  1. Agreed tm4tj. Polly should be dropped, that kind of attitude will drag down the dressingroom
  2. Scotland international, top striker, won promotion previously for Inverness. He has nothing to prove, unlike most of his players. Our fans need to give us all a break and get off the guys back. He and we need this like a hole in the head. Oh boo hoo hoo, he slagged off the players. If they can't take it, they shouldn't be here. It's easy to forget the blemishes of guys who were legends here. Let's not forget that they too had their critics and poor moments. Robbo has not suited some folk since he came back. Well tough, he's here, let's back him until the board see fit to remove him.
  3. I thought Vigars was outstanding yesterday but he had players he could play one's and two's off. Polworth had nobody to help him up front . I think before we proportion blame on polworths poor game we should look at the mediocre players in frount and alongside him some appeared to be unable to run let alone play football. I am not condoning him he should be able to control himself but you must understand the frustration he must feel week in week out surrounded by players who don't have a clue.
  4. I just wish he had shown as much fight on the pitch. Every time he had a misplaced pass, and there were quite a few of them, his shoulders slumped, head went down and didn’t try and win back the ball. His coat’s on a shoogly peg after this.
  5. Thanks Milescott for pointing out what everyone seems to have missed while piling on. Kellacher is a coach, he has coached the team through relegation to near relegation again in two seasons, him and Rice need to go. I wasn't at the game so didn't hear what was said but in anycase, he is a coach and should never say anything to the players during a game except positive enforcement. You have cleared up the mystery of why a shy, pleasant young man should publically explode with such rage, and if indeed he said or did anything to warrant "disgraceful behaviour Kellacher," from the crowd, his desk should be cleared and its contents left in a box at the front door on Monday morning. Like I said, I wasn't at the game, I was at the QOS match in the main stand and like everyone, endured a dull 90 mins with an overall poor performance. But that's not the reason I didn't go, I am a supporter and cheer on the team at every opportunity, good or bad. It was because of the morons who seem dispersed throughout the main stand who think its ok to shout abuse at players far less support the team. The abuse is usually aimed at Polworth or Vigors and this is just not on. Some may make the argument that they have paid money and are entitled to shout abuse, that is just not true. No one has the right to shout abuse and if you do it to your own players, shame on you. No, I didn't go to the game because several times I had to talk myself of the ledge just so I did not go to one of these abusers and point out the error of their ways. If you are one of those people, stay at home, shout at the dog, do whatever but leave the stands to those who go and support the team. I will be back next home game but I will not sit in silence anymore and I would urge anyone who has their game spoiled by some idiot to stand up and say something because I will. These people need to know their behaviour is not welcome. Vigors may be in the twighlight of his career and may not have much option than to play out the end of his days under a torrent of bile but that is not the case for Polworth. He was out of favour with Hughes and played out of position, Foran always played him out of position, right-back against Elgin FFS? He was trapped into a three-year deal on a fraction of the money others get and the club including Rice/Kellacher have done little to nurture and bring him on. So when another club comes in and makes an offer in the next two windows, don't be surprised when he grabs his kit and leaves and who can blame him. The way he has and is being treated is disgraceful and he will be driven out of the club by the "supporters." Sad thing is, that would be the best thing for him.
  6. Why should fans get off the managers back? If he can't take it he shouldn't be here. The achievements you've listed were all more than a decade ago. All he's offered since his arrival is signing total duds and calling the team useless. What is he doing about it? You are right, he's here and, as with Foran and Kenny Cameron, he has a backer in the boardroom. The fact that we're also paying for previous mistakes means he's probably unsackable. He might resign I suppose, but I think that's unlikely.
  7. I'm not surprised that the team are frustrated and angry. For more than two seasons we've had managers who don't take responsibility and slate the players every time something goes wrong. Off the top of my head the squad have been told they think they are better than they are, that they aren't real men, they aren't tough, they don't want to make sacrifices, they are bad apples. The managers saying this haven't signed any players who have added to the squad, in fact they've added players who are noticeably worse. They haven't been able to coach or make tactical adjustments to get results. They have dropped or refused to play some of our best players for non-footballing reasons while signing utter dross. It must be extremely frustrating to play through that and have the manager insult you continually. It's a sign of a manager completely out of his depth - we saw it last season with Foran and we are seeing it again with Robertson. Sadly we are in the same situation we were in with Foran, a manager so close to figures at the club that he's nigh on impossible to get rid of. worth saying that Kellacher is a good coach and works well with the squad. I understand he took a lot of the slack at various points last season and it could be that he was just in the wrong place yesterday.
  8. I've given young MacKay three for around four minutes on the pitch, both for his performance and energy, and for reminding us there is hope for the future!
  9. Absolutely agree with that. The abuse of Polworth was coming loud and clear from the North Stand as well. I really find it quite disgusting that some so called fans abuse the players in this way. There really is no better way to demotivate players of your own team than shouting abuse at them. Some of these people might as well sit in the South Stand for all the "support" they give our lads. OK, so apart from a great goal, Polworth was very poor today, but in no way does that justify the abuse. He was poor but he tried. He always tries and when he fouls up you can see by his reaction that he's every bit as annoyed at himself as any fan is. Actually, that is part of his problem - he shouldn't react like that, he should immediately work to get the ball back / get in position. By all means roll your eyes and quietly mutter a few expletives when players mess up. But then when they do something half decent give your support be it vocal or clapping or both. Players need that support and encouragement, especially in situations like now when their confidence is shot. Supporters support. It really isn't a very hard concept to grasp.
  10. From the board statement "The two ladies that run the supporters’ trust and the buses have been vilified by these fans online. (Using) abusive language and expletives and they should never be put in that position. We feel we’ve taken the right action. "They raised a charter against us and said they weren’t coming back. I believe the following week, a number of them went to Ross County and were ejected again. We know who the ringleaders are and they’ve not been discreet online." These aren't real Caley fans are they?...they're idiots (and somewhat unpleasant ones at that) who've attached themselves to the club, and make trouble. Sounds like a very small group, who need to be kept out until, and if they learn some commonsense and good grace. The rest of the young supporters in the group should be actively encouraged to come and make the noise they do.
