  1. I can't comment on what happened Saturday, but suggestions that Scott Kellacher isn't the nicest of people and comments about his coaching ability etc are utter BS....and bordering on defamation. I've known the guy for years through being at the club and would vouch for him being a generally decent guy. He also seems to be held in high regard as a coach and, from my experience, has always been well respected by the vast majority of players.
  2. Polworth was unprofessional in his outburst towards Kellacher. That cannot be denied. I am wondering if Kellacher is the bad apple though. He seems to have been present in the various reigns of our managers where backroom fighting has gone on. Is he the viper in the nest? Should we not take this opportunity to get rid of him. Personally, I don't rate him as a coach or scout. Maybe it's time to clear out the dross in the managment department starting with Kellacher?

Wish I could agree. Perhaps "boycott" is the wrong word but probably deliberately used to provoke reaction !! But I know of quite a few supporters who have said that they will not be coming back until the mess is sorted. That could be a long time. People nowadays also look at spending their spondoolachs on things that are more entertaining and are not leading to a life of frustration, disappointment, disillusionment and anger.
  4. It's not great but believe me, there have been far worse over the years !
  5. Sorry but there was me thinking that the idea of a forum was to open things up to discussion. Winding yef neck in FFS is not really being open to discussion but censorship. I left Inverness to join the military - why? I used to struggle with Teucterism's of many locals who were too busy looking backwards to see what was coming upfront. I had thought that this "backwards" aspect of mentality had died a death. Sneck becomes a city, ICT rise up to be a club to be proud of, but then it seems the teucters take over once more. I cringe at some of the comments and commentators on here. It's fecking embarrassing, smats of jingoism and cliques, newcomers are often shot down in flames with comments, you are often left feeling about as welcome as a fart in space suit. Responses aren't always fair and measured. People are entitled to their own opinions and if they share them and others dont' agree then that is where dialogue kicks in. I get frustrated that the mentality that has held sneck back is alive and well and prevelant on here as well as burning ever so brightly at the heart of our club. I believe that there is no smoke without fire - what happened the other day is just another embarrassment and just serves to make us look like a bunch of teuchters all the more. I stand by my opinion that i gained through experience. I see a failed player gone into management who has been embroiled in more than one incident at the club - his tenure has been one through several managers from triumph to downward spiral - it continues to spiral. I believe that he, and to a degree Rice, have had their day and should perhaps be let go. Money saved with any luck. At the moment the "I worked with him" - "I worked with his brother" brigade are failing to see that actually losing Polly is more costly to us than a failed ex-player coach, who quite frankly, made no difference to performances until Malpas arrived. How many of the dross we have signed recently were scouted by Kellacher? He has failed to make a difference. Censoring statements with wind yer neck in FFS - is merely proving my point that many are stuck in teucterisms and happy to look backwards. Only one way this club will get it's **** together and that is by cutting out the rot. it's more the pity that the same can't be done with some of the deadwood that masquerade as "fans".
  6. Really? You want to get personal there too? I am 4000 miles away from most of you and whilst its true that there are several people on here who I have known and who have helped out with the site in some fashion over the last 24 years and who I meet and perhaps have a pint with on visits home ... there are just as many folk I dont know, have never met, and dont converse offline with or folk who have only been around a short time whose opinions matter when I read them because they seem fair and measured. Wind yer neck in FFS. As for Kellacher / Polly ... thats an internal club matter and Robbo would have been close enough to see and hear what it was all about. Dean the security guy from the tunnel was also there so able to give info too I imagine. No need to slate Kellacher's skills ... does anyone know his qualifications? what he has, what he's working towards or how good or otherwise a coach he is. I certainly dont. The fact that he has worked through relegation is irrelevant, just the same as working for a cup winning side is also irrelevant. he will simply be following the path/plan of the manager. As mentioned above, he was on Celtic's books at an early age but correct me if I am wrong, was it not injury that cut his career short ? I used to work with his brother Paul so knew the early stuff but i left that job and never heard anything until he trotted up at ICT later. either way, far to may assumptions being made on both sides here.
