  1. A draw today would have been a decent result for us away to County, any sort of win would have been absolutely superb, but 3-0? That's in the category of "You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!"

Thought he had a decent game today.
  5. By the way interesting quote at Cheltenham festival yesterday from Victoria Pendlington. " I love to ride and have been doing it for years but I never knew what a jump really was until I met Yogi"
  6. Can I propose the match report headline: "Caley Jags reign on County's parade"
  7. Top six may be a distant prospect now but still not quite impossible. Whether it's a last effort to get into the top six or vital points to stay ahead of the relegation battle tomorrow's trip to Dingwall is huge and a draw would favour County much more than us as it would consolidate their place in the top six and their lead over us. If we win this match and our game in hand over Hearts we will be on the same points total as the Dingwall men and could still pip them for that place in thetop six. Personally, to end the league season, for once, in their shadows would hurt almost as badly as ending up in the Championship. There is no room for negativity either on or off the pitch we need to go all out for the win. I know we are all scunnered after recent results and performances but let's get overthebridge in good heart, good voice and good numbers to roar Richie Foran and the boys to victory and take a bit of the shine off their trophy and a bit of gloss off that five minute open top bus parade around Dingwall while at the same time turning our end of season around.

What happen in the front seats tonight saw stewards picking on the fans for no reason saw one steward telling fans to sit down
  9. Johndo , For you to say many shared his-(Shauns)- view - implies that you think his negative view to be correct .How about the rest of us? we were there was Shaun - appreciate that you may not have been for obvious=distance - reasons -but to state that Yogi got out of jail today is flippant -how about great result .If its up to you to decide what we do, if and when survival is achieved is reassuring .
  10. Best league away day ever. Only Hampden last season comes close. Great win on County's party day on their patch. Stunning 3rd goal made everyone relax and start our own party. Every player played their part. Only disappointment being that we kind of coasted the last 30 mins when we could have got more. Brilliant away atmosphere with lots of loud, enthusiastic, witty singing relentlessly taking the mickey out of County. Hope some of it finds its way onto youtube. Wish we played like that every/most weeks.

So we wont be seeing you at another match then
  12. The difference when we have a bit of pace up top to get in behind (or threaten to) and stretch the lines. If we can keep a hold of Storey I think he will go up and up in terms of goalscoring. Good to also hear what looks like a good shape. And clinical. Just get enough points on the board. Ensure our safety, tie up who we can and rebuild the squad where required. This season has been long hard and painful. Not unexpected given our success last season. But a break and freshen up will be good going forward. Great result today.
  13. Well that makes pleasant reading. Will have to wait fear the match attenders but it looks like Yogi did eject the crazy 3-5-2 or even 3-6-1 formation. Interested to hear how we did set up. Can see the "loyalty card" to Devine at centre back and Tremarco. Would prefer Meekings in the centre and Danny Williams at left back myself. Also agree with Chris that Polworth and Vigurs do not give us enuff width. It will be interesting to see if he perseveres with Hughes as a target man. That clearly was not the initial intention but may be a master stroke. I still think that Storey wasn't match fit but I also like the look of Roberts - although Yogi does not appear to be so. Foran is more of a presence these days and I suspect was fecked after the Hibees excursion. Keep this squad fit and free of suspension and we can see this campaign out successfully. Fraid it is a case of looking forward to next season - probably minus Tansey at least. But I still do not agree that we should have "surrendered" the cup but hope that Yogi has learned a lesson from his "messing".

  15. I was starting to think we needed the goals enlarged as most shots recently have been best described as narrowly missing the target. All is forgiven today as everyone seems to have found their shooting boots.
  16. Great start, and was glad to see Celtic score and absolute screamer in the last minute at Killi. Keep this up and we can breath a little easier
  17. I do have a Highland Derby list! Will post it, updated, after today's game - should be 'up' this evening!

Took my wife to the Hamilton match last week, the steward on our turnstyle, said we couldn't take a small bottle of water in with us......but we could buy it inside! I couldn't understand the logic behind that, but had travelled too far to argue! Oh and I took at least one photograph of the match!
  19. I'm talking rubbish! I've just looked at the latest SFA list and although he does have a one match suspension, it doesn't kick-in until after the County game. I apologise for my mistake - as it also 'mislead' the 'Team for County' thread. I'm the one who should be suspended!

