January transfer window.

With January only 3-4 weeks away, I thought I'd start a thread for the January window, only for players we know of so no rumours as that is what rumour section is for.

It looks very likely that Conor Henderson will be signed up as he had a successful trial period.

Also, its imperative that Miles Storey gets signed up.  Not too sure about Tobi Sho-Silva so will leave it to you guys to discuss lol.

For me, we need 1 or 2 strikers but if Henderson is signed, then it will be 1 striker due to fact only 1 or 2 players are rumoured to be all John will be allowed.

Wouldn't mind seeing Darren Murray signed up eiti but he is contracted to a club so is unlikely to happen :(.

DAILY RECORD TRANSFER DEALINE PAGE HAS JUST PUT THIS UP

Greg Tansey’s move from Inverness to Aberdeen is dead in the water.

It is believed that Aberdeen are fuming with ICT after they pulled the plug on the deal for the midfielder.

Sounds like it was never on or it was some dodgy deal coming out of Aberdeen . Whatever he is apparently with us until at least end of season . Perhaps initial posts that the club had failed the supporters were unfounded.

Aberdeen are a joke they know the price, either pay it or sod off

imagine going into tesco and asking if you can pay the price for a loaf of bread off over 3 years

So now we still have Tansey(good news), plus another midfielder, Williams, (presumably brought in because the board expected Tansey to go), and possibly even another midfielder, Hughes. But still no sign of another goal scorer.  Strange goings on!  But I suppose there is still more than an hour to go!

BUT what does Tansey think ?

Have been wondering that too!

I'm worried. Still too long to go. Only comfort is I think Aberdeen are too cheap to come up with the dosh.

Suspect he was the one calling it off

Keith Jackson tweets:

"Aberdeen's bid for ICT's Tansey has collapsed under a tsunami of bad blood between both clubs. Won't happen now. Storm brewing."

"ICT unhappy with Aberdeen's conduct. Aberdeen believe the player has been shafted. Much unhappiness."

Should make for a cracking atmosphere when the Dons come a calling later in the month....injury time winner for ICT courtesy of a Tansey pile driver from 30 yards ?

I have heard Aberdeen have been tapping up Greg but it was only on Twitter. I am sure we will find out all the details in the next few days.

Quinn leaves Aberdeen for county, Goodwillie bails out and Tansey doesn't fancy the Dandy Dons just maybe something brewing with the sheep behind the scenes !!

Well maybe they expect their challenge to Celtic to fade away on Wednesday.

Well, this thread has perked up the site.

Robson may be past his very best but it wasn't that long ago when I watched him skin a defense when he played for Vancouver  with brilliant footie and then beat the goalie with a great shot. Superb run and shot,. Showed the younger element, who were mostly about all " puff and pass", a thing or two. Unless he was given a reasonably commanding role in midfield then he might not be the answer but he certainly has shown over the years how much of a football brain he does have so....?

If that's true then it suggests Tansey was keen on the move.  Never mind tensions between the clubs, I doubt it will do much for togetherness in the dressing room here.

Well, its after midnight yet we've only signed 1, possibly 2 (Hughes signed?) yet no sign of a striker, unless there is late news!

This club is a shambles and bothour chairman AND manager need questioned as to why no striker was signed when we are in desperate need of one!!!!!!!

So this window only saw us sign Ryan Williams, Miles Storey and Alex Fisher, that is a disgrace!!!

Only positive is that nobody left but tbh, he probably feels he should have.

You start by saying there's no sign of a striker to be signed and then mention we sign two strikers....

We didn't lose anyone in the window, signed 3, possibly 4 (yet to be confirmed) and you think that's a disgrace?  :whoosh:

Well looks like we got away with it. Will Tansey be leaving in the summer with another winners medal in his pocket, his stock even higher and commanding the right fee? Definately off, imo especially now that everyone knows the release clause and will be watching. I'd trade him a free transfer for some more Scottish cup glory.

Think a few folk need a reality check, since winning the cup is it not glaringly obvious how much financial strain there is on the club?

We are lucky that the core of the team want to be here despite no long term assurances, just one year contracts etc. I'm afraid that is not the fault of the manager or chairman but rather a reflection on the state of modern football.

Heard it was tansey and his agent that got SFA involved, both fuming at ICT for not letting him go. If this is true I would have preferred him to leave instead of having a player who doesn't want to be at the club.  Won't be surprised if he doesn't play for us again.