  7. The very last thing I want to do is to make any judgments at all on a hugely unfortunate incident which could not have happened at a worse time for a club already under unfortunate pressure in several respects. However, WITHOUT PREJUDICE, one or two objective observations are required. Firstly, it's disturbing to see so many concrete "conclusions" being arrived at on the basis of incomplete evidence. What do we have? Still photographs which give an indication of what as happening at the moment they were taken and which COULD hence be misleading. Anecdotal and possibly prejudiced allegations of verbal exchanges, past and present, which at best are circumstantial. Indeed, and remaining on a non-judgmental theme, I wonder how many posters who are complaining about these alleged verbal exchanges are also equally scathing about "sweetie rustlers" in the crowd? (I merely state this to highlight a potential irony.) Then I have a question on a practical matter. How does Ancient Mariner propose Kellacher might have "got physical first" from within the dugout? Next up, another question. Can Jockdoonsouth give us assurances that he is approaching this issue entirely objectively and has no anti-Kellacher agenda in any way, shape of form. I would also remind Jock that Scott Kellacher was also on Celtic's books as a teenager but is still by no means the only coach not to have first pursued a long term, high level playing career. Jose Mourinho and Craig Brown come to mind to start with. It would be a mistake to look at what I have said and conclude that this is a "pro-Kellacher" statement. I have merely made objective observations and asked objective questions in an attempt to bring back to the middle ground a thread which quite clearly began with an anti Kellacher agenda and progressed (not the best word, I admit) to the stage where Original Poster clearly lost it. PS - the single operative word of what Fraz posted while I was writing reminds me that altercations like this, regrettably but still not justifiably, do tend to happen in football, including at globally energetic premises not far from here.
  8. Seething. (Yeah, that's right, I'm bringing it back.)
  9. This is an incredibly bad post. 1 - Kellacher is employed as a coach not a player. His playing credentials are nothing to do with his coaching. Bryan Robson had a better playing career than Jose Mourinho, who would you rather employ? 2 - On what basis has Kellacher lead a 'charmed life' as a coach? He's been a coach at the club for years, coaching youth players, development players and the first team, including during some of our most successful periods. If you have any comments on his ability as a coach make them but you won't because... 3 - You are basing your assessment of Kellacher's coaching on him shouting from the dugout occasionally. What coaches say and do in the dugout is a small part of their job, especially a first team coach like Kellacher. Fans often base their assessment on what they can see so we get threads like this where utter blowhards mouth off about coaches being unsuitable because they said a bad word. You can see the same thing with Vigurs, rather than base their views on him on his production fans base it on his 'body language' or him shouting at team-mates. It's utter nonsense. 4 - We don't have an Under 20s team for him to coach.
  10. How is speaking the truth an outrageous personal slur? Pull your head out of your arse and see what has happened - a player comes off the pitch and thinks I know I will smack one of the "reputable" coaches for no reason. Having heard him from the dugout - he is not so angelic as some might think. **** me are you so stupid as to believe that Polworth was totally implicit in the scenario and Kellacher did nothing wrong? This is the problem with this club, in fact this forum, half the time the fucktards in charge are in a state of denial - it's all to do with cliques. As soon the club, and a few people on here, realise that cliques are toxic and destroy - the sooner things might actually start to get better. The club is a running ******* joke. Half the whinging and whiney ******** on here a ******* joke. Wake up and smell the coffee people. Sometimes I do feel the term Teuchter was coined for the mentality of Caley supporters and the club. It's plain ******* embarrassing.
  11. On a brighter note lets hope we have found a rising star in Daniel Mackay. Appreciate he only got 5 minutes but during that time he had the crowd on their feet at least twice. Cannot remember the last time I genuinely felt that good when we scored. Of course this kinda thing is not going to happen every week, but if we can progressively bring one of our own through instead of wasting our meagre finances on journeymen that must be progress.
  12. Where was this level of outrage when one of our players grabbed another by the throat during a match? The manager at the time reckoned it was a good thing and there wasn't much argument coming from this site and I don't remember people crying out for a statement from the board.
  13. I dont know the rights and wrongs here but there is a lot of assumptions being posted without any evidence. Not sure a fans forum the place for character assasination. Keyboard warriors spring to mind. NB this does not mean that general chat re the incident on Sat is not allowed.
  14. So you disagree that Kellacher was assaulted - plenty of evidence to suggest otherwise? If someone calls you names then physical violence from your statement is acceptable? This isn't primary school, this is real world - you cant just go and take out retaliatory actions just because someone has wronged you. Also are you suggesting that the coaching staff are not employees? #troll
  15. While abuse (personal) is not acceptable, general discord should be accepted, as fans we pay our money afterall. While its not great watching your team get beat if its when the team show heart, desire and effort but are just outplayed then that can be accepted but sadly for many games this season we have looked awful and quite a few players have the body language and attitude of not giving a f***. Fans are angry and had about enough, we've felt like the board lied to us over the summer, there are so many questionable decisions around the club and we now have a series of managers who feel public slating of players is acceptable including calling some (Ridgers) basically incompetent..........no wonder some fans think its ok to do the same. Unfortunately we can all write whatever we want and vent on here but the only way to express our views direct to the club are those 90mins on a Sat - while some (and I've heard the same abuse both home and away at our current and former players) seem to go overboard its a culmination of the frustration everywhere, it is a minority and there are still many who support and back the team - now we see it boiling over onto the pitch too.
