorily when required. Tremarco and the rest of the defence were also sound as was the midfield to a slightly lesser extent . Oor billy didn't manage to get enough space, he was hemmed in most of the time and never really managed to make his usual impact. Ross, good running into threatening positions but hasn't really found his scoring touch yet. Foran was Foran worked hard but broke down a few of our best moves as usual unfortunately. Still he makes up for it in other ways most of the time. Pity about the lights going out as I do believe we would have got the goals in the second half. At least it saved my forecast from going completely up the spout. What happens about the yellow cards??
  20. Thought Tremarco looked the part and it was teeing up to be a good game until the leccy ran oot!
  21. So disappointed, thought we could of gone of to win! But I suppose County definetely are Forever In Our Shadows!

Whilst managing to turn a profit is fairly remarkable in itself, you also have to look at the balance sheet which has improved by near £300k. That's the truest indication of the clubs improved financial position. Taking everything together, what we see is that not only is the club operating within it's means on a day to day basis, it's still attracting capital investment. We've been told before that the boards aim after our relegation season was to get the club back to a position where it had £1 Million in the bank, and the accounts show that the plan is working and things are headed in the right direction. That's two years running now where I'll have nothing to moan about at the AGM....I'm no happy!!!
  24. Roberts goal wasn't half bad (37 seconds in).
