That was one of the most ill disciplined, uncreative, unconvincing, lacklustre ICT performances I have witnessed.Thankfully I'm in a good parking space,for a speedy exit !!!!!

The club don't/won't "own" the original leasehold as that is/was a separate contract....transferring a lease is not a simple or straight forward affair as it needs agreeing by the landowner etc. What the club do have is a rock solid sub-lease....so we've got no worries about being turfed off the land or being priced out of existence on rent for that. As sad as this may seem, it was actually a little emotional for me to have got the news on this. I fought hard for assurances that the clubs position was protected after the new stands were built and things were being shuffled around. That dragged on for a few years and, as some may remember, I actually got "sacked" as a volunteer at the club over it. When Kenny Cameron made a return to the club he arranged for me to meet David Sutherland who made me promises in regards to the club being looked after. Because I wouldn't (couldn't) share information I was given at the time I was accused of all sorts by fellow fans and had to just take it on the chin. That was about 6 or 7 years ago. Today saw that promise delivered and, for me, a little vindication.

Warren has looked shaky this season, but he hasn't been helped by having a player who can't tackle and who has no pace - Iain Vigurs - playing ahead of him in deep midfield all season. I understand the thinking behind playing Draper further forward earlier this season, but why on earth Vigurs has consistently been preferred to Polworth in the centre when both have been available is completely beyond me and is, imho, probably the most significant factor in using having the worst defensive record in the league. It was shown again with the opener today, when Craig seemed able to just stroll onto the ball, completely untroubled. I'll defend Tansey to some extent against the criticism he's getting - I thought he put in a decent shift today, although he did misplace a few passes and overhit a couple of balls. Also, he, and Cole, and King, all seemed absolutely incapable of getting off a shot today: in the period from about 25-40 minutes where we had most of the possession, we did play some OK stuff, but whenever we got to about 20-25 yards out, whoever was on the ball just seemed to want to move it across the front of the Saints defence rather than trying to work an opening or testing the goalkeeper. It's possible, I suppose, that Foran had told then to try to get in closer rather than firing off the sort of speculative 35-yarders that we saw last week, but it felt like almost the opposite extreme today. Obviously we have been pretty unlucky again with injuries recently, but given the lack of penetration we have up front, the lack of dig and pace we have in midfield, and our woeful defensive record, there's absolutely no reason why we shouldn't be among the favourites to go down.

Any Saints fan or neutral may well conclude today that ICT are a bunch of uncultured thugs, incapable of playing football, or defending, or attacking. They might also conclude that we are the worst team they have seen this season, that we are getting relegated and that the league will be better without us. And based purely on today, it would be hard for me to disagree.

Just seeing a story on front page of courier this morning saying Tullochs are to gift the stands to the club, giving them complete ownership of them and will mean no longer paying a rent to Tullochs. Big bonus for the club not having that financial burden over them

Lots of disappointment and fear for the future here ... but we are still the only league team to have taken points off Celtic. It just seems that when we are bad, we're awful. I wasn't at the game today. My son's primary school supplied ball boys to Borough Briggs so I took in Elgin's demolition of Montrose ably assisted by man of the match, ex-ICT Shane Sutherland. As someone who trekked down to Alloa (with family in tow) midweek early season for the League Cup horror show, I fear all the ingredients may be set for another humbling cup upset if we don't pick up our ideas over the next few weeks. Given some of the songs I heard today, some of the good folks of Elgin may be thinking the same thing.

It was safe enough standing in the west stand up through the divisions 'ocg' without having to pay at least £100 per standing area/seat.

Seen him a lot in the Dev league, and is solid, pacy, decent pass on him, and very vocal. I liked the bit of pace and forward thinking movement that wee Ali provided too. Id like to see the youth given a chance in the coming games...why not? If nothing else, they would show some will to win and hold on to that place in the team... today was disgusting. Toothless. Depressing. And predictable. I'm not gonna get on Richie's back yet, but things need shaken up a wee bit. Too predictable.

Absolutely depressing stuff today. Struggling to think of any real positives at all. We were shocking at the back, had no real control in midfield and struggled to create much of note up front. Our sole tactic of lobbing it towards Doumbouya was easily handled by Anderson and Shaughnessy. With no Plan B Saints rarely looked troubled and ended up with a deserved win. First goal was really poor tracking of Liam Craig who burst into the box and was found by Maclean and the ball was quickly poked beyond Fon Williams. Second came from a free kick which wasn't cleared and Davidson turned the ball in whist the third came late on with our makeshift defence all at sea and Swanson danced inside what was left of it before finding the net. Sending off seemed justified. I can't remember the first yellow but it was a warranted second yellow and Warren had struggled for most of the game to deal with Swanson running right at him. Whilst our players seemed to take a touch of the ball to get it down and kill the forward movement Saint Johnstone continuously looked to attack and get forward. We had a lot of the ball but any time we got into the final third we couldn't break down the Saints defence and just passed the ball or ran across the edge of the penalty area before either shooting wide or passing the ball out for a throw in. It was similar to some of the toothless displays under Hughes last season. Five red cards in the last eight games in Perth. State of that. Referee was laughably bad.

