  • Might turn out to be a decent appointment. Certainly got his work cut out for him

  • Leaves after 9 (nine!) games! What a joke County are.

  • Channel 4 are making a documentary about Calderwood's time in charge of County called 'Big Fat Gypsy Manager'.

Both Jimmy and County may be grasping at straws.

Yer man has taken up the challenge until the end of the season apparently....

Woops - just noticed it is covered in the McStay post - feel free to relegate :tongueincheek:

Great appointment for County, has his work cut out but he is the sort of manager they were in need of.

I can't believe, with a record like Jimmy's, that he'd need to go bargain basement in SFL1. I thought an SPL, Championship or EPL1 team would have noticed his before and after at Aberdeen and Dunfermline and thought he was worth a punt (Killie did of course - I suspect JC might be regretting turning that down now)

Gutted!

That's a great aquasition for them. Tinks.

Tangoman is a decent manager but can he get what he needs out of the squad he's inherited? Its the same players that McStay failed with

It's also mainly the same players that got to the final of the scottish cup last season .

fair play to county they went out and got a gun for hire with the hope of staying up in the 1st. shame they will prob use all the final money to bring in calderwood only to have him short term and just to avoid not going down a division!

Calderwood has a pretty decent record in management in Scottish football and County have a reasonable squad who have underperformed. I would be surprised if County did not improve and would expect them to end the season in mid table safety.

I look forward to being proven completely wrong.

I think he may be a manager of few words.

I heard that he didnt speak to some players for days at Aberdeen(must have been for not playing well enough in his eyes), If he wont even speak to Aberdeen players then why would he want to speak to County players.

His next words at County may be 'Bye I'm away on my summer holidays'

Calderwood's had an impact already.

I popped down to the ground this morning and they were moving the dug-outs to the other side of the pitch.

Apparently you get more sunshine there.

Spotted in morrisons at 6pm Craig Brewster buying 2 bottles of champagne. I wonder what he is celebrating assist manager again perhaps?

Probably, would be a good move for all parties concerned. :tongueincheek:

According to the Ross-Shire Journal online, Brewster won't be going back to County.

Maybe he just drinks champers on a saturday night then! lol

Just like County, he is keeping it in the family.

He has appointed his son, Scott as his assistant. Meh.

They're not a family club, you know?

Hey ! look what i saw yesterday arriving at Victoria park dungwell.......