  16. Thanks Milescott for pointing out what everyone seems to have missed while piling on. Kellacher is a coach, he has coached the team through relegation to near relegation again in two seasons, him and Rice need to go. I wasn't at the game so didn't hear what was said but in anycase, he is a coach and should never say anything to the players during a game except positive enforcement. You have cleared up the mystery of why a shy, pleasant young man should publically explode with such rage, and if indeed he said or did anything to warrant "disgraceful behaviour Kellacher," from the crowd, his desk should be cleared and its contents left in a box at the front door on Monday morning. Like I said, I wasn't at the game, I was at the QOS match in the main stand and like everyone, endured a dull 90 mins with an overall poor performance. But that's not the reason I didn't go, I am a supporter and cheer on the team at every opportunity, good or bad. It was because of the morons who seem dispersed throughout the main stand who think its ok to shout abuse at players far less support the team. The abuse is usually aimed at Polworth or Vigors and this is just not on. Some may make the argument that they have paid money and are entitled to shout abuse, that is just not true. No one has the right to shout abuse and if you do it to your own players, shame on you. No, I didn't go to the game because several times I had to talk myself of the ledge just so I did not go to one of these abusers and point out the error of their ways. If you are one of those people, stay at home, shout at the dog, do whatever but leave the stands to those who go and support the team. I will be back next home game but I will not sit in silence anymore and I would urge anyone who has their game spoiled by some idiot to stand up and say something because I will. These people need to know their behaviour is not welcome. Vigors may be in the twighlight of his career and may not have much option than to play out the end of his days under a torrent of bile but that is not the case for Polworth. He was out of favour with Hughes and played out of position, Foran always played him out of position, right-back against Elgin FFS? He was trapped into a three-year deal on a fraction of the money others get and the club including Rice/Kellacher have done little to nurture and bring him on. So when another club comes in and makes an offer in the next two windows, don't be surprised when he grabs his kit and leaves and who can blame him. The way he has and is being treated is disgraceful and he will be driven out of the club by the "supporters." Sad thing is, that would be the best thing for him.
  17. Scotland international, top striker, won promotion previously for Inverness. He has nothing to prove, unlike most of his players. Our fans need to give us all a break and get off the guys back. He and we need this like a hole in the head. Oh boo hoo hoo, he slagged off the players. If they can't take it, they shouldn't be here. It's easy to forget the blemishes of guys who were legends here. Let's not forget that they too had their critics and poor moments. Robbo has not suited some folk since he came back. Well tough, he's here, let's back him until the board see fit to remove him.
  18. 100 % agree with this. It when he loses the ball and does not chase back that gets me.
  19. The best thing the club could do is to not release any statement other than to say it's been dealt with internally and, hopefully, resolved.
  20. Perhaps as Highlanders the genetics are flawed.

ICT fans are not 'boycotting' games. A figure of just under a thousand is what I would expect for the Irn Bru Cup. It's true that home attendances are down and falling still further but this is due to the fact that we are in a lower league, not getting results and playing football that is unentertaining and seldom pretty to watch. Nothing to do with a boycott. You seem obsessed with dishing the club at every turn. For a supposed supporter you never ever say anything remotely supportive
  22. It's part of the conspiracy by the backward Teucter clique
  23. Sorry but if you want to have a sensible discussion, you need to stop speculating and get the chip off your shoulder over this. Would losing Polworth be more costly, I doubt it as he is one of many players not performing this season, as he did on several occasions last season. To be frank, his attitude this season is questionable at times, again he is not alone in this. As for Scott Kellacher, I don't know him but doubt it is his role to scout players and how can you, or any fans know, unless they have first hand knowledge of his coaching skills, know how good/bad a coach he is. Unless you have first hand knowledge of this, your comments are pure speculation. Sure you are entitled to your opinion but lets have some facts to back things up if you want a serious discussion. We do have some people who masquerade as fans, as do all clubs but your inference that your way is the only way to move forward is patronising to the many good and loyal fans who give their support to ICT.
  24. Am I bad. I love the word fuctard I’m going to use it on a couple of building sites I’m going to be on soon Cheers
  25. Young Daniel must be sitting top of the world rankings for minutes played per goal scored over the course of his career. Well ahead of journey men like Messi and Ronaldo etc! But we mustn't get carried away. Whilst it was an absolute dream start for the lad, it is important that people don't have unrealistic expectations of him. It will be important that the club nurtures his talent carefully. Talking of nurturing, I wonder if the manager put him on the park on Saturday because he felt he would be safer there than in the dug out!
