Is Western Civilization doomed?

I was not sure where to post this, is it serious or nonsence, heard the last part of an interview on the local radio a couple of weeks back, the guy being interviewed came out with the statement "Is Western Civilization Doomed" not sure what context it was made in.

Within Western Civilisation, religion seems to have been replaced by Political Correctness, so yes... Western Civilisation probably IS doomed - and not because it has lost sight of religion!
