  1. Can we now banish the 'Pride of the Highlands' logo now please it's just adding to the embarrassment? Thank you.

  3. Not surprised : gave up after the second went in. Just when you think they can't possibly get any worse they come up with another blinder. The board should have bitten the bullet months ago and kicked RF down the A9. No shape, no passion, no game plan (other than the aimless punt upfield) and not even a pale shadow of ICT teams of past seasons : even when we played in lower leagues. Everyone involved in this worst ever season in our history should hang there heads in shame.

  4. Hats off to any of our fans staying in the stadium to the bitter end, it must be excruciating being there!

  5. I believe Charlie was never convinced about Foran's credentials. Why is nobody on the board listening to a club legend who has more insight and knowledge about the game than they will ever have? Why didn't they listen to him last year?

  6. Foran after match - GTF - blame the players - shocking - totally contradicted himself. Supporting the board - GTF - the non verbals suggest he is fecked. Please, please go before it kills you. Wave the white flag and stop protecting the board. Let's have a clip with the pre match and post match comments and a comment on what we are paying Malice Mispass, for what and why he sat comfortably in the stand all night and probably in the Heathmount all Feckin night.

  7. I owe a lot of fellow posters a profound apology. You argued that there should be change in January to save our season and our Premiership status, I argued that Foran had potential and should be given time to put things right. I am so very sorry, you were all right and I was entirely wrong. Foran is getting worse as the season goes on rather than better, It's quite clear now that he can't coach, he is no tactician and he can't inspire and that he is never going to be capable of doing these things. His attempt this evening to heap blame on the players rather than take any responsibility himself was contemptible. The players are good enough for mid table. The manager has proved that he is not good enough for the Highland League. The fight for Premiership survival is lost. Nevertheless, we can't drift for the rest of the season. Foran needs to be gone by Monday either of his own volition or at the hands of the increasingly discredited board. This season is lost and was a complete shambles. We need now to get someone who can manage in to start preparing for life in the Championship to give us any chance at all of recovery.

  8. TBH, I think the goodwill has already gone, likewise dignity. I like the individual and the player, but he must, must, must know that he's miles out of his depth, but hasn't got the grace and b@lls to admit it and do the honourable thing for the greater good. Completely deluded or arrogant? I can't work out which....

  10. Total embarrassment. I said weeks ago we were down, 4 wins all season, is shocking. I'm sure Foran will come out with his usual sob story after this. If he had any decency he'd walk.

  13. There was a lot to take in and Barry Wilson was chipping in too so between them both they touched on .squad size too big, no opportunities for U20's, players wages structure, lack of proper scouting network, concern in youth for about job security, players signed without someone looking at them, an SPL club selling merchandise out of a portakabin, no crowd bounce despite cup win, Foran saying he "needs men" - Charlie rubbishing that and saying we need committed footballers. "Defending is the easy bit of the game". RF wanting a team of 11 RF's. Lack of a team shape, trying to play with a no 10 using players who aren't no10's. Losing the dressing room. Not investing transfer windfalls. What was going wrong tactically on the night. Comparison with slicker club operation at County. Some fans having unrealistic expectations. Recognition of Roy McGregor and plea for ICTFC benefactor to step forward. I sensed he was as angry as the rest of us. There was just no doubting his passion for club and disappointment. Really was a must listen.

  14. I can't (or can I) believe Ritchie has come out and said we just need 4 wins / 12 points - he has lost the plot as have the Board!

  15. Let's get somebody in charge with some footballing sense. What pisses me off is that everybody is having a go at Foran NOW whereas most punters saw this coming at Xmas. The backers of Foran - our Board - are to blame. Foran has been the sacrificial cheap joint of lamb but the Board have to admit that ultimately 1 star is not enuff. if Foran goes so should Cameron

  23. There is no confidence, belief or fight in the players. That's is what the manager is supposed to instil in them. Amazing when you consider what Foran was like as a player.

  24. Foran MUST go now! not next week or the end of the season. The man is a disgrace who has no footballing ideas. Most of ICT players were part of a good team until Foran took charge! The rebuilding must start tomorrow.

  26. There's never been a time in our history when our fans have been so subdued and pessimistic. Even in our (previous) relegation season we always maintained hope and belief, right into injury time of the final game, justified by the team's passion and ability to get results. However, a win v County could restore our long lost optimism. Come on ICT, give us something to believe in.

  27. The club is a shambles. From top to bottom change is needed across all levels - Board, coaching, players. I have lived across the UK and in every place I have lived I've followed and supported the local team - that was until I came to Inverness. The product being sold being the stadium, the team, the vision is non existent. The engagement with the city is really poor - I coached school level for 6 years and there was virtually no engagement of any sort from the club, in fact a senior member at the club actively disengaged with the coaches. Fans are treated badly, the Board - well if they operated like that in a business world they would be sacked or bankrupt. ICT has massive potential but only with a young, fresh forward looking positive board.

