  1. As a loyal caley fan I was completely mortified at our fans singing about brittains wife jumping off the kessock bridge. Having a newborn baby Is hard enough without depression. This girl has been through hell and as a mother I cannot imagine sitting at a football match listening to mindless idiots singing about my personal and very difficult circumstances. Shame on you all !
  2. Im not one usually to take offence. I think the world has gone too soft on petty things, like the throwing about of the term racism and bigot everywhere. BUT, i do think that singing about a mother who is struggling with the birth of a baby is in very bad taste. mabye these dickheads who were singing about it, will go thro it in years to come....and we will see how amusing it is then!
  3. Personally I thought we were back to our usual fast paced, direct style of play tonight rather than the slower, short passing game that was on show in recent fixtures. Maybe Hughes was trolling us all this week to sucker Adams in?
  4. Great performance all round last night. My MOTM goes to Dave the Rave... if only that volley had gone in! Imagine the #Scenes. Brilliant atmosphere generated by the fans as as well. The Mallard was strengely quiet pre match. I think a lot of fans were dreading this one. But the players delivered and now they deserve a well earned rest. Could have and should have been more goals. Just listened to Adams interview. What a seething mess. You're going down with the Jambos!
  5. What did Charlie say? Basically that Adams was havering and ICT were the better team 'by a mile'.
  6. People often talk about Mckay, Doran et al being targets for Butcher and others, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were more likely to go for the likes of Ryan Christie. Quite simply, we need to tie him on a long term deal NOW. That guy has a heck of a lot of talent and I really believe he will one day play for this country. Get him signed up for the next four years at least IMO.
  7. There were two Adams interviews, one with a woman on BBC Sport right after the game and one with Jim Spence. The Spence one is the most cringeworthy if you're a Cownty fan. It's true Tremarco could have gone, if you compare it to Tansey's red against Utd. Watkins should never have been booked in the first minute, he clearly just collided with Broony. Also clear that Shinnie never kicked Kiss, he kicked the ball, and it wasn't high, Kiss put his head down. Unlike the equaliser when Arquin was in orbit and should have been penalised and the flukey goal from Kiss disallowed. If Tremarco hadn't deflected it, Brill would probably have stopped it, identical to the first one at the New Year when Scotty Boyd scored. Also looked a penno for me when Watkins had his ankles tapped.

You were spotted IHE - that wig's fooling nobody!
  9. Just had a chance to read some of these comments. What an utter seethe fest. I was happy with the appointment (he was actually my 3rd choice behind Csaba and Shiels) and definately in my preferred candidates list. There's been many poor results / performances that have coincided with a ridiculous build up of games. However, I do believe we would have had more points in the bag if we had played a more direct style. This is dissapointing, and I do feel that perhaps Yogi has started to stamp his mark at the wrong moment. During a back log of fixtures when we are chasing Europe is not ideal, and it has cost us valuable points. However, leave it too late to practise this style in competitive games and it could lead to a disastrous start next season. So I am in two minds. He's started implementing his style and he's asked us for patience to get his new system working. Therefore, that is what i'm going to do - be patient. I believe the majority of the players are happy to try it and he has the support of the dressing room. Therefore he deserves the chance to try it. All this chat about 'educating' players was perhaps badly worded. I assume he means that it will take time for the players to learn / adapt to his style. Yogi believes it will work, the players are on board so I am willing to wait and see. If it all goes tits up, then at least we have a good squad in place if he needs to change style. Last night was excellent. There was some very neat passing play and it was a pleasure to watch. The players will be glad of the rest now so hopefully we can line up with a similar formation after the split. If we line up regularly with a similar formation as last night, and with the high quaility of players we have, then Yogi could potentially be a long term success at the club.
  10. Some interesting comments from Mckay in the Press and Journal today. Sounds like a plea to retain wingers in the side to give him chances. "Having Watkins and Doran in was a big help as they gave us good width and both of them played really well tonight. They helped me focus on my own game of getting into the box."
