They will be for sale in the Sports Bar at Tulloch Caledonian Stadium (cash only) on 9th March before and after the game against Dundee United and at other outlets before that. We are particularly pleased to offer child tickets at a rate that cannot be matched anywhere else because of the generous assistance of The Highland Council. We, like The Council and First Scotrail recognise the importance of involving young people in sport and this occasion will go a long way towards achieving that aim. Being able to experience a national cup final for as little as £15* makes this a great deal for a family day out. Caledonian Thistle belongs to the city, so let’s make sure that the city belongs to them on cup final day” TOGETHER WE BELIEVE, TOGETHER WE ACHIEVE * Lowest child match ticket/ bus price

  6. The car is not clamped it can move, plenty car parks are locked at night. You're saying if one person drove to an ICT game had a drink decided to leave the car it would be illegal to lock that gates 5 hours after the game and after everyone had gone home in case they wanted to return to get their car at their convenience?

  9. It's available worldwide at the moment...and that will not change. What we hope will change will be the ability to offer live overseas broadcasts for our home games...but that's very unlikely to be this season. We're also investigating a possible new option for live online match commentary, but those discussions are in the very early stages.

  10. With us being in the League Cup Final, the Scottish Cup Quarter Final and in a strong place in the league, we must surely come out of this season in a very healthy state financially speaking. Last year, we produced very positive financial reports with us making a profit for the first time in years. In many ways, we have already bettered last season. In the League Cup last year we got to the semi final, and we've gone one better this year and we all know what comes with that. In the Scottish Cup, we are one round further than last year....with the QF tie being televised too. In the league, we are well on course top at least match out finish lady year with two games In hand on 4th place United. Makes for very positive reading!

  19. I remember being at Millburn when Darren MacLean was transferred from Inverness Thistle to Liverpool in the mid-80's. I seem to have a vague recollection of there being TV crews set up for interview in the gym...or maybe I'm confusing the time Radio 1 did an outside broadcast from the school. Anyway, I digress! He moved to Merseyside for around £30,000 IIRC. A huge amount of money in those days especially for a Highland League outfit. I wonder what the club did with that windfall? Did it all go on appointing Jim Leishman and putting him up in the Kingsmills Hotel! A fair bit went on carrying out essential repairs to the perimiter wall which was in such a poor state it was close to being condemned. If I remember rightly, a large part of a Leishman's salary was funded personally by Jock MacDonald.

  23. Not sure how being as the UK is abbreviation of United Kingdoms of Great Britian and Northern Ireland. If Scotland wins independence then there is no United Kingdoms of Great Britian. rUK does not need Scotland..........that is not quite true either. The rest of UK will continue to be dependant on Scotland to meet their electricity, gas, water and cereal needs as well as other foodstuffs. They are also highly unlikely to suddenly stop drinking whisky. We also export large amounts of minerals from mining and quarrying. This includes 100,000 tonnes of silica from Lochaline to Merseyside for specialist glass making. None of that is going to suddenly stop.

  29. Many years ago I went to an early evening meeting at a school where the premises were surrounded by a 6ft iron fence with 3 pronged spikes at the top. I parked in the school car park. After the meeting 3 of us decided to go to the pub and we stayed a while. When I returned the gate was locked so there was no way I was going to be able to drive home. However, the bigger problem was that my house keys were in my coat pocket - and my coat was in the car! I therefore decided to climb over the gate to get my keys. I did that fine but getting back again was more of a problem and I caught my foot on the spikes and gave myself a significant gash on the ankle. I limped the 2 miles home and then limped back the following morning to collect my car. I couldn't blame the school caretaker for doing his job, the fact that my car was locked in and then that I injured myself was the result of my own stupidity. I was happy to have a laugh about the situation and move on. From what 12th man says, it would appear that as my car remained in the car park, the caretaker should have left the gates open. How absurd would that be! The gates are there for a purpose. I could have decided to have a few beers and walked home leaving the car there all night. That would have left the gates open for anyone to come in at night and do whatever it is that the gates are there to stop them doing. In these circumstances, if the law says the school caretaker should have left the gates open then the law is an ass. No. Irrespective of the technicalities of the law, if you park inappropriately then it is at your own risk and if your car gets locked in then so be it. Accept responsibility for your actions and get over it.

  31. You mean like they or the police let people going to Ness Bank Church park anywhere they like along the Haugh or the Riverside on a Sunday morning, the only difference being that this obstructs traffic while parking on the verge at the stadium doesn't? 12th man - the OPINION that people can park on private property when they like and at the same time also deprive the owners of that property of the right to operate it as they choose, such as by closing gates, is nonsense!

