SATURDAY

How/when are the team travelling?. I hear the "9" is shut. Are we in danger of a cancellation? Airports shut too. Don't know about trains. Would be seriously pissed off if it didn't go ahead

will be interesting to see if the safety card comes into play when it comes to our team and support travelling and not the other way round. No way we can go now took me half an hour to drive 6 miles to work in Fort Augustus this morning on an atrocious road.

tbh if the A9 is bad the game should be postponed on grounds of safety as that was the reason the Utd game was postponed. I am really looking forward to the fixture however I think fans safety has to be the most important point!

Could they call this fixture off as early as this afternoon?

There's nothing in Edinburgh snow-wise.

It's kind of a reverse of the DUFC game - no snow down there but plenty up here. If the team and fans can't get down, the game will be off.

There isn't much snow, but I think the problem is with the risk of ice building up. I stay just outside Edinburgh and a lot of roads are very icy. Hoping it goes ahead, as love my visits to Jambos, but have some doubts.

On the basis of the reasoning behind the Dundee Utd call off, then surely tomorrows game should be cancelled too. Same circumstances.

Roads look ok on live cameras just now.

Hoping the game will be on. Lothian buses are running fine and the council is gritting roads. The pavements are a different story.

Got a bad feeling that it will be off which will be a real shame. If it is then Breakfast Counting House then maybe 1045 or 1100 train.

Don't you mean if it isn't?

Don't you mean if it isn't?

Did you not mean "Did you not mean "if it isn't"?" :tongueincheek:

yes. :nanananana:

Just back from Aviemore the roads are black, no snow or slush on A9, temp about -3, traction ok, dont know what it would be like with a heavy foot on the accelerator or hard braking but only idiots drive like that in this weather.

No news is good news regarding train south too.

If it is on then Counting House and train. If it is off, the Counting House and train! :ictscarf:

If its off im going to see Queens Park. I believe it's ?2 tomorrow. It wont be off though.

Spoke to a couple of players at tea time and asked if they were heading off tonight or tomorrow, they've been told bus leaves tomorrow morning as club were informed roads would be ok.

So.. looks like game on.... wish i was going

I came up the A9 today and despite dire warnings and "don't drive anywhere in Highland region" messages, hardly any snow apart from a drop at Dalwhinnie, A9 south of here won't be a problem unless a lot of overnight snow

Maybe the snow will cause my work to be postponed allowing me to go to the football!!!! - Doubt it!! :(

Counting House Casuals; The Scotrail IPA's chilling on the back step as we speak.... :drinking06:

Drove down to St Andrews this afternoon - A9 was absolutely fine the whole way. Had thought about flying down to Embra but Tokely International airport was closed this morning!

Really looking forward to tomorrow and to seeing the gap with the the JT's reduced by 3 points.

I had no idea the fixture was ever in doubt, not a bit of snow in Edinburgh this past couple of days and even the icy pavements are clear now.

Fingers crossed.

its 04.35 and im back home from the works lunch! just waiting on the counting house to open to do it all over again

Well that's the snow started in Glasgow. Not too heavy yet. Clouds are really dark and nasty tho any word on edin.