  11. I don't think the board are backtracking at all - think they are giving these guys a second chance, which they would be well advised to take. The neddish behaviour is completely out of order, personally, I think Graeme Rae is being fairly magnanimous here. Going to a game & vandalising seats/buses & online abuse is something these guys could end up with a criminal record for - nobody wants that. Hopefully the ban has made them realise that 'actions have consequences' that could have been worse for them. If the ban is lifted, after this dialogue, they cone back, enjoy the game (although in fairness, that's hard to for any of us right now!) & behave themselves, that's the best outcome.
  12. This is clearly a very serious incident and would appear to be a very public manifestation of serious tensions within the club. I would expect the Chairman to take personal control of a thorough investigation of not only the incident itself but of the underlying issues. Given the incident is in the public domain, I would expect an early and very brief public statement to that effect. If what Milescott says is correct then I doubt we will be seeing anything more of Kellacher at the club. As for Polworth, he cannot possibly get off without some significant punishment from the club but I do have some sympathy for the lad. He was subjected to some disgraceful abuse from some so-called "supporters". He will have been angry about that and angry at himself for a sub standard performance after the early boost of a goal. In those circumstances, what the lad should have got was some kind words of consolation from the coaching staff. If Kellacher abused him as reported above then it is understandable if Polworth flipped. As I say, whatever the truth, Polworth must receive some punishment but he also needs the right people to talk things through with. Analysing how he deals both on and off the pitch with frustrations about his performance levels should help him to be a better player. Getting rid of Kellacher and bringing in a sports psychologist would be a good swop.
  13. Scotland the banter years then ?
  14. Perhaps similar things have happened in the dressing room of late and this is them boiling over into the public sphere...
  15. Is that the stuff about the Earth being flat?
  16. He also doesn't have any credit in the bank to allow him to do so. The players will be looking at this guy who hasn't had a job in years and has brought in a load of total duds and think, why should we take this? Why should I redouble my efforts? I remember Paterson and Butcher slating some of the players at times but they had earned the right to do it. Robertson hasn't.
  17. How many time has Robbo slagged off the team in public this season? Three times already isn't it? No wonder tensions are high when the players are getting almost continually rinsed by the manager.
  18. I’m not sure Polwarth’s ‘body language’ is much of a guide. I saw him playing aged about 14, and he had the same slightly hunched run, looked gloomy, but had a fantastic game. On the other hand, at that age, Ryan Christie looked like an enthusiastic Labrador puppy, chasing absolutely everything. The degree of abuse Polworth receives, must depend on where you sit. There’s a bloke near me in the main stand who shouts at him, but he shouts at several other players who he also seems to dislike. On the other hand, he’s also generally against keeping the ball, and in favour of lumping it long - and when they do, he shouts at Baird for his ridiculous failing of being shorter than the opposing Centre Backs. So, he shouts his opinions at most things and Polworth is just one of a long list of apparent irritants. If they can do it, players must be better off ignoring the crowd as far as possible.
  19. Maybe Polly took the last pie
  20. I wrote this without reading what other fans have said so my comments would be original and not coloured by others , I will read their observations later Taking into account the standard of the opposition the overall result was more or less as expected. so the score line was good. However the performance was average. I suppose we have to be thankful for small mercies Two saves by our excellent goalkeeper helped immensely. It was notable that the custodian took on the role of organising the defence, throughout the match he was forthright in his annoyance of the standard shown by the back 4. Mainly their positional play and failure to press and close down in a professional manner. The midfield I thought was not up to standard their weak play put the defence under a lot of pressure, especially towards the end of the game , when a lack of fitness seemed to take its toll The forwards are weak not enough strength and a target man most be found before any real progress in that department will be found. I was pleased with the attitude in the team in general, they worked hard and seemed enthusiastic. One or two, I won't name because if they read this, it's not fair, but they are not up to the job, in skill, and their passing is very average to say the least. It is nice to see an improvement but their is still a long way to go.
  21. You are spot on with fans picking on certain players. When Billy McKay was with us he could have 4 or 5 terrible games but nobody would boo him and shout get him off. On the other hand if Polly or Vigurs make a couple of bad passes they get dogs abuse . We don’t have a Messi or Bale to take there place so give them a brake.
  22. Absolutely ridiculous. Whatever has or has not gone on previous there's no excuse for punching a colleague. Disgrace.
  23. Ach, they were probably debating the toppings for the post-match pizzas. 'All the meats, ya bass'.
  24. Mmm, it wasn't a convincing display with disquiet from some fans justified. If we had a decent forward we would have won about 7 or 8 nil. Polworth, Chalmers and Calder sluggish most of the game. Donaldson and Daniel MacKay were the plus points. I am aware the disharmony is coming from Robbo's style of management. Polworth hasn't exactly helped with his poor attitude as he doesn't want to be there. I also saw Gary Warren with his hand in plaster today. Training ground accident or another bust up? He was sitting with Ross Draper in the Main Stand in the second half.
  25. I said early in this thread that Polworth had a shocker. Others may disagree but in my eyes, he did. I have reasonably high expectations of the guy as I rate him, which makes displays like today's harder to take. However I am most certainly NOT one of the folk who picks fault with him in minute detail, as many in the main stand were today (as with many other games). I've got friends who would never have him in the team, whereas I'd never consider leaving him out. But... I agree that he's a confidence player and incredibly self critical. To me it's not lack of effort to back track when he's dispossessed, it's anger and frustration at himself. I could be wrong, I don't know him at all. However I remember reading he was notoriously shy as a youngster in the squad. I've no doubt about his ability, but a player with self confidence is always going to be more successful on the pitch than someone without it. Incidentally if he had been in the middle of the park today instead of Chalmers then I doubt we'd be having this conversation..
  26. We really are falling apart aren't we ?