  28. I don't think we will have much say in who we are keeping as most are out of contract or on loan. I can't see Fisher staying especially if Ritchie remains in charge. Relegation will likely see us having to start from scratch which is a huge worry!!!

  29. ...just another throw of the dice from a manager without a clue. There may have been some method in his madness because it sounded like Vigurs did OK for the first half hour....but his faith in Vigurs throughout the season, irrespective of performance has been a major contributor.

  30. In that case I agree with his sentiment, but Richie should have realised months ago - as we all did - that he is far out of his depth and should let someone else take over to avoid ruining a club he claims to love so much. I'm not saying Richie can't make a good manager, but it's clear he simply wasn't ready when given the job. I thought he'd be manager one day - retire from playing, join the coaching staff, promotion to assistant, then one day, given the big job. It was apparent very early on that he was rushed through too early. He should have put his ego aside months ago and stepped back.

  33. Should have gone months ago. I'll not be back until he's punted and the fool(s) that gave him a 4 year contract are sacked. This group of players were capable of 6th and we're getting relegated without a whimper and with a great deal of indiscipline. Where's the leadership? Warren, Cole, Polworth and probably Mulraney all banned at a critical part of the season. What about all those training injuries? Apparently Fisher's currently at right back....eh? please, Richie: Admit defeat and give us half a chance to regroup next season and at least compete... I will not be back to watch this garbage as long as you're there, pal.

  44. Of course they will re-select them.....because if found guilty, they are talking about a one year jail sentence as a maximum, in anything I have read. You have to get sentenced to over a year in jail to automatically lose your seat and trigger a by-election. Under a year, voters can petition to have their constituency MP removed if 10% of his/her electorate sign it...or the amusingly named "Commons Committee on Standards in Public Life" can decide, if a less than 12 month jail sentence was for a heinous enough crime that would warrant being removed, to do that. I think that any MP jailed for anything at all should be removing themselves as unfit to hold a responsible position in the Government of the country....but that would imply some measure of morality among our ruling elite....and few of them do morality.. or empathy...or even basic thinking past the ends of their noses. Given prisoner's can't even vote...why should it be acceptable for prisoners to be MPs? I often wonder if that was the reason for Parliament deciding that it doesn't matter to the general public if their well paid representatives become jailbirds, thus making it impossible for them to do their jobs, and then choosing a maximum sentence length to coincide nicely with the worst that could happen if an MP was found guilty of election fraud? In an independent Scotland...let's not allow our legislators to write their own contracts of employment....we'll do it for them....something more on the lines of an employment contract in any business...where performances are expected to be at least adequate, and less than that gets you a warning to pull your socks up...and failure to improve means you get sacked...and one with a strict gross misconduct clause...with real penalties for transgressions. Keeping their basic salary, expenses and perks might then concentrate MPs minds on more than just working out ways to get more money on the back of being MPs.

  45. I fear you are right RiG. My preference would be to go with: Fon Williams Raven Laing McCart McNaughton Draper Tansey Mulraney Polworth King McKay .....with the option of subbing any of the midfield 5 not performing with Fisher and going 4-4-2.

Administration pending, unless... How can we go from SupercaleygoballisticCelticareatrocious in the year 2000, to Scottish Cup Winners in 2015, playing in Europe and just 9 years after lifting the Cup; Administration. Mismanagement and our demise was hastened by the appointment of Scot Gardiner. Ever since then, ludicrous decision making has seen our stock plummet whilst 'shady' dealings were investigated. The failed Concert Company, the Battery Storage, the Statkraft contract have all ended badly leaving the club facing insolvency.

That's another fine mess you've got us into.

      Chairman Ross Morrison resigns

Nothing official from the club as we speak, but the Inverness Courier are running with a story that Ross Morrison has resigned at 18:00 tonight 3rd June.  More to come as this story develops, but most fans are looking for more heads to roll.

Speaking exclusively to The Inverness Courier, Mr Morrison said he is leaving now because of the aftermath of the Fife move. “I believe it [the move to Fife] is the best way forward and I have to stick with my beliefs,” Mr Morrison said. “This is the reason I'm stepping down now.”

Reflecting on his time with the Caley Thistle, Mr Morrison said: “My six-year tenure with the club has had some great and some not so great times but through everything I was immensely proud to be the chairman of the club and clubs I’ve supported for 50 years - I was a Jaggie by the way.

“I would ask the fans to rally round the club at this time and show their support by not only purchasing their season tickets but also getting involved directly with the club to see how they can help.

“Hearing fans saying they would prefer administration to training the first team in Kelty sent a shiver down my spine. Administration is a desperate thing to happen to a club and must, at all cost, not happen to ICTFC.”