  32. I agree that everyone should be singing. But who starts the songs? You need a section of like minded individuals (the caleyaway regulars) who will start and lead the singing and it will spread across the stand....hopefully. The singing section at the semi was immense!!

  33. On most match days this car park is normally off limits to fans. They usually lock the gates well beforehand so it is surprising a number of cars got trapped in there last night. Also I have to say that the parking habits of a lot of fans out on the adjacent roads (pavements and verges) at the Courier building is pretty disrespectful to pedestrians. Many are illegally parked around the junctions. If they parked like that in a residential area they would be booked by the police or wardens. There has been a few near misses with pedestrians trying to cross over the road perpetrated by illegally parked vehicles opposite the New Century House access. It is only a matter of time before someone gets knocked down or the police take action as they did on the verges on the A9 approach to the stadium.

  38. I think the club deserve some credit for the ticket prices yesterday, as I fear the crowd may have been something embarrassing had they not reduced the prices. With it being a cold Tuesday night, against Stranraer and competing with a big game on the box I thought the crowd was....reasonable.

  39. Having just read the HIBS thread on Rig's post, even I was depressed. Glory and stability in the past ....to this kind of depression and back-biting. It's fine having a short fuse as TB is reputed to have but showing it to the players is not the way to go for a new manager --he will lose them. A club that is down, with players who are also emotionally drained by defeat after defeat, needs encouragement and help. Now he has Malpas with him they had better work very hard together and use praise and encouragement from now on or this team will be a basket case before the end of the season. Hearts have had a torrid time of it but their spirit is still "tails-up" and they still have a bright future. What was it that was so great about TB here at ICT ? Was it the great help he got from his support staff. the potentially good players he brought in from England, or do :clapping:es he really have the right stuff. All I can opine is that the way he "arranged" his departure left me cold as ice and a man of real character would not only have acted differently but been much fairer to and honest with the Chairman of ICT. 'Nuff said. He made his bed and now he will have to lie on it. Poor Hibs! They picked the wrong man --Their loss is our gain. John Hughes has twice the personality and character.

  40. It's simple economics....we have to charge at a level which we hope will provide sufficient income to cover the cost of providing the service and increasing club income. The current charge is $10, but our intention is to increase both quality and quantity of the content being offered as resources permit. As that happens then the price needs to rise to cover the additional cost...or, in an ideal scenario, we get sufficient subscribers to allow us to maintain a lower price point. I've checked out some of the paid offerings elsewhere and I couldn't allow the club, with clear conscience, to provide that level of service to fans for any price. If we're going to do it, we're going to do it right.

    • Kelty Hearts Training Statement
What a farce we have become, a laughing stock: Did you hear the one about the footbal team from the Highlands of Scotland that want to train at Cowdenbeath? Unfortunately, unlike our board, this is not a joke. Our board are trying to rip our identity from the Highlands and replace it with shared training at Kelty Hearts. I kid you not, this is not a drill and the clowns that run our club appear to be delighted at this coup.

    • Relegation Statement
RELEGATION STATEMENT: This could have been said ten minutes after our defeat to Hamilton three days ago. So far, this is not the news that we on Caley Thistle Online wanted to hear. Pleased that we will still function as a club, disappointed that resignations have not been offered yet. Keeping fans waiting in silence for three days is unforgivable and relationships are drifting further apart than ever before. Silence is not the way forward, we deserve better as fans.

    • Inverness CT 2-3 (3-5) Hamilton - Play off final (relegation)
RELEGATED: Despite Inverness needing to get off the mark quickly, it was Accies that killed the tie inside the first fifteen minutes with strikes from Kevin O'Hara and Lewis Smith. Cammy Kerr reduced the leeway with a good strike from distance, but O'Hara struck again with a penalty before the break to diffuse the revival. We struggled to create anything of note and this reporter could not stomach any more and left the stadium. I'm told Alex Samuel pulled a goal back in stoppage time, but like the rest of the season it was too little too late.

    • Hamilton 2-1 Inverness CT - Play off final 1st Leg
A better showing from Inverness in the second half, especially with Lawal and Pepple on the park but it's Hamilton that take a one goal advantage up the A9 on Saturday. Lawal has been the standout performer in our last few games and surely he must start on Saturday. Pepple also did well, scored the goal, had an effort saved and got in a few balls across the box from tight positions.

Still, a shocker of a first half and we must be up for it from the start on Saturday.
