Quite frankly never seen anything like this in football. Liam Polworth has come through the ranks at Caley, 25 assists last season, clearly the only one with the ability to unlock a defence and yet th

This will be a good test of where we are I think. We need to keep it tight at the back and show a bit of guile going forward......and faster. A win today would be a great result on the day and a tremendous start to our season. Good luck guys. Very sad about Alan Hercher..........I have fond memories of watching him play when I first jumped on the ICT train

Noticing in the match day programme they have OFW in the squad?

Same 11. Not a suprise. Strong bench. If things don't start well hopefully Robbo can make changes early, feel our subs could have a big impact.

As well as the missed penalty from Polworth, Austin through one one with the Ayr keeper and manages to miss. We should be 2 up with Ayr down to 10 men. I hope we don’t come to regret these chances !!!!! Mon the Caley Jags !!!!!!!

Poor result.  Especially after being against 10 men for most of the game.

Not an ideal result BUT................its better than a defeat and it keeps the League unbeaten run from last season going

0-0. Sounded like no Plan B after we struggled to break them down.  Can't understand why Doran was kept on bench for so long? No need for both Chalmers and Trafford in the centre of the park today.

Awful performance , but fans are partly to blame , shouting abuse at our own players and there family’s is totally uncalled for , honestly wonder sometimes

Points thrown away today missed Penalty not even on target make sure Polworth does not take another less than 25% of attempts on target not good enough should be sitting on top with County on 6 pts

A point is better than nothing...... but we really should have won that. Who is it we expect to score for us ????? If it’s Austin or Oakley.... we will continue to struggle !!! ?points dropped today .

It wasn’t a good performance , but his performance went further down hill when he was getting targeted abuse , our fans need to realise that this is not the way forward , and I think most people would agree

Oh let's not criticise players let's give them praise for being crap.

These chants were totally out of order

Shouting abuse at Polly is bang out of order but he looks totally disinterested. It's time for a change for him me thinks and if the rumours are true then good luck to him.

A point against ten man Ayr is really disappointing considering the amount of chances we spurned, however a clean sheet especially against a team with Lawrence Shankland upfront is a big plus. By the sounds of it Polly did deserve some stick but fans shouldn't start directing negative chants against your own players. Polly is one of the most influential players in the team but his performance will only get worse when he's having an off day and the fans  start shouting abuse at him.

this is utter rubbish. you evidently didn't hear the nature of the abuse he got, or his family for that matter. Yes he didn't have a great game but tell me who did.

see other reply. it's not about criticism it's about verbal abuse.

Frustrating result, bossed the game but lacking composure and luck in front of goal. Subbing Dylan Whyte for Nathan Austin seemed a strange decision, surely would have made more sense to remove a defensive player with Ayr parking the bus. Ending the match pinging crosses into the box for 2 target men summed us up today - bereft of ideas to break down a stubborn defense. Still can't be too harsh. The unbeaten run continues, 2 clean sheets in a row, and a point against a much hyped opponent.

From what I saw today I'd happily play against a team with Lawrence Shankland upfront every week.

Or you could look at it from  the point that Shankland has scored 9 goals this season so far and the defence managed to stifle him effectively.
