  1. A much improved performance today, some excellent creative forward play. A couple of opportunities for Polworth & Doran to score and the second goal from County was a mile offside.Thorougly entertaining game which I think we should have won !!!!
  2. Best performance I've witnessed this season. Deserved a win. Exciting game to watch that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. Maintained a high tempo the whole game and we even counter attacked very well. I would've taken a draw before the match....but we wiz robbed not getting the win!
  3. I would have taken a draw before the game but gutted we didn't win that. We were the better side and showed a lot more desire but didn't quite get the breaks going our way. Great team effort. Keep that up and we should break our run of draws with a win next time up.
  4. Best home display yet. Faith restored
  5. Just been reading the BBC sport report on the game today and the picture supplied of Rooney celebrating in front of the away supporters evident by the old man giving him the v in the stand and all the folk wearing county tops etc. This is the caption from eilidh davies the reporter. "Shaun Rooney celebrates his goal in front of the home support". Does this girl not understand football? The last report she did in dingwall at the last derby said the game was being played in Inverness. Not only that but reading further down her report we have apparently fallen down the table to 6th rather than staying 5th. Is the BBC just not giving a toss about football north of perth and hiring 15 year olds to do the reports on a national news site?
  6. Great game of football really enjoyed it today great team performance stand outs were Calder, Ridgers , Rooney , Doran and Oakley great to have him back had he stayed on i think we would have won the game as i thought Daniel was quite poor when he came on Austin would of been a better choice. Think there has been too much hype over Daniel i don't think he is first team yet. Very poor officiating once again how the linesman never saw Billy offside when everyone in North stand did he cost us today on to next week in the words of Foran the win is coming ?
  7. A hugely entertaining game where we outplayed our opponents who were packed with Premiership players earning twice what our players are on or more. How on earth did Doran miss that chance towards the end ? Anyway, loads of positives to take from today. The only negative being that the crowd was two thousand fewer than attended the first derby of the season in Dingwall. If the good folk of Inverness want to retain full time football they really need to support the club with more enthusiasm. No lack of support and enthusiasm though from those who were there especially those in the North Stand outsigning the visitors at the opposite end. Onwards and upwards.
  8. A huge catchment area largely populated by sheep and deer.
  9. Missed opportunity to get three points. It was there for the taking. Hopefully start getting a few wins and get back up the table. Good to see Oakley back and scoring.

