  1. Todorov had a good game v Queen of the South (I was there) and scored a goal but gets dropped today. Why on earth? On his worst day Toddy is better, more industrious, not scared to tackle, than White. I am fed up of White jumping and missing the ball. I am no football manager but fail to see the benefit Robbo sees in playing White week in week out for little return. I would have Todorov starting, with Walsh too and Keatings. Incidentally well done Charlie Trafford, he never gives up despite not being given a regular start. Carson a good signing, improving every game.

  2. Why persist in playing White? He was rubbish again today ?

  3. Sure, Shankland should have been off for elbowing McCart (I've seen the TV footage). Sure, Keatings missed a sitter at 0-1, heading wide of an open goal from 3 yards out. Nevertheless, that was a reality check. For long periods we didn't look like we belonged in the same league as United. Our midfield is a huge problem. Carson and Trafford (and Vincent) don't lack effort but they are rotten in possession. With no chance of them playing a killer pass teams can sit in, concentrate on denying Keatings space and wait for us to punt a high ball at White which he will probably lose (on the occasions he wins it, no one is ever looking for the second ball). God, we miss Welsh. United just looked much more streetwise. The threat of Shankland is enough to induce panic - at the first goal both McCart and Tremarco flung themselves in front of his shot, which left McMullan in space on the right. Rooney got his feet all mixed up and stuck the centre into his own net. He really wasn't the same afterward. Walsh looked bright when he came on but Storey in contrast was dreadful and gave away a stupid penalty with a petulant, unnecessary trip. Not very professional. By then Clark's goal had already killed us off. He put his foot through it but it beat Ridgers at his near post and I feel the goalie should be saving that. After that our heads were gone and it could have been five. Hard to know where we go from here. Aside from starting Walsh we aren't exactly blessed with other options.

  4. We should be so much better than we are. We have good players and a good squad. We have exciting attacking players yet we don't play to their strengths. We bypass them all the time by playing aimless long balls to a striker who doesn't hold the ball or win many headers. We need to get the ball on the deck and get our wingers on the ball because that is where we are most dangerous. This long punts up the park is garbage. Sort it out Robbo.

  5. Why does Robbo persist with White? Out of form at present. Robbo only seems to want to push attacking play when we are down instead of out of the blocks from the start. Hoofing long ball to an out of form striker ain't going to win games. Toddy should be on from the start. I'm beginning to wonder if Robbo is the man to take us up - he seems to lack ideas and imagination. It's the same sh1te each week. Poor and getting worse.

  6. What's fickle about not wanting to watch ***** week in week out couldn't care less what UTDs wage bill is I expect us 2 compete with all the teams in this league my man look at Livi competing in the SPL on a smaller budget than us!

  9. Absolutely never turned up yet again, pretty shambolic from back to front with a management team who are lacking any new ideas. After 2 and a bit years in charge we don't look like a team heading towards promotion any time soon.

  10. Yet again we fail to score and fail to really threaten them in any way whatsoever. If the “go-to” forward can’t do his job (i.e. score goals) and the manager keeps picking him as the first team starter, who’s really to blame? The striker that can’t score or the manager that keeps playing him? Yogi did it with Liam Hughes (remember him?), F*ran did it with Doumbouya, Robbo did it with Baird and is now doing it with White. I’m in agreement with other posts in saying that there’s a lack of passion in the team, it’s been looking that way for quite some time now. Positives? Trafford did well, didn’t give up and looked like he wanted to win, Carson does well in the midfield or defence, just a steady player, thought Walsh did alright for the time he was on, hopefully he’ll be up at full fitness soon, should definitely be starting too. I was getting a coffee during the Shankland/McCart incident and the Tremarco yellow card shortly afterwards so can’t comment on them. Would like to see if they’re in the highlights.

  11. Leaderless and gutless. Terrible ref, yes but we deserved nothing from that. Slow to close down and track back. Storey and White both a waste of shirt. Every time we have a chace to close the gap we bottle it.