He has been a great player for ICT over the years, and I agree that every player comes to a time when his career is coming to an end, but it would be beneficial for ICT to offer him a deal on the money that the new players are on. He could pass on his experience to the new squad and be there when called upon. It may not be what Raven wants, but it would be worthwhile to find out.
  28. I didn't see the Polworth v Kellacher incident but I wouldn't be surprised if he was simply pissed off at the 'support' he was given today from the fans. Granted he didn't have the finest of games but neither did most of the starting XI yet he seemed to cop an incredible amount of abuse from the home support especially from those in the main stand. Some of the abuse was absolutely shocking and I was quite taken aback by it. The sad thing is that not one of these supporters bothered to get behind Polworth or any of the players today but were quite happy to hurl bile at them any time a mistake was made. Now I am under no illusions that we haven't been great this season and again today we weren't impressive but I can quite understand that some of the players will be getting fed up at the home 'support' spending the best part of 90 minutes moaning and shouting abuse at the team. It's absolutely pathetic. If that kind of abuse took place in the workplace it would be tantamount to bullying and an employee would absolutely snap and maybe that's what happened with Polworth today. ETA: Oooft the pictures don't look great...

I would test David by offering him a contract extension but on terms more in line with what the new squad members are being paid. Interesting to see how committed he would be to the club and area. It could be a win win for both player and club.

Nothing wrong with Raven at fullback, seemed to cope not to bad today being left totally isolated with no cover in front of him. Forget his age and concentrate on his performances , not letting us down as far as I could see.

David Raven gives everything he has got still a better player than a lot of his team mates still got a lot to give even if its just experience.

I think it's quite clear that Raven's legs are going and he probably doesn't have much more than a season left at this level. Despite this though, I wonder if we could get a couple more seasons out of him by moving him in-field. Remember when the same happened to Tokely, Butcher moved him to centre-back (granted he was tall enough to offer something from set-pieces). Could a similar work with Raven? Raven originally started out as a centre-half and could he move back there, as a kind of ball playing partner to Warren, similar to what Josh Meekings did? Another option would be to have him sitting in-front of the back three or four breaking up play.

Personally, I think Raven is worth a new deal, even if it's a short term extension to the end of this season. Yes, he's lost a bit of pace, but he is still an intelligent & experienced footballer, which is what I think our young & inexperienced team needs just now. Maybe he's lost the pace for the premiership, but, given we are in the championship, he is worth hanging onto.

Mulraney is a club legend for some of them. Whilst agreeing with what Kingsmills says (Ofere for example is not a club legend) but Raven has been here for a good few years and largely been dependable and a solid player for us. He was part of the side that really kicked on under Butcher and saw us cement ourselves as a top six side for a good few years so whilst legend might be a but much for Raven he should definitely be thought of as an ICT favourite forever written in ICT folklore with that goal v Celtic. Oh, and this screamer v County...
  35. A team that was unravelling wouldn't have celebrated together like they did after the second and third goals, people are seeing things that don't exist, don't let the truth get in the way of a good story.......

Aye.. sorry to spoil your Raven love in, but he is past it, did well in the past but his time is up. Need young promising players coming through.
