  4. LOL! There's a real 'dynamic' on this forum between ICTRoughi & caleydawson - it's always 'tit-for-tat'!

  5. Italy, Uruguay and Costa Rica. I admire the craft of Italy's midfield play-maker, Pirlo; the goalscoring prowess of Uruguay's Suarez and I particularly enjoy the coffee from Costa Rica. It's ironic that the three of them have ended up in the same group!

  6. I have noticed that over the months/ years plenty of time is spent on this website writing this that or the other, to post something only to find that it dissappears into the depths of time, perhaps some of the time could be spent on the site in a more productive and proactive way. Plenty of people have plenty of ideas about what should be done by others, has anyone thought about how they could actually make their ideas happen. For starters are there any graphic designers out there who would take Pride in their designs being on display or being worn. If you Believe that the queue in the bar is too long and your a regular, perhaps you could become a volunteer for 10 mins and pour drinks, or work out a rota, amongst only 5 people, thats helping out 3-4 times in the whole season, which is only once every 3 months for 10 mins work and you really would be a saviour, imagine being the one who helps save the day by getting rid of all those awful queues. Or perhaps 2 on for the big games, your call though. Maybe you could Achieve something by starting up a local supporters club, its early days and for now its all about getting names and forms of contact, CJT said they can hold the info on their database. So theres not really a lot of time taken up. If you take in a few pounds per member, once you have say 20 you can warrant getting your own flag. The above should take up very little time but if you take that first step, you will all be super stars. How about the ICT fans continually punching above our weight.

  8. I agree with your post Smee! Too many whingers for my liking. I keep meaning to post the conversation I had with some Aberdeen fans in a Glasgow pub after the LC final! They reminded me that their own team came from a merger with 2 local clubs (albeit not a bitter one) and it took some 40 odd years for them to get to a major final so we should be happy & proud that we did it in 20. I don't even think Aberdeen were in the top division either?? Top 6 and a cup final is a great season for us but I would happily give that away if we managed to increase and maintain a larger fan base. Glory is nothing if you don't have the fans to witness it.

  9. I think it's pretty obvious the "attendance" is not the actual number in attendance which is far lower in some cases. Is that not misleading folk? For example, Sunday's game there were fewer than 100 St J fans in an "attendance" of 3121. The main stand wings were empty so there were over 3000 home fans sitting in about 4300 seats? Nearly 3/4 full? Don't think so. I understand there are commercial reasons for doing this and we are far from being the only club to inflate the attendance figure, but it is getting a bit embarrassing. Maybe just announce it as "tickets sold" or something instead?

  15. The club will be most generous in their praise for any fan who is willing to hand over a very big cheque to accomplish all this. With crowds very low for an SPL team where is all the money goingt o come from?
    1 point
  16. Sorry but Cameron is kidding himself if he really thinks the Home crowds haven't dropped. There are definitely fewer people in the Home end these days. Sadly the club just can't seem to win. People in Inverness it seems would rather sit in Auctioneers waiting on Rangers -2 coming in every Saturday than go to a game of football.

  17. Could we also close down the betting forum as I don't enjoy them? Mind you, I don't look at them for that very reason. Maybe there's a lesson to be learnt there?