  12. Are we going to have another season like we did when Robbo constantly played Baird when everyone could see he was Utter mince .Why oh why are we playing whyte week in week out . Robertson’s team selection today was hard to fathom . Was that actually our best 11 that started ??

  13. Still on the train to Edinburgh, no phone charging points on the Inverness to Perth service, just a train full of half pissed Arabs eating stinking takeaways. A complete waste of a day. Never thought I’d see the day when Trafford was our best player. Curry seems to have earned a run in the team based on that one decent strike last Saturday but I can’t see him stepping up to this level, Hope I’m wrong. Edited to add, I’ve never rated Storey and I’ve no idea why Robbo resigned him. Now you can ask CaleyStan, when Toddy scored on Tuesday night, I turned to him and said “that’ll be White starting on Saturday then...”

  14. Time to go shopping for centre backs, ours used to be so tight, now they are leaking goals at an alarming rate .

  15. ?...well he's the man who signed Storey, so maybe he does need his head looked at.

  16. Everyone seems to see this ... but Robbo. Completely infuriating. I really feel heart sorry for Todorov.

  17. The football is brutal, turgid and boring. I agree that this is Robbo's last chance...

  18. Why drop Toddy? White has being awful last few games. Guess this will be a game of the long ball and no headers won up front

  19. Have you noticed that I look a bit different since this morning? I'm growing my moustache for 30 days and it's not just a bold fashion statement. I'm doing it to raise funds for the Movember Foundation, and I need your support: https://mobro.co/highlanderict?mc=5 Personally, I am supporting the Movember Foundation because just over 1 year ago (October 18th 2018) only a few months after losing a family member to Prostate Cancer, I was diagnosed with it myself. This was a shock to me as like most people I was uninformed, and thought that Prostate Cancer only happens to much older men, and to others, not yourself! But that is not the case. However, Movember is not only about Prostate Cancer, it also supports health and well-being in other areas, most notably raising awareness of Testicular Cancer and also Mental Health and Suicide Prevention. Your donations will help the Movember foundation to stop men dying too young. There are two ways you can contribute to my Mo growing effort: Donate online at https://mobro.co/highlanderict?mc=5 or by scanning this QR code Learn about the important work Movember is funding and the impact your donation will have: https://ca.movember.com/programs/cause?mc=5 There's a lot riding on this moustache, so thank you. I appreciate your support.

  21. Surprisingly, I thought White did win a fair amount of knock-ons. However they were either misdirected or there was nobody around to take advantage. Just an overall poor display against a slick speedy Dundee United.

  22. Yes, there were gasps of shock in the North Stand when he actually won that ball.

  23. White won a great flick-on late in the game, unfortunately no one anticipated him winning it and the ball went safe.?

  24. Ps spoke to Sean Welsh today. He hopes to get surgical boot off in two weeks and maybe back playing around Christmas/New Year time. . Good news.

  25. Very disappointing afternoon: totally outclassed. I would only give pass marks to Trafford and Ridgers, plus Walsh after he came on. Carson did ok, but the rest were poor. Shankland could have been sent off and the ref had some poor decisions but I don’t think that changed things. We were just not good enough. We certainly miss Welsh. At one point I thought Tremarco was losing the plot after his booking but he got a grip. Similarly Rooney would have been a red card risk had he not got injured. McKay should have replaced him rather than Vincent Really hard to work out what we need to change. We go between doing well and doing poorly, so need consistency. A result at Arbroath will help greatly then we can have a breather and focus on the cup for a week. United, despite their recent defeats, are a cut above the other teams, and have shown that against us. We need to be more consistent and aim for, at worst, second.

  26. I beg that White gets dropped entirely. He's pure gash. How about that guy from the Main Stand? He had a better header than any of the players on the field...

  27. Can't understand why Robbo persists with White. He's absolutely unable to hold or head a ball. Given his size he should be winning at least 50% of all balls in the air. Trafford MOM not because he was skilful but more for his effort which was missing in all the others, woeful performance and lucky we only lost 3.

