  1. A fine result last night against high flying Ayr United. However, the week's work is only half done. That victory will count for much less if we can't repeat it on Saturday against low lying Patrick Thistle. There is no room for complacency, Patrick are battling to avoid successive relegations but, with the right attitude and loud vocal backing we can retain our promotion chasing momentum.
  2. Ian McCall, a bad loser, surely not. I hope there were no open paint tins about !
  3. What makes this victory a little bit sweeter is that this is the postponed fixture from when Ayr were on great form and we looked highly unlikely to take anything from the game had it gone ahead. ?
  4. Well played Nathan but NO singing on the bus tonight!
  5. Those who were there, McCall said in his post match interview that we had a good 20 minutes and they dominated the rest - McCall sour grapes?
  6. A young 'keeper. One mistake. If he has put it behind him then I think we should as well. Hopefully, Ridgers will be be back on Saturday but, if not, our young custodian will be just fine.
  7. Never in doubt...............
  8. "Well played but we need spondoolicks fer a new striker"
  9. A thousand or so more from the Inverness area and our results and our finances might both improve.
  10. Up a bit just below the shoulder blade down a bit that’s it cheers boss
  11. Right son, cotton wool box for you till our next fixture.
  12. Left leg you say...where did you see it last?
  13. "Right, Nathan, as you're the only one with gloves, you're in nets if Cammy gets injured"
  14. Beating the Jags is an olde Caley habit. As has been alluded to in a number of posts we are better away from the Dump and it is about time that we started putting away teams at home, easing the nervy home support and three points in this type of game are practically essential. I appreciate that young Cammy played his part at Ayr but I really do hope that Ridgers is back. We again have done well but Donaldson and Ridgers are the main men. It will undoubtedly be the same back four. I hope he also persists with the same middle four as they were effective and two holders and two passers is a good combination. Again I suspect that Robbo will go again with Oakley and Austin. Austin may well have saved his place with the Ayr brace. Pity as I liked the look of McCauley.
  15. Agreed all on all fronts. We should be going into Saturdays game full of confidence and with nothing to fear, start brightly and try to blow them away within the first 20-25mins and I doubt they'll have enough to punch back. Having listened to a Gary Caldwell interview with Caleyjag on the radio a couple of weeks ago following one of their games, I'd love to see us do them, his attitude was appalling and treated the interviewer with complete contempt. Another manager to add to the list of dislikes that I currently have.
  16. I don't think we can underestimate just how big a win that could be for us, I'm delighted that my prediction was wrong and I apologise for not having faith. Speaking to Caleyjag a while ago, I said that if someone can go on a decent run they'll either pull away or be right in the mix and I really hope that we can be that team that pushes on and the signs are there, take the frustrating draws away really we are in a good position. Really hoping that those around us keep taking points from each other as well.
  17. Bad error from McCart but he's been pretty solid for us this season regardless of where he was been asked to play in defence. Would like to see him and Donaldson feature as our regular CB pairing.
  18. Love the forum when we win. Sounds like a great game, was resigned to following on Twatter but looking forward to Partick and a nice 4th round tie in Dingewall now
  19. Well thank feck I decided to go - full report in the morning due to Scotrail, bus replacements and Smirnoff. We really could have wasted them. Please tell me that Austin went off injured. Polly and Tremarco were immense.MacDonald looks nippy but lightweight, McAulay looks promising- Cam ain't there other than a replacement but did nothing wrong.
  20. How did Cameron Mackay and Anthony MacDonald look :)? I saw lots of Tweets saying that Anthony was a great signing for us, and regarding Cam, I was worried that the error from Saturday could have affected him?
  21. Well, that must have been a real squeaky bum time for most of the second half. But, how great to finally win a game where all the stats indicate that we should probably have lost it. Makes a nice change. Well done to all concerned. Maybe there is hope for this season after all.....
  22. As you say none of the teams above us are any great shakes. I ve not been impressed by any of the three and how County are sitting at the top only the man upstairs knows. If we find a level of consistency we may just surprise ourselves and everyone around us!
  23. Fantastic result on what was no doubt a difficult night weather wise. Top four, and we can only get better. DU and Ayr are both catchable, and we know County aren't any great shakes. Lot to look forward to for the rest of the season.
  24. Bit of payback after saturday's mugging.
  25. I love the optimism, this is what we need...
  26. Fantastic away win, well done guys.
  27. This doesn't do my old heart any good....well done ICT
  28. You are right there, two happy buses coming up the road tonight well done to all really looking forward to Saturday now.
  29. Maybe a bit backs against the wall in the second half but, nevertheless, a fine away win with a weakened side against a team who have been top two for most of the season. Back in a promotion play off place. More of the same and, not only could we stay there, but given a bit of a rub of the green and a few returning from injury, and it's still not beyond us to win the league and gain automatic promotion. Believe !
  30. Phew. Gotta love ICT for raising my blood pressure but it was all worth it. Fantastic 3 points to pick up on the road. Be a happy trip back up the road for those brave souls that ventured down
  31. We were soundly beaten on all the stats, except the one that matters. ?
  32. I’ll take that. A good 3 points !!!!
  33. Excellent. That will do the confidence a power of good.
  34. Absolutely fantastic result.
  35. Geez, that was excruciating towards the end. Great result though, especially with so many of our best players missing.
  36. 1 point
A result tonight would be good we are more than able enough. Have a safe journey to all going and that you are rewarded for your support.
  37. 1 point
Must go ahead, I'm fed up writing previews for it.
  38. Beginning to look like nobody here much cares where Motherwell might finish in the league this season.
  39. Austin becomes the striker wev been crying out for what a result surely no way back for Ayr now!
