  1. In a cup tie it doesnt matter how you do it, as long as you get through. We did that and we are through and County are trudging home "robbed" yet again. The penalty was directly in front of the ref plus Tokely also got a yellow, so without seeing the incident i'm very confident it was a penalty. 2nd half, did we get a free kick??? So much for Thomson being in our favour, it was just relentless ball after ball into the box from set pieces. Which is why County are out of the cup and at the bottom of the table. They struggle to create anything other than from set pieces. My highlight of the game was at full time as Vigurs was walking up the tunnel. After constantly asking him what the score was he gave me the w4nker gesture as he got to the tunnel entrance. Feeling honoured that i got under his skin!!

  2. Didn't enjoy the match but happy with the result. We won't play great in every game but even when underperforming we can still win. Happy days. I think the conditions made it hard to play on the deck so I can understand why there were a few stray balls etc. Bring on Killie - definately a winnable game. Got plenty of league games and the Semi - Final of the League cup before that though. We are: 2nd in SPL Semi of League Cup Last 16 of Scottish Cup Compared to County: Joint 2nd bottom (and if Dundee beat them on Saturday they are only 3 points off bottom) Defeated 4-1 by Raith Rovers in League Cup Out of Scottish Cup at first stage by ICT Pleasing.

  3. Wasn't pretty, but it did the job. Now back to league business to hold on to our 2nd place position, worry about the Killie game later. @bishbashbosh - if your 3 mates are expecting a game like we played at the Global Warming Stadium or Pittodrie, every single time, then they don't know much about football. Good luck to them finding something more satisfying than putting your nearest neighbours (I hesitate to use the term "rivals" as they are never really challenging us in any way shape or form) out of the top Scottish cup competition, albeit at the second time of asking. Perhaps they should consider taking up a different sport to support?

  4. I was not in Section E (I am still in Section G) but I had my bag searched quite thoroughly, both on Saturday and Tuesday evening "just in case I had a smoke bomb" or whatever! As an oap who has been to virtually every game since ICT came into existence, I try to be helpful to the Stewards and show them that my bag holds only my binos (to see the boys more clearly at the other end of the pitch) my fleece blanket and other items to keep me and my fellow fans a bit warm on a cold footie day. No bottles no nothing untoward, ever. A goodie - me. I wouldnt know what a smoke bomb looked like. However, it was sad to see Section E being filmed - what about the young persons there - were their parents aware their children were being filmed - isnt there some rule where permission must be granted before filming can take place of persons under a certain age? I agree smoke bombs should have no place within ICT or any football stadium but ... for example I saw no Police officers trying to film the fans from where the coin was flung and injured one of our fans at Ibrox at the cup game just a few weeks ago. Who decided that the young people in our Section E were responsible for what happened at Dingwall? What evidence? From whom?

  5. To be fair, that's not difficult. Mark Brown in "fails to get anywhere near a penalty" shocker!

  6. Hate to think what Adams would be saying if he realised that Craig Thomson is related to Ken Thomson, one of the ICT Directors!!!

  8. I thought it was laughable when the police started filming. They must think they're dealing with the ICF! It's even more laughable hearing folk defending the police actions! There is no justification for the heavy handedness shown towards the young ones who do their best to generate a bit of atmosphere at the games. So what if a smoke bomb was thrown at Dingwall. It was completely harmless, and caused no damage. And the 'idiot' on the pitch? Well, equalising with the last kick of the ball against your rivals in the cup might just be reason enough for those actions. Again, no harm done. I don't remember the same condemnations directed at the many hundreds who invaded the pitch a couple of times at Ayr a few years ago.

  9. From The Herald - "Oh, I look forward to January 2," said Adams. "I wish it was tomorrow, because there are a few smirks to wipe off a few peoples' faces." This is very un-Christian talk DA, your boss should have a word with you. Are we not morally correct in enjoying our wins then? Get a life man - DA - ducks ar*e.

  10. Unlike most I loved getting filmed. I was born for the camera.

  11. They may not know the individual who threw it, but they do know the area it came from. One thing I learned at a fairly early age, and that was "if you fly with the crows, you get shot with the crows".

  15. Guest Cameraman, Gringo Jnr, got a clear shot of Tokely dragging Warren down for the penalty last night. I'll be finishing off the highlights later and should hopefully get them up tonight (24 hour hold back) or tomorrow morning.

