Where's the old highland league Caley fighting spirit all this talk bout league placing sand budgets didn't stop us knocking out so called big guns then I canstill mind the Airdrie game like it was yesterday!

Blaming yogi for the budget situations I don’t think is fair. He was starting to build a culture at the club that was allowing us to push on and we saw our best period of play under his leadership. Regardless of the signings he brought in, we would have NEVER been relegated under Yogi and therefore would have managed fine with our finances as we would have continued to build. Not to mention he would have given these young u18s more opportunities that could have helped the club continue to build from our local community. Talk to any player who played for us under Yogi and you won’t find a player who has a bad word to say about him! All of them say he was the best they had. He was creating a culture, one I think we need to go back to.

I've never been to a game and had any thoughts about leaving the game early, I'm there to support my team no matter what and to stand and clap them off the pitch at the end. I understand people's frustration and possible anger at performances but the last thing players need to see is supporters/fans leaving in droves. At the fore front of your mind should have been to at least show some appreciation that the team actually got that far in the first place and take pride from that. This goes for any supporter of any team by the way, I'm not purposefully singling you out.

I just think it showed the gap between a top half Championship team and a top 6 premiership one tbh. I personally enjoyed my day despite the result and I am grateful we got so far.

Think that's true throughout the division, United and County too.

I would disagree ..... The first half was indeed about keeping Hearts at bay but we did play some nice football too even if we had little or no end product. We were the underdogs and with all due respect to our squad, it showed. If that free-kick from Chalmers had gone in - and it wasnt far away - then it might have been our spirits that got lifted, and the end story could have been different ... but once Ikpeazu scored it was the Jambos who got a lift and the rest as they say is history. Our heads went down after that and we conceded the second and third. I thought Walsh and Rooney were poor but other than that I would give pass marks to the rest. Jake Mulraney had an excellent game for them (unfortunately) and this and the strength of Ikpeazu were the two biggest factors for me.

Which is why Morton are likely to be such dangerous opponents on Tuesday. We can't afford any sort of semi final hangover if we are going to take anything from this fixture. It may be a nightmare from the point of view of trying to sustain full time football on the finances available but it's a fascinating division from a competitive sporting point of view with each and every one of the ten teams either vying for promotion or battling relegation with only four games to go.

We have been trading on a sticky financial wicket (with the odd exception) for most of our history. The demands for success on the park have dictated our basic infrastructure, or should I say lack of it. I have heard that some wealthy individuals have pumped in some serious lump sums over the years just to keep us afloat but unless they have a serious agenda how long will this continue? If we don't go up this year I can only see a vastly reduced budget along with whatever that brings.

If anything, it was Foran's doing. The lack of wins, lowering gate receipts. And obviously getting relegated didn't help matters. Don't know how you can blame Yogi for it, when in fact, he was the one who took the club to levels nobody had ever considered before.

Whats to be proud of? Had any team we met beaten us other than County it would have been considered a shock result at our expense.

Many teams bigger than ourselves have faltered at a semi-final stage and fans left disappointed but it needs to be kept in context. We've said it before and we'll say it again on here that we are where we are and nothing that's happened before will change that, there's nothing wrong with having a lower expectation level but on this occasion I think you, and everyone else associated with the club, can be very proud of our run in the Scottish Cup this season. Personally I think we just ran out of steam against a team who had a far better physical presence than we possess and it showed from set pieces. Out with those moments of play and the penalty I'm struggling to remember them really threatening us. They did however counter our threats much better than we did of there's and that's from just being players of better quality. It mustn't be forgotten that we have a relatively young team/squad with only a couple of seasoned pro's so it'll all add to their experience and they'll learn from it as has been shown across the whole season.

I know Rooney was up against the kick it and run pace of Mulraney on Saturday, but he didn't exactly cover himself in glory with his game management or marking at set pieces. He may have a cult following after his antics against County but he has to up his game to claim a regular slot in the team.

Fair play : yes, I guess I am both pretty angry and frustrated at the relatively low level of expectation I now have from attending (admittedly not that many) matches over the last three seasons.

I get that but as I said in past seasons, when we were always very much the underdogs (against Hearts at Tynecastle and Motherwell at Fir Park for example ), we could always put up a fight with the 'bigger team. That was sadly never the case on Saturday.

Agree with OCG, but it would be a worry if we were to lose Ridgers. After a shaky start he has been generally outstanding for us. Arguably the player I would most want to hang on to, and I am sure there are a lot of teams who have been keeping tabs on him. It's the nature of our club though. We bring struggling players in, develop them and then lose them when other clubs offer them shed loads more than we can afford. Being a professional footballer is a short career and you can't blame these guys for moving on . We just have to accept the harsh financial realities and be grateful for the contributions they have made to the club.

We were in profit for 2 or 3 years around the time of the cup win. Most small provincial clubs survive on handouts in one form or other. The initial costs we incurred at the Longman have hampered us in the past , mismanagement of finances has cost us since. The risk to us is if we are continually wasting these donations the flow of funding will dry up. Internal personality conflicts don't help either.