You'll probably enjoy this even more. Just something I knocked together. ***Warning _ This Report May Contain Some Terracing***
  21. Last season may not be repeated in its completeness for many a year. However, this year we had an eminently make-able route to the final laid out for us (i.e. get past a Championship side albeit very good, then the side rooted to the bottom of the Premiership). That level of challenge to get to a final may also not be repeated for many years to come. Serious foul-up (team selection, defensive display, missed chances) at the hands of a team that is ridiculed in social media for bottling on the big occasion. On Wednesday's big occasion, it was ourselves that "Hibs'd" it. I applaud the board for last year pulling out the stops to get a proven goal-scoring forward albeit on a short-term deal (Ofere) who eventually played a very significant part in achieving Europe and cup success. By comparison, I'm hugely disappointed with their lack of effort in the same area this year ... especially after having banked our biggest ever transfer money deal early in the season when there was still plenty time to plan / get our ducks in a row recruitment-wise.
  22. Could not be there last night as down south: blessing in disguise? Could not believe the team selection, despite being happy JM back. Watching BBC text updates was painful, car crash waiting to happen. Confirmed by highlights. I am going to Dingwall on Saturday fearing the worst but hoping for the best! Bottom six is inevitable. I hate to admit it, but after the highs of last season, I predicted we would finish 8th this season. I would take that now! The criticism of JH and some players on here is justified, but when times are tough the players need to know that we are behind them. Let's do what we can to support and encourage them.

It's time to drop Devine. He has made quite a few mistakes over the last few weeks. Lets get Warren and Meekings Partnership back together at CB

Not true. I believe you are meant to be allocated a seat but there's no rule that says said person must remain seated at all times.
  26. The shinty boys are also suggesting that, in addition to a football double photo, there could be a triple one with the Scottish Cup, the League Cup and the Camanachd Cup, which all now sit within 15 miles of each other.

Nice one. Hope it gives Liam and the team a boost!
  28. I think both keepers are pretty evenly matched. OFW certainly looking a safer bet right now given that we're actually getting to see him play and Brill has been out for some time. Mindful of Hughes saying that he couldn't offer Vincent a deal because of his injury record the same might apply for Brill. Deano however is unquestionably the more handsome of the two but OFW paints. It's a toughie...
  29. A wee stat: Iain Vigurs equalising goal was the 100th goal between the clubs, all-time. (now 102 goals) Leading scorer is wee Billy with 6. Adam Rooney 'closing-in' with 5. (2 for Inverness; 3 for Aberdeen) I had a Hard-Drive failure last week, losing 2 months of data - so am 're-building', as-and-when. Another harsh, painful lesson though... Anyway, the 'North Derby' stats are now updated - here's the full list of 102 goals form anybody interested! Some 'blasts-from-the-past' here! To be fair to the steward you are meant to be sitting

No idea what was going on, but I did see a few fans jumping over the barrier onto the track infront of the North stand just to get closer for shouting at Hibs players - this may be the route to the snack shop but jumping the barrier cant be seen as anything other than unacceptable behaviour. Usually 2 sides to every story and the truth somewhere in the middle!!!

So does that mean you have to crawl to and from your seat then? This is actually a serious observation since there is bound to be a grey area as to what constitutes necessary standing and some jobsworth steward desperate to assert his authority. Reading this thread is simply reinforcing the questions I already have as to how much tolerance football fans in general are going to be willing to maintain of a situation where they are paying serious money to watch football, simply to find their freedom of action severely constrained both inside and outside the ground - including the risk of being arrested under legislation which applies solely to football fans.

Just to clarify, my earlier comments were about the general experience of fans attending the game as a whole in the current era and not a specific reference to ICT.

Certainly not the same line up as Wednesday and please not Liam Hughes up front. We definitely need Roberts and Storey in there plus Richie Foran (to make County look sh#te). I for one will not be going as I've been tortured too much by our performances in the last 4 weeks. Also I don't want insult added to injury by being made to stay in the ground until C####y have paraded the diddy cup.
  35. Poor Barry not too happy by the sounds of things
  36. Have we had Shaun's take on this result yet?

Guess so ! Sometimes you get lucky and I still believe he is not good enough .