  11. It was my birthday yesterday and I wished for a win...I got it Tactically perfect (how refreshing), Shinnie in the holding role proved shrewd. While the welcome return of wingers worked well. Watkins and Doran were top notch. For me though pick of the bunch is Tansey, he controlled the middle of the park. Hardly put a foot wrong and was unlucky not to bag a goal. His best game since his return so far. Chuffed for Billy, finished well and was so unlucky with the chip, he would have deserved it. This was such a great end to whats been a miserable week. Now all we need to do is play like this against everyone else. On wards and upwards from here I hope.
  12. what a result that was. Every player was superb. Man of the match for me was Greg Tansey - controlled the game from start to finish. Hopefully that will shut some negative people on this forum up for a while!
  13. Just in from the game and what a game it was! All players involved had a tremendous game and have much more fight and desire than Ross County did. Credit to John Hughes for playing two wingers tonight and what an absolute joy it was to have Aaron Doran back in the side. Marley Watkins played superb tonight and pretty much turned Ross County 'Greek God' inside out. The most thing I was happy about with tonight is that we were playing narrow and wide. There was another thread today and I went on to say that we need the happy medium of both narrow and wide - tonight I felt we got that. I really can't wait to see Aaron Doran's goal again. ICT love a good goal outside the box these days! After restarting the second half and we conceded, I was thinking back to the St Mirren game and mindful of the Motherwell game only being a mere 3 days ago, I said to 'Old Caley Girl' "I don't think we are going to score again" couple minutes later Billy Mckay pops up and scores a brilliant goal. I was left with egg on my face but I don't care because ICT got the three points tonight and deservedly so! Listen, tonight was really good and the fans were superb as always. We totally outsang Ross County for 90 mins tonight, let's keep up this unity because end of the day the players are fighting tooth and nail every game and they deserve this. Let's get rid of the Yogi bashing and push the team forward for the fourth spot and possibly enter Europe via the back door. Superb tonight, great 2-1 win, also not forgetting it's 2-1 in the series of Highland Derbies too! Down with the Jambos! :ictscarf:

In my opinion....if not for Kenny Cameron we could easily (if we were lucky to avoid going bust) be playing part-time football in the (now) 2nd division.
  15. But I would take the responsibility becos I am one of the most law abiding, politically correct, mature and righteous individual in our support.
  16. This needs to be stamped out now, I would imagine that people know who was involved in this, name them. I will be asking for a ticket next to the singing section at the next game in Dingwall, and I will 'self police' if this happens again. If people think something like this is wrong, people should take action If in the unlikely event these people every manage to form a relationship with the opposite sex and actually persuade someone to let them reproduce I sincerely hope this never have to suffer this terrible illness.
  17. song was a total disgrace we don't need it - obviously the content -pathetic-plus the tune is associated with the blue half of the old firm- we do not want to have any link with them! apart from this it was a great atmosphere that we should be trying to keep up- lets drop the crap and keep the noise!

The next U20 home game is Tuesday 8th of April vs Hearts. The game is back at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium with a 6pm kick off.
  19. There is nothing positive about vile insensitive personal abuse of this nature. Racist comments were once considered 'football banter'. Thankfully, that attitude has long since been consigned to history. High time this sort of thing went the same way.
  20. I agree totally with Frizzle I was near enough to hear exactly what was being sung and it was absolutely disgusting also Richard Brittain was within earshot and responded with a thumbs up gesture to these numbskulls. It was embarrassing to be associated with them. Anyone who is flippant about this is no better than these idiots .Ok it was only a few but enough to be heard and in my view one is one too many . There have been ill judged songs before but to aim at someone with the problems that Richard Brittains wife has is as about as low as you can stoop .You know who you are and you can all hang your heads in shame.
