  1. Past hour
  2. Absolutely, the role is one that we just cannot afford. The irony is that if Administration is at all on the cards, he would be the club’s expert on that given his background and no doubt having closely followed every detail of what happened at Rangers!
  3. Not necessarily due to Ferguson’s view on Devine, the problem here is perhaps that Devine’s contract would have been done when we were splashing the cash, but over the last few months we have had to cut costs severely and cannot really afford to retain him on those terms. Even worse now that we are League 1.
  4. Those harping on about Dunc currently being the manager will also remember that he was contracted to keep us in the Championship and has failed to do that so I would imagine we should be able to get rid as he failed to meet the contracted terms? ... Let's hope so because he isn't manager material, assistant yes, but not a manager. We will hopefully save money by being rid of Gardiner, and at least then we might be able to afford an experienced lower league manager - because experience is what we need (Dodds, Ferguson, Foran - all inexperienced and we never learn). No League 1 club needs a CEO and to be fair the tea lady would do a better job than that absolute belter.

  6. Many of them quietly slipped across the bridge and now offer their support to Ross County. Perhaps, after all, they jumped on the right bus!
  7. As I've said on another thread as well as on Twitter, a helluva lot of the "fans" who pitch invaded in response to the Hamilton fan, were one timers and will have never been before or again. The actual fans that entered the pitch went straight over to shout at the board/SG. Just cos you're not willing to take action and protest how our club has been run over the past few years, it doesn't give you the right to label fans who've funnelled thousands of pounds into this club as "neds" cos of their reaction.
  8. I see Jake Davidson won promotion with Hamilton Accies and was relegated with ICT.
  9. Yesterday
  10. Managerially he was last with Cowdenbeath who were bottom of their league when he left. After that he was selling car parts in Dundee. Now got a decent side kick role at ICT.
  11. I was thinking the opposite. Caledonian Thistle for me.
  12. Fix Fix Fix... I mean Well Done @Gringo. Thank you for running it once again I know how much you love it. Enjoy a well deserved few months off before we go again next season.
  13. Well, we have some in common with Man City! I was looking into this question and found that they were relegated with positive goal difference in 1937/38, the season after they had won the league. In terms of the modern era, we might have a pretty unique claim. Found a Guardian article from a few years back that investigated if it had happened in the modern era and, apart from when there were points deductions, the only example they found was in the Greek 3rd division in the late 1990s, but it looks like there was some league restructuring happening because 5 teams in a 12 team league got relegated. ICT - still making history.
  14. Unfortunately most of Inverness doesn't have a clue who these characters are, or could care less about them. That is a large part of our problem in general - we are hardly known in the 'city', and our internal goings on are pure mystery to the general public.
  15. originally they were called "Stogg" but then reverted to "Satisfaction" in about 1973/4. They played mostly Free / Rolling Stones material (I don't recall Hawkwind or Argent covers but I could be wrong!). George Junor is still in Inverness but I don't think he's gigging currently.
  16. It's fairly standard for managers to have a 6 month pay-off in their contracts, even if they do have multiple year deals. This means the club control the cost of sacking them and they can't walk away early without the club getting whatever transfer valuation is also in the contract. There are those on here who refuse to believe otherwise but this was the same with Yogi and Foran.
  17. Pretty sure that's a prerequisite trait for almost all managers though especially in football. Ever seen one to admit they were wrong or change tactics? Unfortunately I think there is a reliance that Dunc had the contact to bring in players from elsewhere with Bollan knowing the scottish game especially lower leagues -Unfortunately dunc underestimated the level and type of players and qualities needed and bollan is proven useless at management and coaching below this level.
  18. What happened yesterday was the result of a lethal concoction we've been taking all season. A combination of multiple factors. The board. Not just Gardiner who seemed to be the focal point for the anger. As if he was responsible for it all. He obviously bears responsibility. As does the rest of the board. Up to and including the chairman. The buck stops with him. The fans. We've always been under supported despite punching above our weight. The day trippers that only turn up for the big games. Where would we be if they all turned up every week I wonder? The "City". I don't class this place as a city. It's a town. For multiple reasons. This town doesn't deserve a Scottish cup winning, European side such as ours that brought prestige by carrying the name of this town and many thousands of travelling fans up here spending their money every weekend. The people. It's quite clear to me now that Inverness is the 3rd most supported team in Inverness which is a depressing statement to have to say. Not only do the people that live here stay away from our club. Many actively detest it. Old firm glory hunters born and raised in this town who would like nothing more than to see us fold and Highland football die off. Leaving everyone having to drive 3 hours down the A9 to watch any kind of football. That's if they survive the journey because of the central belt masters they worship refusing to dual the road. The council. What can you do? a 2% loss of green space on an unused golf course that would have netted us £3.5M. Approved. But the two councillors didn't like the way the vote went so did their best to make sure it didn't go through. Very few of them there actually care about the club obviously. But if your own council doesn't give a toss about you. What hope do we have. But we get what we deserve. This same council is the one that turns academy street into a karting track. Turns the ironworks into an empty lot. Builds a bridge to nowhere. And people still vote them in. It's a vicious circle. But we get the politicians we deserve. Luck. I'll end it with this. I've felt the writing was on the wall for a while now. Maybe we just spilt too many salt shakers. Broke too many mirrors. But you see this happen to many other "big clubs" in the championship. Dunfermline, St Mirren, Falkirk and Hamilton to name a few. If you stagnate for too long in the championship. You will face the drop. Yet again we've had a record breaking points total for being relegated. It doesn't feel like we could have done anything to avoid it. It genuinely felt like this was written for us. I've not really talked about the on field matters much. A lot has been said already which I agree with. To be honest I don't know if any manager would have saved us. We were 3 points off 5th. 1 point of safety, If Billy Mckay's penalty went in against Dunfermline? But it didn't. If luck was on our side maybe it would have.
  19. Last week
  20. For what it's worth! The club didn't have a player of the year so you still have a final chance to vote on this one. Who will it be it's up to you. I will let it run till midweek before doing the totals for the year.

  22. There was no real desire from the team in first half ,it looked as though they couldn’t care less if we lost or won Hamilton on the other hand were going hell for leather to try and grab the game by the scruff of the neck and succeed in doing so we only started to threaten Hamilton when the subs were brought on if the same attitude exsisting Saturday we will definitely be relegated and how Ferguson thinks one goal will suffice is beyond me
  23. Yes the Crysler V8 a beautiful sound but a bit thirsty

  28. I find myself more and more comparing ICT with Everton - which may not be a coincidence for evident reasons. Everton in true Dyche style concentrate on tentative defending and much of the play is side to side and backwards. Pinching a one goal win has become the norm. Lack of stimulation and entertainment is also a norm. Survival is the main aim. Everton have played most of the season with one man up front - often not an actual forward - but that person is usually a 6 footer and the only Plan B is the hoof from Pickford. But when you compare Samuel and McKay to Calvert-Lewin, Beto and Doucoure - well ?!! Everton also have the options of McNeil and Harrison. Thats why I would love to see Harper playing higher up and Lawal using his pace out wide.