Thought we were not too bad in the first half felt that was our chance to get into them & score a goal or two. Whatever Levien said at HT obviously worked as Hearts were much better & actually started to pass the ball instead of trying to play long ball all the time. Shooting on sight pushing more men up forward etc adding more pressure on us. Felt we played too deep especially in the first half the opening ten minutes was probably our best period of the whole game. Then we just sat back & tried to counter attack it didn't seem to have any effect & if anything it made Hearts come into the game much more. Was a brilliant through ball by Tom Walsh in the 2nd half which led to our free kick & best chance of the entire game it was a brilliant strike by Chalmers he was really unlucky to not score . We had momentum after that but after Tom Walsh got a wee knock & we made the subistuition getting Tremarco off for Mchattie we lost all the momentum we had. Hearts seemed to take control again & the rest is history.... Proud of my team for getting this far considering now we are a mid table Championship side it's a brilliant achievement for us. Part of me is kind of glad we got knocked out cause Celtic winning 3-0 today meant it would of been us facing them in the final with virtually no chance of winning. We would of been more then likely witnessing the day that Celtic won the Treble Treble Jesus Christ that would of been depressing... Fingers crossed Hearts will win in the final wishing them all the best. Time to focus on securing the Play offs & try to get back into the Premiership where we rightfully belong!

Well done the lads for getting to the semi- final. Big occasion nerves at times and slightly overawed throughout the game but what the hell we had an impressive start but could not capitalise, then we let Hearts come on to us and we never really regained sustained attack after that. Flashes of greatness with the free kick so well saved and the fabulously executed McCart goal that should have been allowed. The game really needed a goal from us for us to start believing but as what has happened to us many times this season an important decision went against us. Now it is onwards and upwards for the rest of the season, the team will have learned from the semi-final experience and will stand them in good stead for the rest of the run in. Fingers crossed and good luck is all I can say.

We are skint only players we will be getting will be on free transfers on about £400-£900 a week contracts. Hence why we are getting players from QOS Dumbarton Alloa etc. Think we should maybe wait till the summer & see what league we are in before we start making wish lists.

Tuesday is the big one now we can secure a playoff spot and if we do that what a season we will have had. Semi final in Scottish cup and the possibility of promotion back to the premiership. Robbo has done an amazing job with the group of players and resources available to him This year. All round a good season.

Disappointed rather than upset with our performance yesterday. Hearts looked like they wanted to win yesterday and we didn't. The lack of change in the game plan for the second half was what did us in my opinion as we never really had a good go at hearts. Might have been a different story of the free kick had of went in but we can't complain about the result hearts fully deserved the win. Still had a cracking day out though and I'd have ripped your arm off at the start of the season for another trip to hampden. So I'm pleased we got as far as we did. All eyes on securing the play off spot now and getting back to where we belong

We weren't on our game. We never pressed them and we allowed them to take control. They had time on the ball. When we had it we looked rushed. We made errors and gave the ball away far too often. If we'd have gone at them from the start like we did in our last two cup ties against County and Dundee Utd we'd have had them rattled and on the back foot. In my view Hearts were there for the taking - I mean even Partick Thistle gave them a scare. Having said that, we made it to the semi final which I never thought we would. It was still a good day out. Onwards to play offs now - lets go for it. Just one question - there were six substitutions in the second half and a couple of stoppages for injuries but...only 1 minute added. It wouldn't have made a difference to the result of course but could you imagine if that happened in a game involving 'them'.

It would be easy to be disappointed today but this was the diddy team mixing it with Celtic, Aberdeen and Hearts. Amazing really when you consider Owain Fon Williams , Col Donaldson and Sean Welsh were out of the squad. We've lost Angus Beith from the squad. We probably had to sell George Oakley in January. Daniel Mackay has had an injury packed season. Carl was injured quite early on in today's game. We had three youngsters on the bench today. So all things taken into account, quite a remarkable achievement. The cup experience this year might prove very useful in the potential games against Ayr assuming we make the play offs. With us having a superior goal difference and 8 point advantage, I cannot see Dunfermline winning all three of their remaining games and us losing all four of ours although nothing can be taken for granted. Tuesday game at Morton is now a big game - we move on.

Once playoffs are confirmed we must rest players...we don't have the depth that Dundee Utd have. Good chance for the young lads to prove themselves in senior games.

In all fairness, despite the loss, it was still enjoyable, and will go down in the club's history. Back on that cold night in November at Ainslie Park, I can firmly and confidently say that not a single soul who was there, had the word "Hampden" on their minds. We far exceeded ourselves, and on the bright side, we can focus on our play off attempt, and return back to the top.

Obviously would have loved to win and have another final, but playing against better players both technically and physically was gonna be tough. Another good run and eyes to the league again for the playoffs. Good effort in the cup this year boys. Let’s try again next.

Following Ayr's game last night their form is now 7 points out of the last 24 available. If it's them we'll face in the playoffs (looking likely) let's hope they keep up that form!

Given we have 29 points from 16 away games and only 20 from 16 home games, 4th is probably our best option. We are Ayr’s bogey team so a draw at home in the first leg then an away win..... We also have a decent record against United, so same again! Then all to play for against Hamilton, St Mirren or Dundee. I may be being optimistic, but who knows!!

It's not mismanagement of finances that have cost us it's mismanagement of the team, that's what people pay to watch.

Never have ICT had so little skill, leadership or fight. The worst performance by far in any ' big' match I have seen going back to the 1990s (cup match v Dundee Utd) The match was never a contest : the first half in particular was all about about keeping Hearts at bay. Very difficult (impossible) to take any positives.