  19. I think cost may be an issue for some but I'm not convinced it's as big as that. I think prices compare with a trip to the cinema etc when everything is added in. The football is our leisure activity in our family so we tend to do the cinema, bowling etc rarely. I think the family section is a great deal for those with young children and there are finance packages available to spread the cost. It is a big jump in cost when they reach 12 or 16 I know but at least there are still concessions available. The club do on the day deals on a regular basis but I do know the take up is generally poor! I really feel these numbers are down to away crowds and fixture manipulation. I will concede there probably is a drop in home fans attending as well. IMO attending football is a habit. It's easy to get out of the habit and go and do other things at the weekend unfortunately for the club. I do worry about the sustainability for the future however. I could pay for 2 adults AND 2 kids, to go Ice Skating, on a saturday afternoon, for 2.5 hours, for about £3-4 CHEAPER thn it would cost just ONE adult to get the cheapest seat at TCS!!! I could take that same family of 4 to the Cinema, in the afternoon, for a pound or two more than what it would cost just me to get the cheapest seat in the house at TCS! Football is a RIP OFF....plain and simple. I find my season tickets much better value than cinema etc. as I said its a matter of choosing where youspend your money. I've never got a family ticket cheaper than £22 at the cinema....tho £23.20 for a family of 4 on a saurday afternoon to get into the cinema. i think the cheapest ticket for ONE adult at TCS is £21 For 2 adults and 2 under 12s you'd be about £24 a game for the four of you in the family section with season tickets. So much the same really. Not everyone has kids under 12, who would ONLY qualify for that price you quoted if the family were rich enuff to be able to fork out for two adult season tickets!!! So a fairer comparrison would be 2 x adult tickets for footie, in amily section = £32, plus two junior tickets=£14......so all in all.....£46 Without you stating how old these theoretical kids are it's not really possible to make an absolute like for like comparison. However according to Vue a family of 4 ticket price is for a minimum of 2 children and a child according to their website is a 2-12 year old, so my original comparison seems totally fair. ETA- Forgot to mention a family ticket on a Saturday afternoon is £27.20 at the cinema, as it's a peak time, not £23.20. http://www.myvue.com/cinemas/ticket-prices/cinema/inverness I'm obviously looking at season tickets are they are the most financially prudent way to go to games. If you are 'rich' and bought 2 adult and 2 Jnr STs in the family section and paid them up over 10 months it's about £69 a month or about £35 a game, much cheaper than buying at the gate. If every penny's a prisoner then an uncovered family ST (1 adult & 2 jnrs) is £200 no idea how much for an extra adult, as it doesn't state that but lets say it's £100. So £300 all in for 2 kids/jnrs & 2 adults that's under £16 a game for everyone. Granted uncovered isn't ideal but if cost is the primary issue and driver and you have older kids then it's an option. Im talking about a family of 4....2 adults and two kids....walking in off the street to watch an ICT game. Even if the Cinema charges £27.20 for sat afternoon movies (i have never paid that price) its still £19 cheaper than the equivalent package for 4 at an ICT game And then, as i mentioned, a family of 4 can go skating for 2.5 hrs on a sat afternoon for near £30 cheaper than they can go to an ICT game. The thing is tho Smee most families don't do the walk in off the street? Most see the value of of a ST with monthly payments for those that need to spread the payments. I suspect most that come as a one off come as part of a school group or a deal?

  22. In light of revealing our new sponsor, a couple of kits I wouldn't mind seeing being made our own. Stupidly simple and in distant hope that Subway were to use their logo minus the slogan, I'de be more than happy with either home kit. Based on current season templates though and assuming we're remaining with Errea.

  24. We don't need any new keepers. We don't need any new defenders. We don't need any new midfielders. We need one, maybe two more strikers, preferably one being a taller one. We could maybe do with one player with electric pace (Greenhalgh?). That's about it.

Administration pending, unless... How can we go from SupercaleygoballisticCelticareatrocious in the year 2000, to Scottish Cup Winners in 2015, playing in Europe and just 9 years after lifting the Cup; Administration. Mismanagement and our demise was hastened by the appointment of Scot Gardiner. Ever since then, ludicrous decision making has seen our stock plummet whilst 'shady' dealings were investigated. The failed Concert Company, the Battery Storage, the Statkraft contract have all ended badly leaving the club facing insolvency.

That's another fine mess you've got us into.

      Chairman Ross Morrison resigns

Nothing official from the club as we speak, but the Inverness Courier are running with a story that Ross Morrison has resigned at 18:00 tonight 3rd June.  More to come as this story develops, but most fans are looking for more heads to roll.

Speaking exclusively to The Inverness Courier, Mr Morrison said he is leaving now because of the aftermath of the Fife move. “I believe it [the move to Fife] is the best way forward and I have to stick with my beliefs,” Mr Morrison said. “This is the reason I'm stepping down now.”

Reflecting on his time with the Caley Thistle, Mr Morrison said: “My six-year tenure with the club has had some great and some not so great times but through everything I was immensely proud to be the chairman of the club and clubs I’ve supported for 50 years - I was a Jaggie by the way.

“I would ask the fans to rally round the club at this time and show their support by not only purchasing their season tickets but also getting involved directly with the club to see how they can help.

“Hearing fans saying they would prefer administration to training the first team in Kelty sent a shiver down my spine. Administration is a desperate thing to happen to a club and must, at all cost, not happen to ICTFC.”
