League Cup Semi Final CJT statement

Statement for League Cup semi Final 2nd February 2014

Caley Jags Together are pleased to announce that we reached a conclusion on the semi-final saga. It’s the best deal that we could have got for our fans under the circumstances, and we’re happy to tell you that because of help given to us by the Scottish Sun, ICTFC and the SPFL we will be able to offer transport on ten D&E coaches to the game for £10 per adult and £5 per child. We plan on-board events that will make this an enjoyable trip for any Caley Thistle fan.

We’re also happy to tell you that ICT fans will be allocated the famous five stand, in response to a request by the club so we will have our own end of the ground. Ticket prices are £ 20 for adult and £10 for under 16’s. Under 12’s get in for £5. This makes for a really affordable day out to help our team to their first national cup final.

We’re sorry that we couldn’t change the time or the venue or get rail transport, but we do think that we got the best deal we could and now we need you to support it. Book your seat online at [email protected] or by phoning 07951309504. You can also book and pay for your seat at the CJT desk in the sports bar at the stadium at any home game up to the semi-final date. We’ll give more details nearer the time.

  • Buses will be ten quid and five quid. End of. We've spoken with the bus company and it's unlikely that we could outstrip supply unless we emptied the town completely (slight exaggeration, but you know

  • I would encourage anyone who is still swithering to go and book. Its a great deal especially for youngsters.   I look back with fond memories to our Scottish cup giant killing days, the camaraderie,

Your choice of course but I happen to think our players deserve better! I also happen to think travel and a ticket for £30 to a national semi final is good value even for pensioners.

I did not expect the SPFL to change the stand allocations. Delighted that they have. The prospect of getting < half of main stand split over two tiers was not enthralling at all. Really happy we have the Famous Five again. Good work :)

A big well done to Davie and CJT at large for their efforts here.

Hopefully those who have given of their time will be rewarded with a positive response from fans.

Long trip. Any chance of one of the buses picking me up en route?

Great work from everyone at CJT. Changing time, date and getting a train, were always going to be long shots. But to get the ICT section changed and 10 buses at a great price, excellent work.

The grumpy git in me now. Shame the Sun is involved. Disgusting publication.

In defence of the SCOTTISH Sun they promote Scottish football well. Much better than the other papers IMO. Normally a double page of our game on a Sunday and a Monday unlike the half a page the others give us.

Wonder what percentage of the contribution was from SPFL? And why are ICTFC having to pay anything?  anyway, lets make it a great day out and see the team reach our first major final!!

Well done Davie B and all others involved

Well done!

You have shown them that the fans must to be listened to.When clubs are dumped upon in future, just watch supporters clubs jump in and follow your lead. You have got as much as any reasonable person could have expected.

A decent outcome, and a shot across the bows for a serious dereliction of duty by the SPFL.

A good day for fan power and the clubs. All eyes on the semi-final now. Well done CJT.

Congratulations a great effort.

Well done now we might just have a decent support as there will still be others going by car

Great effort from everyone involed with CJT :clapping:

@ICTFC: League Cup Semi Final tickets are expected to go on sale from the ticket office on Tuesday. More info to follow in due course. #ICTFC

Fair play for getting the costs reduced but let's be honest here there was no hope in hell of getting the time of the game or the venue changed

We are in the big league now and due to Inverness's location there will always be situations arising like this

We should remember that we are in a very small country and when you put our journey into perspective with the likes of say Newcastle/Sunderland who have to regularly travel to London we don't have that much to complain about

The reduced costs should mean more will travel though so hats off to caleyjagsforever for once

Well done for taking it that step further, I hope its heavily supported by our youth at such cheap prices, should be a good talking point in school too.

Ps what's davies email address for CJT
