  1. And from the BBC updates page 15:40 County keeper Antonio Reguero flaps at a cross like a man trying to trap a leaping salmon with a pair of oven gloves and Josh Magennis says "thank you very much" to give the visitors the lead.
  2. Great result. BBC absolutely raving about us! Hope that shuts up some ridiculously negative people on this forum...
  3. I have created a new video showing Billy McKay's best and most important goals for ICT throughout the last couple of seasons! Feedback would be appreciated, thanks :)
  4. Couldn't have complained had it been 4-0. Well played
  5. Truly epic performance. I HAVE BEEN ENTERTAINED. Every first half pass found its man. We tore them apart. We played with width. More runners into box please. Otherwise what an effort. Looks like the players may have bought into the new style. Heroes to a man. Best I have felt after a game since Easter Road semi. Many congrats to all ( inc home support who joined in generously with applause for one of our fallen (sorry I did not know his name)) This must surely cause some to doubt their premature prognosis ..........and a bad decision by Nurse Ratchett to miss this one!
  6. Easily the best performance I've seen under Hughes (I wasn't at the 3-0 RC game). Tansey's goal was eerily similar to his goal in the semi and Doran's was the icing on the cake of an excellent performance. Top marks go to Watkins, Shinnie and Meekings. Best day.
  7. Fantastic result, congrats to Yogi and the team for this one. The ball retention seems to work better away from home. Onwards and upwards. Oh, wait, we can't go any higher.
  8. 1st Inverness 12th ross county
  9. This sounds like one of our best performances
  10. Hugely enjoying being made to look a tw@ as we continue to improve despite my misgivings, long may it go on.
  11. Fantastic result. Clean sheet and 2 pearler strikes against a side renowned for giving us a hiding on their own turf. Cannot ask for anymore. Questions were asked after Wednesday and theyve been well and truly answered. Leaves me feeling a lot more confident knowing this is the kind of result and performance we are capable of. We top a league that our neighbours are propping up? That is like the perfect symmetry of life for me. Marley played a peach by the sounds of things and Doran scored the killer goal. I think its time they both go back and stay in the starting line up. Roll on to Celtic at home...
  12. Great result. Two good strikes, another clean sheet, another three points away from home, and top of the league....
  13. What an optimist he is! Scored with a deflected effort when it was 5-0 in the 2nd half, but runs into the net to retrieve the ball and sprints back to the half way line, punching the air towards the Utd fans as if to say the comeback is on!
  14. Only 36 games in the league to go and County are probably now working on which 6 players to get rid of in January....
  15. This is not correct. Graeme came through the ranks at Dyce Boys Club which is the top boys club in Aberdeen. Boys who don't get picked up by Aberdeen ( ie Graeme and Stuart Armstrong) invariably end up at Dyce and/or Albion Boys Club. AFC have had a major review of their scouting having missed out on the aforementioned prospects. There's also a major gnashing of teeth going on at the moment given the fact they missed out on Ryan Gauld and John Soutar who grew up in AFC scouting zone.
  16. Well done to JH. Sounds like Watkins made the difference, which is what many were suggesting. Play guys in their correct position and it pays dividends. Williams and Watkins is the way forward for wide players, with Doran to come on - excellent! A word today for the defence: what a unit we have there.....
  17. Well, that was a pleasant surprise! At this rate there might be hundreds of us lining up at the 'humble pie' table later this season. Sounds like we created plenty of chances today. That was one of my worries with our new style of play, but maybe it was unfounded. Looking forward to seeing the goals on the highlights, they sounded like crackers Getting Tansey back was one of our best bits of business imo. I'm just off to have another look at the league table, it looks so pretty!
  18. Well, you never know. An English Club is making overtures to get Kris Commons from Celtic. He scored another opportunist goal today. If they lose him they sure will regret it. And if they lose him before they entertain us then we could slaughter them. Wouldn't that be something .He is skilled, strong and a powerful player with an inspiring influence on his team.
  19. But is it a bandwagon or a rollercoaster?!
  20. Three clean sheets is testament to the new system plus six points away from home. If we could turn the TCS in to an entertainment fortress ?? Or do results mean more ?
  21. A great result and was watching the BBC Stats in first half 13 shot and only 3 on target a bit worrying and a 60/40 possession then at start of second half possession dropped to 55/45 in our favour and remained like that for a long time. we finished with 17shots so only 4 in the second half with 1 of these on target and possession finished 58/42 in our favour. So looks like we controlled the game and limited Motherwell to 5 shots and 0 zero on target Great start to the season I did not think we would win today so that is a real bonus and ahead of where I thought we would be , but big test comes next week look at Dundee Untd result today. I will be happy next week if we can hold Celtic and not get the drubbings that we have had from them recently
  22. No doubt, you always have to play players in form. I think Watkins' performance over the past few games merits a starting place again next week.
  23. Great result! Great performance too by the sounds of it!
  24. At 19, Ryan Christie is a player with huge potential. Danny Williams, on the other hand, is nearly 27. In the short career that is football, I'd say that he's now too 'old' to be described in those terms. There are plenty of late bloomers in football, Didier Drogba being one.
  25. This sounds like one of our best performances under Hughes.
  26. Away fans in good voice
  27. Curtis Allen has got a goal for Glentoran and Darren Dods for Forfar
  28. I think Danny Williams is going to be an extremely important player this season. Player with huge potential.
  29. I,all eat my hat!!!!!!!!!
  30. Brilliant commentary so far, very descriptive and good back up from Maurice....... great stuff Auldyboy
  31. Terrific work. Has really got me in the mood for today's game despite the fact that it is horrible outside.
  32. I'm sure Richard Hastings played for Nairn before us. Presumably he was the last ICT player to play against the old clubs as well. Michael Fraser came through our youth system as well I think, who eventually made to be number 1 keeper (despite not being very good!).
  33. There are now 14 signed up for the Championship it would be good if the following four could sign up before the deadline 11.30 tomorrow and that would be almost a full league. The League can still be joined after that but it will mean you playing less games than the rest of the teams in the league Tea and Busquets Rory Carson Tennis Ball Heed Calum Stewart Dyslexics Untd Paul Gablonski Relegation Favourites Gary Donaldson Code 1665539-438198
  34. Seen a stat today. We have 20 clean sheets in our last 40. Only Celtic have more with 22. Shows how good meekings, warren and brill are.
  35. Well I am not so sure but if you say so, of course I BOW TO YOUR SUPERIOR KNOWLEDGE, MY PERCEPTION WAS THE REF HAD A VERY GOO No need to shout or the sarcasm, Jiust saying it as I say it. The only booing I heard in the North stand was directed towards the referee. One occasion was when Doran (I think) was clean through on goal and the referee stopped play to book a Dundee player instead of playing advantage. I did not hear any booing personally towards the players. I have to agree with OCG the booing was aimed towards the ref because of us being through in on goal and the ref stopping the play to book a player which is not the correct way of doing things because we were in a goal scoring opportunity. I don't think we booed any players directly it was more of booing the ref and the style of our play at one point but that's about it bud. Alan Preston on OAM was aghast at that decision