  21. Credit to Hughes for making changes and they worked a treat! Simply, we're a better team playing wingers and using, not a long ball approach, but attacking with direct forward passing on the deck. Mckay is a far better player with tricky wingers either side of him. I can understand Hughes wanting to play passing football, but what we did tonight is the way to go, and not actually that different to what Hughes wants. We kept the ball well and moved it forward into dangerous positions, not passing it around our own box and back the way. That's what we all want to see. I'm not quite sure Vincent is 100% sharp yet and I'd like to see Christie start next time in behind Mckay and also having Tansey press a bit more, but other than that, a great performance. We've always been a better team playing that way and credit to Hughes for implementing it.
  22. Great passing game by ICT tonight with a tremendous will to win. Great football match to watch and we rightly won. Our players now have two weeks to freshen up and bounce back.
  23. Some hilarious diving from County tonight, that Cikos clown actually screams as he goes down, what a rocket. Good performances all round. Raven man of the match for me, great shift down the right flank. Tremarco likewise, he was first to every ball and full of running. Can't fault the gaffer tonight. Two wins on the bounce at Victoria Park is no mean feat.

Confused.com I applied to become Andy Murrays new coach, I know hes been doing fine of late but advised him to drop the power serves and to continually chip and charge. With a bit of educating and bit of learning he can be as good as Tim Henman.
  26. Police probably didn't step in because no one complained that they found it offensive at the time. I would have found it so, but would have taken the IHE line and robustly asked them to desist. There is a long history of this type of chant, from Man City fans mocking Munich, Man Utd fans mocking Hillsborough to songs about Tommy Burn's cancer and Norrie MacAthie of Dunfermline's death. They are calculated to provoke and prompt a reaction from opposing fans, and there's nothing personal with regards to Mr Brittain's wife in this. Depression is a serious illness, but these laddies don't see that. It ain't funny, it didn't provoke a reaction and your fellow fans abhor it. So just stop it.
  27. Ivan Lendl is an ersehole who ruined Andy Murray ? And we should have contacted Gardiola ? And Rod Petrie should have won Chairman of the Year ?
  28. go for it I'm right behind you.
  29. - and I've never been happier, darling.
  30. Not happy with the recent results but not the first time we have had such a bad run and unfortunately will not be the last but with 5 games to go I feel we will be at least 4th cometh the endeth - amen brotheren and sisteren ;-)
  31. Just watched the game and it was just like watching Barcelona.
  32. Jhesus what does he have to do ? Please all write 100 times - Terry Butcher fecked up our season. John Hughes took on a job that was always going to be difficult. If we had been awarded a stonewall late penalty we would have won a cup. Hughes will be counted for next season.
  33. That has to be one of the best games I've witnessed. Good honest attacking play and everyone giving their all. The squad deserve their break wherever they're headed today.
  34. I don't think we should get carried away. Cownty are not a good side at the mo and we can beat them and their whingeing, ungracious wee nyaff of a manager any day of the week. In fact I think our promotion side of 2004 would beat them too, standards have dropped in the SPL in 10 years. The five games coming up are all against teams that have given us a lesson this season so I'm not sure yogi will be any more adventurous against them. So yogi has a 100% record against wee seethydrawers, who'd a thunk it
  35. The content of the song is very difficult to look past .Its an individuals opinion . This took the shine of an otherwise brilliant night and the fans were exceptional best atmosphere for weeks .The result was the icing on the cake I agree we must not let a few idiots spoil the occasion but their idiocy and ignorance should be dealt with.
  36. Depends what you call positive .I call stamping out this disgusting behaviour is positive . Are you sure it was you who started this thread?? .Im not so sure.
  37. Watched the match on BT so it was not clear what was being sung. If what you say is true then the perpetuators should be singled out and put out! The behaviour of some of these young men and children is a disgrace that does nothing for our reputation. I have watched, along with stewards and police, as the mob chant/sing foul and abusive phrases but nothing is done. I know we need to keep our numbers up but do we really want these people in our ranks? neksor
  38. Yogi = 2 wins in Dingwall Gonzo = 0 Hartley = 0 Barcelona = 0 Madrid (both teams) = 0 Inter = 0 Bayern = 0 Liverpool = 0 Simples! Yogi must stay!