  28. Full time. Just shocking. Both games against them they have walked all over us. May aswell just give them the points at the start. Other results... League....

  29. Chairman moans about crowds. It’s a two-way street. Give the fans something to cheer about! Woeful stuff. Can Robbo not motivate his players? Feeble displays shipping points everywhere.

  38. Hi folks, just a wee note to confirm that the club will again be broadcasting live audio commentary from Sunday's game. Same drill as previous - a link to a Periscope feed will go up on the club's Twitter account 5-10minutes before kickoff. (For the second half, there'll be a new link put up). Hopefully there won't be any horizontal rain like there was at the Alloa game!

  39. Haven’t read any of the previous posts and having been in the fluke since end of game my comments may be alcohol induced. Charlie Trafford totally immense today. Was totally committed and never gave up. Sean Rooney was the same until his unfortunate injury. We didn’t have the class to see off Utd White can’t win a header and his goal scoring record is shocking. No doubt Gregor and his stats will be on shortly but scoring goals against teams in the chocolatecaranelwafer thingy isn’t the same as goals in the league. God knows what his scoring record in the league is. Without Welsh we don’t have the class for that final pass and we are struggling to break teams down. Draws against Alloa getting beat by Morton isn’t the sign of a team going places We are now in the position that we need to win Three more games than Utd this early in the season. Frustrating to say the least ??

    • Dunfermline 1-1 Inverness CT - Report
Out of our hands now: It ended in disappointment for the 319 visiting fans with news that Queens Park had hammered Arbroath 0-5. To rub salt into the wounds, Sheridan and Welsh were amongst the scorers. It's out of our hands now, but it's a must win next Friday and hope Queens Park falter.  Inverness play Morton and Queens play Airdrie. A draw might be enough, but it's a long shot.

I'm not convinced that Billy Mckay was the right man to be taking that penalty, his second failure from the spot in successive games against the Pars.

    • Dunfermline Ath -V- Inverness CT - Preview
Aaron Doran looks likely to have pulled on the Caley Jags strip for the last time after limping off against Raith Rovers last Friday. Sean McAllister returning was a bonus though but the mystery deepens as to why Roddy MacGregor, Austin Samuels and Nikola Ujdur are not featuring either on the injury list or the team list. Baffling to be honest as Roddy has the midfield attributes required, Austin has the speed and potential and Nikola in my opinion, if fit, would be my first choice on the team sheet. Are these guys on the way out? Add to that seven or eight loan players, then next season will see a massive restructure and rebuild at the Caledonian Stadium. I imagine the board members are squirming in their seats like Angela van den Bogerd at a Post Office inquiry.

    • Inverness CT 0-1 Raith Rovers - Report
Inverness threatened the Raith goal and but for Kevin Dabrowski and his bar they could have been dead and buried at the interval. No score at the break and all to play for in the second half. Vaughan opened the scoring early in the second half and Samuel almost levelled but his shot from distance cannoned away off the post. The crossbar was hit a further twice but the goal would not come. Despite peppering the Raith goal, MotM Dabrowski would not be beaten with a string of saves ranging from brilliant to miraculous.

    • Inverness CT -V- Raith Rovers - Preview
The great escape coninues on Friday night at the Caledonian Stadium as we host Raith Rovers in a game that will also be screened live on BBC Scotland with Raith trying to cling on to the coat tails of Dundee United and the Caley Jags looking to slither away from the play-off zone. What could possibly go wrong? Savage and Carragher will be joined in the squad by a welcome returnee in Sean McAllister who has returned fit from Everton after about six weeks out. That's a nice wee bonus for Big Dunc. However, he has the wrath from Arbroath after his "tools down" comment in his pre-match interview. As long as he has not got the wrath from Raith. Keep the faith!

    • Queens Park 0-1 Inverness CT - Report
Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.