The Online Shop being down for so long is in the same vein as the poor Hospitality page (below). No pictures? No info? Bit of a waste being in the most prominent website space. Neither reflects the CEO's marketing background or our director Liam's commercial background. These austerity measures being implemented need to be combined with better efforts to increase revenue than this.
  11. I'd love it if Polly got a Hat trick today. So he can shut kettlewell up after his comments in the p and j. For anyone who didn't read it he said all Inverness fans should remember the contribution his players made to our club. Oh we do Relegation I believe it was.
  12. With the deadline for nominations just 4 days away, I thought it might be an idea to give a brief view on where the Supporters Trust is at and see if anyone has any questions on stuff that's maybe holding them back from getting involved; so here we go... Earlier in the year, months of chat and discontent over the Supporters Trust came to a head and resulted in a push for a Special General Meeting and changes to the Board sitting therein. At that time there were people who indicated that it was an organisation that they might have considered getting involved with if not for the internal challenges that would exist for whoever stepped up at the time. Thanks to the hard work and diligence of those who did step up, the organisation now finds itself in a far better place.... Internal administrative and procedural issues have been rectified. For the first time in what looks like many, many years there's a members list which we have some confidence in and which has allowed us to meet the obligation of better communicating with the members/fans. Dialogue has been opened up with the club and we are represented on the ICT 25th Year Celebrations Committee…with the ICT Supporters Trust Hall of Fame being included on the calendar of events (date tbc). For those of you who don’t know about the Hall of Fame, you can get more info here : https://caleythistleonline.com/index.html/archives/news-archive/news-2007-08/hall-of-fame-2007-awards-r359/ We got off to a bit of a sticky start on the SLO conversation, but there's now a commitment from the club to regularly review and grow that role. The first review is due to take place during November 2018 and we welcome the proactive approach now being taken in this area. It is the shared hope of the ICT Supporters Trust Board that at least some of those who previously saw the above as a barrier to putting themselves forward for the board will now be more comfortable in doing so. Fresh faces bring fresh ideas, fresh energy and a wider focus to any organisation. We all have an opportunity to ensure the ICT Supporters Trust never again becomes stale and unable to meet the purposes for which it exists. That can be from supporting the work of those involved directly with the society or, and this is where we really need your help, by stepping forward and being one of those people joining the board. Applications for board nominations are being accepted up until midday on 6th November and you can find the information and forms at https://drive.google.com/open?id=1PyhLlLxTlBgiMM18U8qJE18CVHQEzD0m : alternatively, drop us an email to [email protected] and someone will assist you from there. We will also have board members on hand at the Stadium Sports Bar (Pie and Pint for a fiver from 12pm) before this weekend's Highland Derby. Come bring us your forms, ask us some questions, sign up for the tenpin bowling night at the end of the month….or just for a bit of idle chit chat! I could finish with any one of a dozen inspirational, cliched call to arms type lines, but it boils down to this…. The ICT Supporters Trust exists to give fans the opportunity for a strong collective voice. If you want that voice to exist, then support it. If you want to be part of that voice, then join it. If you want to help drive that voice, then get your board nomination submitted....NOW!! Thank You
  13. Need to get our own commentary going again.
  14. Very proud to be a caley supporter, gave everything possible today. Showed county that we are their most difficult opponents yet, we don't give up easily and that's what I love about my team, we are one of the most stubborn resolute, hard to break down teams in the league and least we deserved was the draw, but in all honesty our team showed enough quality and fight to win that comfortably and we should all be very proud of all the boys tonight
  15. Before the game I would have gladly taken that result and throughout/afterwards I was delighted with the efforts of the lads. Many deserved a specific mention ... Donaldson, Ridgers, Calder, Polworth, Oakley ... but that should be balanced with the fact that successful teams can eek out wins while playing badly. We were the better team and didn't win from numerous openings in the 2nd half. In a highly competitive league points really do mean prizes. I make no apology for looking for ways / personnel that can help us step up further. Plenty others have their doubts/frustrations with Jordan. Maybe you're content with mid table Championship for ever more but I'd like to see the team I love progress ... and I'm entitled to an opinion.
  16. Is no one allowed to have an opinion?
  17. One of our most entertaining and positive performances of the season and some still take the opportunity to snipe at the latest scapegoat. Can you not be just a little more positive ?
  18. He was my man of the match. Solid in defence, lightening pace tracking back and going forward, good timely tackles and sweet crosses into the box. Carl may struggle to get his place back on that performance.
  19. It was Jordan White that came on as a direct replacement for George. I agree though about George. Had he stayed on I feel sure one of chances might have been put away. I don't like binning one of our own but I think Jordan White is one of the poorest strikers we've ever had. On P & B a few weeks back a non-ICT fan called him the worst player in the league. A bit harsh maybe but the reality is that we need a better back-up for George. Our own young Daniel has great potential but still lacks physicality. Jordan is big but just doesn't seem to impose himself like you'd expect and seems completely unable to jump. Just throwing it out but ... would it be worth ICT trying to lure Shane Sutherland back from Elgin? Or try giving Nathan Austin a bit more game time to breed confidence and get back his goalscoring from end of last season?
  20. Lot's of positives to take from the game. The team can take belief that they more than matched County and can build on this to make a concerted challenge for the league.
  21. 23 league games unbeaten now....a NEW club record
  22. That's twice we have outplayed them, deserved a win but got the draw. Those 4 points would have made a nice difference. But keep going like that and we will do alright. We're going the right way. And remember the disparity in budgets between the two teams.
  23. Think we might just sneak this one. 3-0 home win...double from White and a 25+ yard screamer from Polly.

As a group of professional footballers there should be no need for the manager to have them be motivated tactically or mentally. They should be helping him by doing this themselves. After all it is their job.

A lack of effort - I think I make that clear in the second post. And I don't think anyone in our current side is guilty of that, it's just that most of them fall well short of the playing standard we've been used to over the past decade or so.

3 players that I have deemed worthy of abuse over years: Barry Wilson had the talent to play in the top tier for his whole career, but came to us in the bottom tier so he could jog around on the right touchline in his buttock-hugging XXL shorts. He had me next him for the first half of every home game that season shouting "bit of effort Wilson", and he only told me to feck off twice. Don Cowie downed tools completely at the start of his second season after his head was turned by potential moves darn sarf. Cowie became a millionaire while we got relegated. Utter count. Billy King is a man with no testicles.
