A very good result and some strong performances. The comparison between last pre season and this is like night and day. Robbo has compiled a very strong squad IMO, and this coupled with some very good

  • Some really good signs tonight. First half the saints had a lot of possession and we defended really well. Restricted them to a couple of decent chances. Up front Walsh was the danger and everything w

Forres and Rothes away on Tuesday, then Aberdeen at Elgin on Saturday.

Cheers.

Report from Inverness Courier....

NEW signings James Keatings and Nikolay Todorov grabbed the goals as Caley Thistle were made to work hard for victory against a stubborn Clachnacuddin.

Keatings broke the deadlock after seven minutes connecting with Tom Walsh's cross to volley home from close range.

Kevin McHattie was forced to come off midway through the first half after suffering a knock to his thigh.

The Championship outfit had to wait until a minute before the hour mark to double their lead.

Bulgarian Todorov rose high above the Clachnacuddin defence to head Walsh's cross into the net from close range.

The hosts had a great chance to pull one back when Ross Logan played a great one-two with Martin Callum through the Inverness defence to give him a chance at goal but Mark Ridgers did well to block his shot.

Clachnacuddin goalkeeper Douglas MacLennan produced two fantastic saves in the closing minutes from a powerful Walsh free kick from 25 yards and a Coll Donaldson header to keep the defeat to two goals at full time.

Strathspey Thistle 3 Inverness Caledonian Thistle 6

Meanwhile Inverness Caledonian Thistle beat Strathspey Thistle in a nine-goal thriller in Grantown on Spey.

Jordan White scored twice with Charlie Trafford, Roddy Macgregor, Millar Gamble and Mitch Curry also on the score sheet.

Our Pre-Season matches continue tomorrow night as we face Rothes and Forres away from home, with both games kicking off at 7.45pm.

The club can confirm the following squads for both games. Kevin McHattie is a doubt for tomorrow’s game against Rothes.

Forres 7.45 KO
Mosset Park
Ridgers C.Mackay

Still no Welsh

Just back from Forres. 4-4-2. Harper and Machado linked well on the left. Really impressed with them both. Walsh was MoM for me, lots of great crosses. Keatings looked sharp enough, Todorov was good in air but a bit predictable on the ground. McCart strolled it. Chalmers and Brown in the middle worked hard. Good run out.

Alot of pace down the left side tonight, MOM Walsh was everywhere, showed blistering pace and sent in great crosses. Some good goals tonight. Youngsters did well when they came on

A trialist starting at Rothes and another on the bench at Forres. Who they?

Esson and any of the players awaiting International Clearance must be listed as a trialist due to them not being registered ICTFC players.

7-1 and 6-1 sound impressive. For those there, are there positive signs for when the season starts?

Was at Forres. They looked fine but its hard to judge as we have been spliting teams into two. Good to see the young players perform well when given a chance though.

Keatings had a very tidy finish tonight and Todorov is pretty clinical with heading opportunities in the box ... competition for strikers ... love it.

Is it too early to say that this may be ICT's year?

If we continue to play against Highland League teams yes.

We will know better after we have played more accomplished and polished teams like Cove and Putridheid.

I heard it didn't look good , historical knee problems...

Some players seem to get crocked every year against Forres. About time we stopped playing them?