  26. I have no idea what Scott Kellacher said but cannot imagine it could have been anything worse than one of Butcher's rants or for that matter John Hughes.
  27. Completely agree especially with this point. It was great to see the young lad score and also good to see the entire team celebrate with him as well. A rare happy moment for the ICT fans (and players) in what has been an almost year long period of misery.
  28. Quite interesting that my daughter who isn’t really remotely interested in football came home last night from uni and after the usual great to be back home etc pretty much the first thing she said was how all her lecturers and fellow students at uni were talking about our team saying how disgraceful it is to see that happening and it’s something you only see at Sunday league level. Social media makes things travel fast for sure. Oh for the days of b&w tv again
  29. It's only defamation if it's not true. Kellacher has coached the team from SC winners and 3rd in the league through relegation and then to relegation position so that may be an indication to his coaching ability. To suggest he isn't the nicest of people as utter BS after his abuse of a player caused some fans to shout "disgraceful behaviour Kellacher" would seam to kick your argument over the south stand like a QOS free kick.
  30. More mindless speculation and accusation. You seem to forget that there were others in the dugout including the manager who know exactly what happened (including those behind the dugout) Kellacher is hardly the victim, in fact, as Polworth is an employee and the "victim" of abuse and bullying from another employee, I would say his position is quite strong.
  31. Yes that's what i am afraid of. He appears to be not the nicest of people and I can see how he could rub players up the wrong way. Sadly, Polly is more likely to help get us out of the mess we are in than a hanger-on like Kellacher. Guess stupidity will reign and Rae will no doubt support Kellacher. If we don't get rid of him then the least we could do is make life easier for ourselves by sticking him on a final written warning - then when we do want rid we can easily put a few bits together, refer to this incident, and sack him for gross misconduct. No payments - just a P45. He obviously antongonised Polly with something he said. A couple of seasons ago I managed to get a seat behind the dugout and his mouth does seem to run away with him. He is obviously passionate, and caring about the club. Lord knows we need some of that from the players on the pitch. My observation is off one single event that I witnessed but there have been chants in the past, and there is no smoke without fire. Perhaps Scott is better in a less public facing role.
  32. We haven't released a nonsensical statement for a couple of days, I'm sure the club are cooking up a belter for this.
  33. This is clearly a very serious incident and would appear to be a very public manifestation of serious tensions within the club. I would expect the Chairman to take personal control of a thorough investigation of not only the incident itself but of the underlying issues. Given the incident is in the public domain, I would expect an early and very brief public statement to that effect. If what Milescott says is correct then I doubt we will be seeing anything more of Kellacher at the club. As for Polworth, he cannot possibly get off without some significant punishment from the club but I do have some sympathy for the lad. He was subjected to some disgraceful abuse from some so-called "supporters". He will have been angry about that and angry at himself for a sub standard performance after the early boost of a goal. In those circumstances, what the lad should have got was some kind words of consolation from the coaching staff. If Kellacher abused him as reported above then it is understandable if Polworth flipped. As I say, whatever the truth, Polworth must receive some punishment but he also needs the right people to talk things through with. Analysing how he deals both on and off the pitch with frustrations about his performance levels should help him to be a better player. Getting rid of Kellacher and bringing in a sports psychologist would be a good swop.
  34. Reading through the posts on here, the consensus seems to be that Polworth is the guilty party. I sit close to the dugout, and shortly before the fracas I heard Kellacher shout foul mouthed abuse towards Polworth, using language that had he done so anywhere else, could have got him arrested. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour. However, I have to concede that the photographs tend to show Polworth as the aggressor, standing in what looks like the North end of the dugout. I have to say, that when I first became aware of the trouble, it seemed to have kicked off at the South end, so who knows what happened? only those sitting in there will know who through the first blow. All I know , is that several people sitting near the dugout were shouting "disgraceful behaviour Kellacher". Regardless of who through the first blow, it is totally unacceptable behaviour that can only blemish the reputation of the club.
  35. Why should fans get off the managers back? If he can't take it he shouldn't be here. The achievements you've listed were all more than a decade ago. All he's offered since his arrival is signing total duds and calling the team useless. What is he doing about it? You are right, he's here and, as with Foran and Kenny Cameron, he has a backer in the boardroom. The fact that we're also paying for previous mistakes means he's probably unsackable. He might resign I suppose, but I think that's unlikely.