  16. Whoa that was torture....but it was a win , and thats the important thing. AT the end of the day we ve probably done them a favour and ourselves as well , as they can now concentrate on the league. We can therefore look forward to 3/4 derbies next year and guaranteed 9/12 points and good attendences for the clubs. So everyones a winner........ And do you hear them thanks us.......Ungrateful, thats what I call it !!

  17. Not pretty but we got there. Seen the penalty on Sky Sports. Have to say Tokely (our 12th man) did have a hold of Meekings, i think Thomson made the right call. Seemed as though County had set themselves out to counter any football we tried to play though it was clear from the off that we werent 100% tonight. The difference tonight was Billy McKay. County lack a talisman up top whereas we have one who's stock is rising fast. Worked his arse off for the team, put Brown the wrong way for the pen and his 2nd goal was top class. Contracted or not i think we will have offers for him come January. Reguero was my man of the match though tonight. Was annoyed at him for getting lobbed by Vigurs but he was outstanding 2nd half. Showed excellent handling from the set pieces and when called into action he pulled off some great saves. Safe to say he has cemented his place as 1st choice now. As much as i relish derbies im glad this one is out of the way. We can get back to focusing on the league and the cup semi final now. But there is nothing better than putting one over on the they who are forever in our shadow. Well done tonight lads. And yet another great derby day atmosphere. Love it. Only thing that bugged me tonight was Vigurs. The man has talent, no question. But his attitude and conduct on the pitch is disgraceful at times. I saw tonight why Terry chucked him and frankly im glad he did. His tussle with Doran was ridiculous. Trying to get him sent off, that was all he was doing. Its a disgusting side to the game.

  18. TerryMo, it's something that the club and supporters groups (not just at ICT) have though about long and hard this year. Our attendances, like every other club in the SPL, have been hit hard by the fact that there's a recession on and money is tight. The latest SPL figures show an average league attendance of 4032 for this season and these are at the bottom end of the scale. However, they are not way out so it doesn't appear that there is something unique about us ( St Johnstone, C*unty and St Mirren are much and such) so outside of the main population centres there's a definite loss of attendances. Forget the stuff about the Rangers, that's a smokescreen and has made no difference at all to our overall crowds this year. Forget the stuff about the SPL being boring and substandard - we certainly can't subscribe to that this year! Away supports seem to have suffered greatly this year as well, so what evidence there is points to finances being the problem. So what can we do? The club can (and will) subsidise admission prices in an effort to get people in (£15 for the replay). Caley Jags Together will bang the drum and continue to fundraise and work our a*ses off in support of the club. The players and staff deliver a really cracking product week in, week out. We will continue to raise our media profile so that more and more people know about ICT and how good we are this year. So we do what we can, and will continue to do so but we need individuals to make the decision to come to TCS. We need you to persuade your partner, your mates, your neighbour to come along. We can't do that for you. My real fear is that we reach a point where the players who have reached historic highs for this club decide that their stock is sufficiently raised to go to places where bigger and noisier crowds will value and encourage them, and that would be a real shame. The solution is in the hands of the fans - and now they need to step up to the plate.

  19. So thought i would vent my anger/disappointment regarding the policing/stewarding for the game on Tuesday. I can understand why the fans were searching going into the match after what happened in Dingwall although i don't approve of the reason i was given when i asked why i was being searched 'you fit the age group we have been told to search' Anyway, why were the police and Stewards filming/watching Section E for the whole match? I don't understand why there was numerous police officers and stewards around the section, there wasn't even that many in the whole away end. I know there was alot of people at that game in Section E that were only there because of how much they enjoyed County away, but why would they return every week to be treated like this? The club is always asking for the fans to create an atmosphere, but when we do, we get treated like this?

  23. Strange I didn't notice an increased Police/steward presence, video cameras etc at the Hibs game. Seems our small band of vocal fans are akin to Turkish Ultras the way some folk are going on.