  39. I love Tremarco. No nonsense defender! Allows Shinnie to play attacking football which he's good at!
  40. Watched the game on BT Sport and I was very impressed. I read Yogis post match interview on the BBC which he makes reference to the games at County and Aberdeen where we ripped them apart and won quite comfortably. Now in each occasion we played with width even though the County game was a 4-4-2 which must tell yogi that he used two different systems in our two best performances of his tenure and yet they both worked because it had width, pace and drive. I said on another thread that if a passing game is what he wants then brilliant but the Barca ticka tacka i find boring compared to the more direct and fast paced Bayern. I would rather see games like tonight where we play with width and drive into that space then try and pass pass pass in congested areas with no room to go so fair play to Yogi. I know most people are gunning for him but he isn't stupid and surely he must watch recent performances (if he dares) and then watches tonight he must surely keep this from now one. But enough of Yogi and the past month it has been done to death tonight was great. Adams has no case for penalty and the disallowed goal looked offside in both phases of the play so they dot have a leg to stand on. Tremarco was lucky even though he got the ball which may have saved him but the amount of chances we created was great to see and hopefully we play like that until the end of the season i am sure we keep ST J of our backs and maybe pinch 4th which we know may still give us a European chance.
  41. There's only one 10CC, you tell that whinging barsteward. I was willing that interviewer to say "well, Derek, the pictures show that Shinnie actually played the ball. Why don't you just shut your cakehole?" As for Kiss, what a waste of space. Trying to get Shinnie booked after a fairly innocuous foul in midfield.
  42. Yes, a pathetic post match interview by Adams. Not outwardly seething, but complaining as usual. Although I agree with him that the Shinnie incident was inside the box, Shinnie clearly kicked the ball on to the county player's head. It should not have been even a free kick, and certainly not a yellow. Referee was poor all night (some of it in our favour mind you!)
  43. Someone please play the interview with Adams back to him now the game is over .... 4 goals Deek? really?
  44. BT Sports. Why didn't i check that earlier Oh well, at least i got to see County equalising....
  45. Definitely deserve to be in front. We've created several half chances and Mark Brown has had to be on good form. As good a goal as I've seen in a long time! And what a strike from Tansey just before. There have been a few tasty tackles and Tremarco could have walked for that one. The tippy tappy football has been mostly ok to be honest. I don't mind it if we keep it going forwards. Its the unnecessary back passes that drive me crazy. Anyway, lads, same again in the second half please and we'll be happy.
  46. He was awarded Chairman of the Year for overseeing the prudent financial stewardship of the club. There may have been an error in the managerial appointment but that much has not changed.
  47. Well at least John Hughes has a vision of how he wants his team to play, albeit one which is contrary to the other sides in the SPFL. Who knows It could be the way to go, it is just the getting there that has us all so worried and het up. Maybe his system can work, maybe it is the way ahead, maybe where he has failed with other teams is because the clubs he had could/would not give him the full chance to develop. A lot of us have had our say about how he should be going about managing our side and what system he should be using. I include myself in this when I say what right do we really have to tell him what to do.........none really, we can just voice our wrath, outrage or expectations. .......Yes we do this because we think the side is being damaged.........We do not know however if given full backing whether or not this man could bring a successful freshness to the Scottish game... It is the unknown and the fear of failure that makes us protest so strongly .................should we not back off and give him a real chance to achieve ? Cast your minds back to the ''Butcher madness'' outcry, getting rid of all the favourite players in one fell swoop...........disastrous ?!!.... no .....the new ICT emerged and showed us just how right he was in bringing in the new regime. Took some time to settle and do the business but it did do the business until we became predictable and other sides sussed us out. Hughes has a wider spectrum of the game than Butcher and shows more willingness to try different options. I for one do not want him sacked so early in his arrival here.............. give the man a right real go at it.