  36. The guy holding oot the bottles of juice to calm him doon.

If my contract was coming to an end and I didn't have any other options then yes I would. Over 30 years ago I had a good job paying very good money and the firm paid off most of the workers due to down turn in work, I took a job on a third of the wage I was on just to make ends meet. So if my employer asked me to stay on for half the wages I was on, and i wasn't on a footballers wage, I would do it. As I said, he may not want to and has other options, but what's the harm in asking, he knows the financial predicament the club is in.
  38. I said early in this thread that Polworth had a shocker. Others may disagree but in my eyes, he did. I have reasonably high expectations of the guy as I rate him, which makes displays like today's harder to take. However I am most certainly NOT one of the folk who picks fault with him in minute detail, as many in the main stand were today (as with many other games). I've got friends who would never have him in the team, whereas I'd never consider leaving him out. But... I agree that he's a confidence player and incredibly self critical. To me it's not lack of effort to back track when he's dispossessed, it's anger and frustration at himself. I could be wrong, I don't know him at all. However I remember reading he was notoriously shy as a youngster in the squad. I've no doubt about his ability, but a player with self confidence is always going to be more successful on the pitch than someone without it. Incidentally if he had been in the middle of the park today instead of Chalmers then I doubt we'd be having this conversation..

Has anyone stopped to consider that it may also be failings in our fitness training that are making things worse for Dave ?
  40. 1 point
The club certainly can't afford to pay Raven Premiership wages and, much as I like the guy, his current form doesn't warrant it. It was a little sad to day to see him being skinned several times by 2nd division players. But he does have good experience, he reads the game well, and he can be effective going forward. At our current level I think he still has something to offer as a squad player and would like to see him offered a contract commensurate with that status. He may think such an offer derisory and clearly nobody should criticise him were he to reject such an offer and look for a better one elsewhere. It would also be totally understandable were he to decide that now is the time to return down South both for family reasons and to look towards life when his career is over. At 32 his best days are behind him but there is no reason why he can't play for a few more years at a non league level down south. One way and another, I don't think we will see a lot more of David in an ICT shirt, but whatever transpires. we will have a lot to thank him for.
  41. We really are falling apart aren't we ?
  42. I am wholly in favour, in principle, of including the Highland and Lowland League sides. I'm also a fan, in principle, of importing the Welsh and Irish teams. However, currently listening to the Linfield fans at Tannadice while watching on BBC Alba, I am not in favour of importing their sectarian bile. We have quite enough of that domestically.
  43. Is it right that Polly and Kellacher have joined the Young Team. Their "flare-up" should surely result in media chastisement and a lengthy ban ?
  44. I have a raft of those - generally used for the Civvie fuctards that I have to deal with. A better one is a Hookwanking Thundercunt.
  45. Personally, I have heard Kellacher mouthing off from the dugout. It was never positive or encouraging. It is not deflammatory if it's true. I am not alone as other fans have heard him too. I cannot condone Polly's actions as he is as much to blame but just how much of it was down to Kellacher or Polly we will never know. Dismissing someone else's opinions as BS because of a personal friendship is understandable. I would do the same. That said, I have witnessed Kellacher in a dour rant. Maybe the dugout isn't the place for him. Perhaps coaching the U20's is the best place. Let's be honest his credentials aren't going to light up the world. He was an under-performing professional player who ended up in the Highland League. As a coach he has had a charmed life. There are many others out there with far better playing experiences, the same coaching awards, and they don't get the opportunities that he has had. First team football is not the place for Kellacher at the moment. And before you go jumping down my throat, shouting BS, etc ... please remember that other fans have witnessed some of these remarks and outbursts ... and yes fans were appaulled and did cheer comments in his general direction. I do think that action needs to be taken against Polly but I can also see that in public the club needs to move kellacher out of it's scrutinising gaze. Clearly, kellacher said something out of turn, and clearly Polly reacted. Both parties were unprofessional, and brought the club into disrepute. Robbo and Rae need to get a grip of this situation quickly.
  46. I’m not sure Polwarth’s ‘body language’ is much of a guide. I saw him playing aged about 14, and he had the same slightly hunched run, looked gloomy, but had a fantastic game. On the other hand, at that age, Ryan Christie looked like an enthusiastic Labrador puppy, chasing absolutely everything. The degree of abuse Polworth receives, must depend on where you sit. There’s a bloke near me in the main stand who shouts at him, but he shouts at several other players who he also seems to dislike. On the other hand, he’s also generally against keeping the ball, and in favour of lumping it long - and when they do, he shouts at Baird for his ridiculous failing of being shorter than the opposing Centre Backs. So, he shouts his opinions at most things and Polworth is just one of a long list of apparent irritants. If they can do it, players must be better off ignoring the crowd as far as possible.
