  1. Well that was my first sight of ICT this season. So nice to see the Dump again. Point was a bonus against a stronger Hearts team. BBC commentary came from BBC Gorgie. Great comeback from McCann after the game. All strength to him and hope that the point gives Robbo a wee boost. As I said before let ICT climb up the Championship, get this damn season over and done with, keep us all safe and enjoy the terrace craic and camaraderie next season.
  2. McCann has just given a good interview praising the guys. Good to hear. Devine also came across well in his interview.
  3. We did! https://ictfc.com/10000-virtual-tickets-sold
  4. Yes it is and I am pleased with the way the club has communicated with the fans in an open and honest manner
  5. Very satisfactory end to a turbulent week at ICT.
  6. Interesting switch up of formation by McCann who seemed to go with some kind of 4-1-3-2 or 4-4-2 diamond and it caught Hearts out for the first half hour or so but over time we seemed to become more and more cautious and became slower at moving the ball. Little support from either Duffy or Harper down the side which was perhaps down to McCann wanting to keep it tight at the back and it worked as Hearts weren't in it for most of the first half. Good ball over the top from Keatings and excellent pace and strength b Storey to bench press that Jambo jobber to the floor and smash it past Gordon. Sloppy defending for the equaliser. Offside claims or not you cannot leave Boyce completely unmarked less than 6 yards out. Very poor to have three defenders all sucked towards the ball. Second half was very niggly and due to the number of fouls no one could get any momentum going. Any time we did get a chance to launch an attack we were crowded out or the attempts at crosses were barely lifted off the ground. Some pretty iffy defending and keeping towards the end made things pretty nervous. Walsh was atrocious. Whilst I am not sure about the second penalty claim for Carson the first was a clear spot kick as Carson was blatantly impeded. Leanne Crichton tried to excuse it saying Carson wouldn't get the ball anyway which seems a bizarre made up rule. The Kingsley challenge on MacGregor (I think) could easily have been a red as well. The only reason I think Walsh didn't show a red was because of his two overturned red cards from the other week.
  7. Well said IMH,I too thought it was TV Georgie, maybe cos 9000 virtual fans were Jambos. Billy Doda never said much about ICT players and TV during stoppage in play always panned to a Jambo. Rant over, I enjoyed the game and players gave their all.
  8. Decent performance and decent point. 2md half was a non event but we should view that as a point gained. Pretty ballsy line up and subs by Mccann with 4 forwards on the pitch so I can't fault that. There will be easier games to come so time to get up the table. We need to start turning draws into wins though.
  9. Expected more from Sutherland but also Storey both completely faded after the first 20 mins. Liked the look of Duffy could be a real find also Allardice.
  10. Popescu was at it the whole match, ref seemed oblivious, especially on Todorov at the end.
  11. Disappointing to lose points from a winning position yet again this season. However, we were competitive and well organised throughout and a point against the league leaders and,by far, the best resources club in the division, especially under the current circumstances, is a very decent result and a good start for the new interim manager.
  12. 11356 of us virtually there according to the announcement at the ground.
  13. If only Storey could pass the ball...
  14. Never doubted his ability to score.🤪 Just dont let him take a penalty though.
  15. I'm a lot happier with that point than Tuesday's one. If we'd had more penetration going forward and sharpness in front of goal we might have sneaked a winner. 3 points at Dundee in midweek will make things rosier.
  16. Well, if I'm honest a draw was fair. A great start for the first 25 mins but overall we didn't create many chances.
  17. Happy with the point, we again lack a bit of composure up front, Shane is looking a bit out of his depth I'm afraid as is wee McGregor. However this will give us confidence and give some needed belief.
  18. This just in; I hate Nick Walsh
  19. Whilst we played a great initial 25 minutes, I will take that point tonight. We showed we can compete. Roll on Dundee on Tuesday.
  20. Saved by the woodwork. A comedy moment though.
  21. Davey Carson motioning that Craig Gordon smells bad. And would that surprise me? No, no it would not.
  22. Now Carson booked. Needless, but fair the ‘keeper got booked too.
  23. We're going to be lucky if we finish with all 11 on the pitch I fear.
  24. Watching a game from this side of the pitch is a lot better
  25. Hope there’s a designated penalty taker - not a grabfest
  26. Dropping Allardice? McCann out!
  27. I got my tickets yesterday, and letter, all signed by Robbo, and I have to say, in his current circumstances, I am rather in awe of the man, and a tad emotional about it too. I hope he is getting the support he needs now and comes back when the time is right, because it's been such a difficult year.....it would be helpful if Hearts rolled over for us tomorrow as well, or at least share the points.
  28. As Mantis has said, and contrary to popular belief from some, we dont censor comments on here, nor do we remove said comments unless they cross the line. You may find them disrespectful, and others may agree or disagree with those comments, but they are opinions of people who are entitled to voice their opinion whether you, I or anyone else agrees with it or not. Also, no-one has actually used the reporting mechanism that triggers a moderator discussion on a specific topic or post. In a situation like this, the typical course of action is to allow the rest of our audience to (respectfully) disagree with these posters and foster a discussion on the subject! Thats the prime purpose of a(n open) forum. It is also likely that should he indeed be a success that those same comments are paraded back to the naysayers later ... For what it's worth, my own opinion is that we should give the guy a chance. His previous managerial record is not exactly stellar with Dunfermline or with Dundee but we are neither of these clubs and something magical happens if someone, player or staff, is a good fit for our club. He has clearly stepped into the breach to help out our club in our, and our manager's time of need, giving up potentially lucrative media earnings, and for that he should have earned our 100% support from the get-go. If he can steady the ship and win a few points while Robbo is gone then its job done in these most strange times and difficult circumstances. If not, then the naysayers can say 'I told you so'. As I was entering his details into the managerial stats this morning I got to thinking, it seems like we have an ever-growing connection with Hearts these days... Obviously, there is the Robbo connection, the virtual ticketing for this week and the appreciation from Hearts fans of our stance during the reconstruction debate last year, and now a former Hearts hero stepping into the breach to give another Hearts hero time to recover and recharge his batteries ....
  29. Because there's nothing offensive or abusive? Because it's a platform for fans' views? Are you implying that we should censor everything that isn't posted by Happy Clappers?
  30. I know I'm one to talk so feel free to slate me, probably not what mods want to hear (and not because it will lead to me losing the rag though) because it could lead to this thread going way off topic. Some of the comments I've seen on here, Facebook and Twitter are actually laughable. The guy hasn't had a match yet and some are saying its a disaster, which is wrong because Neil is a well respected sky pundit who knows what he's talking about. Yes his record at Dens wasn't good but we have had many failures of other clubs managers come here and do well. It's only interim anyway so let's all back him and hope he does well, he's just left a role as Rangers TV pundit to come up here to put himself back in the shop window. I would have preferred Gary Naysmith myself but I'm happy to give Neil my 100% backing. I look forward to hearing what he has to say in his first interview in a few hours.
  31. Our best players were all defenders, Good to see that mostly, we didn't look so fragile at the back, particularly against set pieces. An encouraging performance against the probable runaway champions. Play offs still in our grasp.
  32. Devine man of the match on BBC.