  24. Am I entitled to a copy of the video? I've worn out my copy of Green Street As someone who was allocated a seat in Section E by the club, who never usually sits there, and was not around this notorious group in Dingwall, I didn't appreciate being filmed. But well done those who made noise and got behind the team

  25. Vigurs goal is superb, but I don't think he did himself any favors with the celebration. I did notice he was pointing to his name as he strode back for the re start too. To read that he'd also gestured to a fan at full time too is a disgrace. He's become some what of a Dougie Imrie character for me - All that talent, but his attitude, ego and arrogance let him down

  30. Well I am on ma way home on the train. As far as I am concerned the better team won and we are in the next round. In the first half, until Vigurs scored as good a goal as you can get - as in the first game - we were a class above and if we had hit a second we could have waltzed it. County were really up fer it and showed that they had far more to prove than we did. The conditions favoured the underdog and affected our footballing prowess. Some of our players had an off day but - feck me - at the end of the day it is all about who scores the most goals - and we feckin did. That was County - in the second half - at 150% and us playing at 70-80% - so what does that tell ya. Plus we would have capitulated before and despite putting on an apparent remake of the Alamo - it was more like feckin Bannockburn. And we played the same starting eleven again and we kept our winning run going. It will be a different story when we feck them on 02/01/2013.

  33. I agree with most that it was not a brilliant game to watch, but we got the win and thats the main thing. Being on the clubs media team last night, I was actually surprised how honest the chap next to me was. He was obviously part of their media set up and said before the match he thought both teams would score with inverness being victorious. He was able to 'playback' footage of every 'controversial' moment and to be fair, there wasn't one. Rossco definately had meekings by the arm as he ran in for the set piece, then appeared to also clip his heels. Definate penaly, definate yellow. Vigurs goal was class, and I'm not too sure why people are soley blaming Reguero. As the ball was cleared by County, he was way off his line, but I think more fault should be pinned on the 3 defenders that afforded Vigurs time and space to shoot. He was completely unmarked and no one covered. From 25 yards, Reguero was only about 6-7 yards off his line. Enough to close the target down but unfortunately too much space for to track back for a save. Overall, I'm delighted we're through and glad the tie is over. Roll on Saturday and a usually great day out at Tannadump

  37. Yes, I noticed that stat on BBC and wondered about it. Doesn't seem to match up with the game reports. Sounded like a good game to miss, quality wise, but another great win, all the more so as it hacks off County and Adams big time.

  39. If the gudgies (hey my autocorrect is suggesting 'budgies') were that good, why is the BBC giving the possession as 58-42 to us? Halfway through the first half it was showing 73-27.

  44. There is nothing better than winning and there is nothing worse than losing to travelling people. The bottom line is that TB has finally thrown away the la de feckin da coaching manuals of the modern day and returned to some of the old fashioned thinking. He has finally settled on a system and he clearly also now knows the chosen first eleven and who to replace them with. He has also thankfully abandoned the equally nouveau crepe of squad rotation. In his hey day playing game after game was the norm and there was none of this garbage that professional footballers get feckin burnt out if they play more than one feckin game a week. Terry is probably relishing the luxury of having fit and available players on a regular basis but he may as well enjoy it whilst he feckin can. I say we play the same team over and over again as long as we feckin can. So lets feck the gypos, lets feck the Arabs, lets feck Dungdee, lets feck Midden and lets go out of 2012 in style and fecki St Jones Town as well. And lets first foot Tinkerville and start 2013 off in feckin style again - and lets pray that we play the same feckin starting eleven over and over again.

  46. Turn Inverness into an ICT supporting city, we need to get more businesses aware of the wealth of our fan base, the club and local businesses could do wonders for each other, before you know it, you find places touting for ICT trade, ie if I had a restaurant I would be offering 10% off meals in January for ST holders and 5% with a match ticket, I would increase my trade over a quiet month, or 5% off Mon to Fri for ST holders, Id pull in new customers and put myself across as being pro ICT, i might also we a wee bit cheeky and see if I could get a discounted hospitality package and bring along a few business associates for a day out, before you know it we have a lot of new allies on board promoting ICT, which is a must with regards to luring in new customers/fans. If Kilmarnock won a cup, everyone would be on the streets to see an open top bus and shops would be in donned blue and white colours. We just need to be more proactive in raising the profile of ICT How does this increase fan base? when everywhere you look there are people promoting ICT, then supporting ICT is the norm. I would also be making phones call to get a minimum of 100 children in for free for each home game