If the supporters can see it why can't the manager? We will see how the defence performs without him. You can't win games if you concede goals, Paul Hartley decided to change the emphasis having lost his two strikers and it's paid dividends. I said last season in defence of Hughes he won us many points despite injuries and suspensions just by the way he set up the team and our style of play. The supporters didn't like the style of play, are you enjoying it now?

Awful. Just awful. Can't believe Gary has a contract for another 2 seasons after this.Ideally he should be hanging up his boots. Maybe kept on as a coach. He can't play at this level any more. Although I suppose we may not be at this level anyway.

we should not expect to lose to St Johnstone .. Celtic yes, Aberdeen perhaps, but we should always go into a match with STJ with high hopes as we should be evenly matched.

Err, I have this thing called a phone where people at the game can update me. I also have my own eyes and those two have been rank pretty much everytime they've played together.

I have a good feeling about the game and in spite of our injuries I think we will take something from it. Our record there is not great but these can always change. Pressure is on the home team today, as they will be seen as favourites.

Personally, I think that the if you are doing nothing wrong you have nothing to fear argument is rather naïve and misses the point. Any government does, of course, have an obligation to counter crime and particularly terrorism and to keep it's citizens safe but any much measures have to be proportional and balanced against the basic human right to personal privacy. In days gone by any interference with mail or telephone tapping had to be personally authorised by the Home Secretary and such cases typically numbered no more than a few hundred a year. Now we have a system that gives the government carte blanche to monitor the modern day equivalent communications of tens of millions of ordinary citizens at the whim of relatively junior officers at GCHQ possibly on the basis that someone is in possession of dangerously brown skin pigment or may be known to be vocal in their local mosque Even if you trust the current UK government to use these rights responsibly and proportionately to you not think that the CIA has considerable access to our intelligence community and do you really believe that the incoming US administration are interested in any human rights, except perhaps for the right of it's own nutters to bear arms, far less the basic right not to be pried on by the state. There is no doubt that the legislation needed to be updated to take account of technological developments and, more particularly geo political changed in the world but this piece of legislation shifts the balance too far.

Pretty amazing night last night !!! The final score was 3-2 to Toronto so 5-5 on aggregate. Toronto then scored twice in extra-time to win it and progress to the MLS Cup Final which will take place on the 10th here in Toronto :) Atmosphere was amazing. Heres a few videos I took last night. Interesting thread! Certainly, Tansey's not been very consistent over the past 12 months: Crisis in confidence? Eyes elsewhere? Asked to play a different role? Who knows? I said at the time that we might have been better taking the cash from Aberdeen when offered, rather than risking losing him for free, which almost certainly happen at the end of this season. I agree with the comment above about Polworth - IHE's suggestion of Tansey for Storey + cash in Jan is a cracker!

The Guardian reports that this (The Investigatory Powers Act) went through parliament with barely a whimper. I think it is important to reflect why any opposition was relatively token rather than full on. It is easy to brand such legislation as a "snoopers charters" but the reality is quite different. I'm sure we all worry about our privacy, but personally, I worry about my freedom more. The Act may give the authorities new and extensive powers but I am firmly of the view that if you are a law abiding citizen you have nothing to fear. Why on earth would the authorities waste time watching everything we do? What is important is that the authorities have the necessary powers to collect evidence to address the kind of crimes that threaten us. With massive advances in modern technology going hand in hand with the rise in cyber crime, terrorism etc it is important that those protecting our freedoms have the necessary legal powers. One Lib Dem peer is reported to have argued that the danger of this type of legislation is that if we were to have a far more repressive Government, then the powers in this act would allow them to monitor us as you suggest. But the thing is, if such a Government as that was to come into power without the legislation being in place, they would either put the legislation in place or just do it anyway. Senior political leaders are privy to information that we are not. They will know what the authorities assess the threats to our freedoms to be. I am sure it is their recognition of the threats we face and the powers required to combat them that led them to only lip service opposition. Whilst I understand a feeling of unease, I think this is probably a necessary reflection of the times we live in.

I blame Westminster.
